I stay here everytime I come to Seattle. It is in a good location where I can lime to many places nearby, like capitol hill, Pike place, the pier, and neighboring areas for tourists! my favorite part about this hotel is that the hot pot place is right downstairs and its my favorite hot pot place in seattle! its way better than haidilao and I love how i can just go down the elevator, make a right turn, and then I can eat an amazing dinner! the rooms are not bad, not the cleanest but clean enough where I feel. comfortable. We arrived and there was no one to deal with all the cars trying to get in there were no valet people and no one directing where drivers should go so my husband dropped me off and proceeded to circle the block while I tried to get us checked in. I tried to explain that people were right behind us and it wasn't safe to block egress but the people at the front desk said that it wasn't a problem. My husband just needed to block traffic and unload our things then wait for a valet driver to appear. I asked if we could upgrade our room to a club level but was informed that they have no ability to do so at the front desk and haven't for some time. I was very disappointed at this. It would have been one thing if they were booked but just flat out denial just because felt somehow personal (even if it wasn't actually). I went back out to the entrance to see if I could spot my husband and made him stop. Soon after a valet arrived and said he should park the car perpendicular to the other cars so he would have somewhere to park. This would have effectively blocked both the valet cars and the through traffic lanes. He then asked if we were going to do valet parking. I told him "not any more!" This hotel charges $69 a night for valet and the self parking isn't worlds cheaper but it definitely felt worth it to have our car placed carefully by us and not left in the care of the person who felt perpendicular/blocking through traffic was a good idea. Meanwhile I found our room that has a persistent sound of whistling when the heating is on and I found that the bathroom, while beautiful had a rather unappealing quality. When you use the toilet you are looking directly into a rather large mirror. When taken all together it makes for a rather disappointing experience. I don't think I will stay at any Hyatt again. There are other options that are pleasant and clean and well thought out nearby. read more

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hyatt Seattle. Our room was spacious, had a huge bathroom and an incredible view of Elliot Bay. The bed was super comfy (we've come to expect that from Hyatt) and the room was very clean. I've always found the people who work at Hyatts to be some of the best in hospitality and the Grand Seattle's staff was certainly welcoming, friendly and efficient, as I've come to expect. The area is very walkable to Pikes Place and surrounding neighborhoods like Capital Hill. All in all, we had a lovely three nights at the Grand Hyatt and enjoyed the hotel immensely. read more

Nothing grand about this Hyatt. Front desk staff was not welcoming. The smell from the restaurant below fills the hallways and elevators. I tried calling the front desk for something and the phone rang for 10 minutes with no answer. I had to call their outside line for someone to finally answer - only for them to charge me for the call on my bill! The only plus was the comfortable bedding, decent gym and the nice concierge guy who held my luggage for the day. read more

Another amazing stay at Grand Hyatt Seattle. The staff is so excellent here. Extra shout out to Lee the front office manager, and Sally in the club lounge. Lee made our son's birthday so special & that just made our trip. Sally was exceptionally sweet in the club lounge & made our time there so cozy and friendly. I wish there was another option for families aside from double beds, as we had to change up sleeping arrangements to make it work in such small beds. Next time I'll really have to consider getting two rooms, which isn't ideal. That's really my only negative here. The location is central to everything! It was a breeze walking to all of our planned activities. It was a wonderful weekend and this 3 night stay at Hyatt was perfect. We'll be back again and again! read more

This hotel is nice, spacious and close to the convention center, one major problem is the sickening stench of rotting beef tallow from the hot pot restaurant in the lobby. Even on the top floor you will smell it. If you like the smell, you're in for a treat, if not, prepare to be sick from the constant bombardment of rotting beef smell. I recently stayed at this hotel and loved it. In full transparency, I won tickets to the Broadway musical "Parade" at the 5th Ave. Theater. I asked one of my Seattle friends if she could go, but she already had plans. My mother still had award points from opening the Chase Sapphire credit card last year - so we transferred the points to Hyatt and stayed here for a night to see the play (I'm based mainly in Portland, Oregon and didn't want to make a trek home late at night). This hotel was right in the heart of Seattle. It was in walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants, other hotels, and less than a half a mile from the 5th Ave Theatre (and the pier/ocean too, although we didn't have time to see that). My mother has a bad spine and two knee replacements, so we needed a hotel close by to the theatre. Our best options were the Sherton or the Grand Hyatt. What we liked about the Grand Hyatt was that we opted for Club Lounge status. Be receiving this benefit, we were able to have appetizers/dinner, desserts, and Breakfast included with our stay. It was delicious and delightful. Some Hyatt hotels have stopped American Club lounges, so we were really happy to see that this lounge was still being offered. Lots of gourmet cheese and even salmon lox. This is the second time I have had Club status with Hyatt, and it was heavenly. We really enjoyed lounging in the lounge and appreciated all the food and treats. The lounge was spacious and even offered soup, cookies, yogurt, and lots of charcuterie offerings. The rooms had luxurious bathrooms and we enjoyed our view. We only had one robe and slippers in the room when we arrived, but we called an attendant to get an extra set. We wanted to go to the hot tub in the morning, but it was closed for maintenance. I explained that to her desk when we checked out, and they were nice enough to waive our parking fees due to this. That was kind of them to do that and we weren't expecting any compensation, so this was a sweet surprise that we really were thankful for. We were charged for the bottled water in the room that we didn't drink, but my mother called the hotel to ask about this extra charge and they told her about it- we didn't drink the water since we got water in the club lounge, so the hotel waived that fee too because it was mis-charged. It was one of the most magical weekends of my life due to the spontaneous adventure and nice perks. I would definitely stay here again if I had any events or plans in Seattle. Definitely splurge and spend more for Club Access either with cash or points - it's definitely worth it. read more

Hands down the finest Hyatt property in the Northwest! The grounds are immaculate, the rooms are spacious with no signs of neglect or wear, the halls are beautifully decorated with warm and comforting lighting, and the lounge (available for select members) is stellar with amenities galore and comfortable living room style seating! I appreciate this hotel being connected to a steakhouse as well as a Chinese restaurant, and its location provides excellent walkability to other dining and entertainment options as well. We always stay in the suites which offer premium city views and the way the suites are designed, they feel more like 2 bedroom apartments with lots of space to roam I always stay at Hyatt properties whenever I travel, and this is one of the finest in their portfolio. read more

Elegant hotel located in downtown Seattle. We used a Hyatt Suite Upgrade Reward to book a suite. We stayed in the Emerald Suite, and it was beautiful with breathtaking views. This Hyatt still has a Club Lounge, which is getting less and less common- especially in the United States. We enjoyed snacks and drinks the evening we arrived and breakfast the following morning in the lounge. The lounge is quite spacious and has two large televisions and plenty of comfortable seating. Upon check in, the vallet and door men were very pushy. I had to repeatedly tell them that I did not want their assistance. This was very off putting. One of the doormen said it was company policy to not allow guests to use the luggage carts. Never in all of my years of traveling have I ever heard such a thing. Needless to say IHG and the "Grand Hyatt" is now my least favorite hotel experience. I will not be booking a room with them again in the future. And I do not recommend them to anyone. read more

Stayed here for three nights! Loved: Staff were super welcoming/friendly. The bay view from our room was spectacular. The gym was a great bonus (lots of equipment to utilize). There is a starbucks attached to the hotel for your morning coffee! Also, some of the conference food options were pretty solid! (Liked the poke bowls). You also can't beat the location of being right downtown near Pike Market. The soaking tub was also a great (and unexpected) bonus. Did not like: Would have liked more free space in the gym for free weights (it was impossible to find a spot at peak times), the ceiling was leaking at some points during our stay in the lobby/in the conference area, and the jacuzzi felt a little outdated. I got totally lost. I tried looking for this hotel for hours. Turns out I booked out the location ahead of time and inbetween sourcing it the hotel ended up getting torn down. I ended up stumbling into the Grand Hyatt in the middle of all the chaos. It was slightly down the street. I thought it was my hotel. I ended up staying there but it wasn't my first hotel. I originally booked double bed and when they said I can upgrade to a corner king with a pull out bed I wish I didn't because once you pull out there is no way you even pass through. We stay multiple nights and it is just too much to pull out, making bed and put couch back every night so we end up just using the king bed, not ideal but luckily king bed is big enough to share. Plus breakfast is something to desire, my mushroom omelette is rubbery, obviously over cooked, a bit let down considering the price listed. read more

This was an exceptional hotel experience. I was in town for work but staying here made it feel like I was here for vacation. My view was stunning. The hotel staff was extremely responsive, friendly, and went out of their way to speak to me in the lobby every day I found the price of this property to be competitive with the other hotels nearby, and it was steps away from Pike Place market and the light rail station. My car was broken into using the parking garage attached to this hotel. I even have dash cam footage of the thieves, Hyatt security had no interest since the incident did not happen inside the hotel. They kept referring me to Seattle PD who never called me back and never sent an officer. read more

While visiting Seattle, my daughter and I stayed for 4 nights at the "Grand Hyatt" downtown. It was a great choice! The room was very nice, with an extra large bathroom, that had a deep, oversized bathtub, separate from the spacious glass shower. We especially liked the location! It was about 2 blocks from a large, gorgeous Nordstroms. The "Monorail station" is right across the street from the Nordstroms. The Monorail is a quick ride to the great Chihuly Museum, Space Needle and several museums, nestled together where it stops. Also we rode the "Light Rail" from the airport to the Grand Hyatt. We got off at the "Westlake Station", which was only about 2 blocks from the Grand Hyatt. It was about a 45 minute ride. We walked about 5 blocks straight down Pine and arrived at the fabulous "Pike Place Market". We enjoyed many shops and food choices there, as well as the beautiful flower booths. We got a lovely bouquet for our hotel room. I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt while visiting central Seattle, or attending a conference st the Seattle Convention Center! read more

I liked almost everything about this hotel - the convenient location, huge space, my huge room, the amenities (sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, nice gym & locker rooms on 4th floor), and toiletries (slippers, bottled water, makeup removing wipes, a backup dental kit, etc.). The one huge pitfall was that although my floor was quiet, the walls here must be SO thin. My neighbor's phone or TV woke me up several times two nights in a row even though they were not turned up loudly. I know my alarm clock also woke them up because I could hear them moving after it went off. Despite my room being very comfortable otherwise, I did not rest well because of that noise. read more

Made a reservation, need to add a night. I have called the Seattle location number and the 1800 number and I keep getting their virtual assistant who tries to transfer me and it hangs up. I have been trying for a week and a half to get through. I can't seem to add a night online and need to talk to someone real but I can't reach them. I can't find an email and it looks like I will have to drive into Seattle and make the reservation in person which is such a pain. read more

Wonderful stay in an Emerald Suite on the same floor of the Grand Café. We were greeted at the lobby and had our luggage taken up, but when arrived at our room, saw no tub, and had been given a handicap room. I was not having that after travelling all day, I mean have you seen these tubs. I know some people are not tub people, but they have great soaking tubs and if I am paying for a suite, I want the tub. Not only do you get a tub, but also a great shower. So, had to go downstairs with all my luggage and back up. No offer to take my luggage to my new room after tipping very nicely the 1st time, so whatever. But, hey... all good. The room had a nice view although you know Seattle in general is just cloudy. Nice surprise to have cute red umbrellas to use as we were walking a lot. The walkways are generally covered around the area, but ever so often they are not. The room also has electronic black out blinds, which on vacation is lovely. The room has a safe, drawers, large closet, soft robes and cozy slippers. We went over to the spa and enjoyed the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi although the jacuzzi was super hot and was a bit hard to enjoy. They also had a shower there to rinse off. They do provide towels there, so you do not need to bring any from the room. Super relaxing in general. Grand Café if you go during their normal hours is ok. The staff was fairly accommodating. They had a lot of fresh fruits, meats, chips, cereal, drinks, coffee, various hot plates. It was nice also to have a quiet place to chill other than the room to have a drink or snack. It is nice just to have that freedom to eat and drink whatever. It is very convenient, and I loved having it on the same floor. No waiting around for the elevator. I took a couple drinks to my room for late night as there is a refrigerator in the room as well. The hotel is very close to everything and very walkable. There are a lot of different food options around as well that will even deliver to your room. read more

I was on the 10th floor and I had to set aside 15 minutes to use the elevators each time. There was also not an easy way to use the stairs (also 10 floors both ways multiple times is a bit much, even on days I'm looking to put in extra steps ). I would avoid the hotel on busy weeks. read more

WONDERFUL OLACE! Very chic & high class. Bellhop everything! My husband was excited to have someone with the whole outfit on so he took a photo with the guy. So cute yeah?! The ballroom was a good size. And it was right there from the entrance. So it wasn't too far. Thank god! The food was delicious! They had mimosa's, coffee, tea, water, oj's. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage links and Fruits, yogurt and granola. It was SIFF's fiftieth year so we were blessed with celebrating a SIFFTY brunch with the whole lot of people from SIFF & other producers, directors, actors, etc. This was for the awards. We were fortunate that one of our own had won 2nd runner up for Best Actor/Character. Congratulations to our group and to our son's TV dad, Holden for an amazing performance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Surprisingly, the hotel was very clean, even though I usually bring Lysol wipes to wipe down everything and after wiping it down my wipes were clean. This trip took place in November 2024. Booked my trip through Expedia and got package deal that included our stay and round trip flights for 2 people. Our Uber dropped us off and the moment we arrived we were greeted by the hotel staff, we then checked in and that process was also very easy. We stayed on the 18th floor, our room had a view of the city, queen size bed, and a very elegant bathroom. We were there for 3 nights and we made sure to enjoy every second of this trip. Everything is walking distance (except the Space Needle, we took the Monorail). Got to see everything I wanted to see! Can't wait to go back. I'd definitely stay at the Grand Hyatt again. read more

We use it as our base location when attending Football, Baseball, Concerts and general visits to Seattle. This most recent stay they included tickets to the Glass Museum. I've stayed at a Grand Hyatt in Taipei and it was miles above this in terms of service and amenities. There were a few things that were below standard, irrespective of this comparison: **Housekeeping. We had turned off the "do not disturb" light around 10am on two days and no one serviced our room. Would be good if hotel can also communicate how we can let housekeeping know we don't need our towels replaced everyday. ** No extra blanket in the room then called front desk and guest services multiple times and no one answered. Call was placed sometime between 10 and 1030pm. So went downstairs and asked for this. ** Reasonably quiet for a hotel for about two nights then all of a sudden, we could hear someone turning what seemed like the sink faucet on and off. Two mins later, it was a louder faucet -- maybe the shower? It was so loud, it drowned out the TV. Based on this experience, unlikely to stay here again. Came here 12/21/2022. My stay was from December 21, 2022 - December 24, 2022. I am a Globalist. This was a 3 night cash stay. At my check-in, a suite was not ready. I was upgraded to a King Corner Deluxe in app. However, front desk told me that a suite would be ready if I waited a bit. I had to push for it a bit and it probably wouldn't have been automatic. Service was superb and the hotel feels massive. The lobby is huge and feels a bit empty, but during Christmas season there were many guests checking in. My bags were taken care of for me once I got out of my Uber. Globalist breakfast is provided through in-room dining room service. The Grand Club is "open", but not staffed and the food leaves much to be desired. No hot food at all and just some cereal and pretzels... Glad to see that the folio was clean and that I didn't need to press for breakfast or other charges to be removed from my bill. The Emerald Suite was spacious and I particularly enjoyed the bathroom and soaking tub. You can look at my pictures to see what the suite looks like. Overall, I'd stay here again over the Regency or the Hyatt on Olive 8. They seem to recognize Globalist status well and the front desk is nice.
