Great location good staff, food & service. Our room was huge, there is a parlor and the view from our rooms were good.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hyatt Seattle. Our room was spacious, had a huge bathroom and an incredible view of Elliot Bay. The bed was super comfy (we've come to expect that from Hyatt) and the room was very clean. I've always found the people who work at Hyatts to be some of the best in hospitality and the Grand Seattle's staff was certainly welcoming, friendly and efficient, as I've come to expect. The area is very walkable to Pikes Place and surrounding neighborhoods like Capital Hill. All in all, we had a lovely three nights at the Grand Hyatt and enjoyed the hotel immensely.

As a Hyatt member I would expect a little bit more friendliness from staff, maybe it's just a Seattle thing. The room was nice, clean, and everything working good. The bathroom was big and amazing. Great views from the window. The elevators were clean and fast. I would recommend staying at the Hyatt properties.

The perfect night in. Highly recommend room service!

Another amazing stay at Grand Hyatt Seattle. The staff is so excellent here. Extra shout out to Lee the front office manager, and Sally in the club lounge. Lee made our son's birthday so special & that just made our trip. Sally was exceptionally sweet in the club lounge & made our time there so cozy and friendly. I wish there was another option for families aside from double beds, as we had to change up sleeping arrangements to make it work in such small beds. Next time I'll really have to consider getting two rooms, which isn't ideal. That's really my only negative here. The location is central to everything! It was a breeze walking to all of our planned activities. It was a wonderful weekend and this 3 night stay at Hyatt was perfect. We'll be back again and again!

Reminded me of a wine cave.

I recently stayed at this hotel and loved it. In full transparency, I won tickets to the Broadway musical "Parade" at the 5th Ave. Theater. I asked one of my Seattle friends if she could go, but she already had plans. My mother still had award points from opening the Chase Sapphire credit card last year - so we transferred the points to Hyatt and stayed here for a night to see the play (I'm based mainly in Portland, Oregon and didn't want to make a trek home late at night). This hotel was right in the heart of Seattle. It was in walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants, other hotels, and less than a half a mile from the 5th Ave Theatre (and the pier/ocean too, although we didn't have time to see that). My mother has a bad spine and two knee replacements, so we needed a hotel close by to the theatre. Our best options were the Sherton or the Grand Hyatt. What we liked about the Grand Hyatt was that we opted for Club Lounge status. Be receiving this benefit, we were able to have appetizers/dinner, desserts, and Breakfast included with our stay. It was delicious and delightful. Some Hyatt hotels have stopped American Club lounges, so we were really happy to see that this lounge was still being offered. Lots of gourmet cheese and even salmon lox. This is the second time I have had Club status with Hyatt, and it was heavenly. We really enjoyed lounging in the lounge and appreciated all the food and treats. The lounge was spacious and even offered soup, cookies, yogurt, and lots of charcuterie offerings. The rooms had luxurious bathrooms and we enjoyed our view. We only had one robe and slippers in the room when we arrived, but we called an attendant to get an extra set. We wanted to go to the hot tub in the morning, but it was closed for maintenance. I explained that to her desk when we checked out, and they were nice enough to waive our parking fees due to this. That was kind of them to do that and we weren't expecting any compensation, so this was a sweet surprise that we really were thankful for. We were charged for the bottled water in the room that we didn't drink, but my mother called the hotel to ask about this extra charge and they told her about it- we didn't drink the water since we got water in the club lounge, so the hotel waived that fee too because it was mis-charged. It was one of the most magical weekends of my life due to the spontaneous adventure and nice perks. I would definitely stay here again if I had any events or plans in Seattle. Definitely splurge and spend more for Club Access either with cash or points - it's definitely worth it.

Hands down the finest Hyatt property in the Northwest! The grounds are immaculate, the rooms are spacious with no signs of neglect or wear, the halls are beautifully decorated with warm and comforting lighting, and the lounge (available for select members) is stellar with amenities galore and comfortable living room style seating! I appreciate this hotel being connected to a steakhouse as well as a Chinese restaurant, and its location provides excellent walkability to other dining and entertainment options as well. We always stay in the suites which offer premium city views and the way the suites are designed, they feel more like 2 bedroom apartments with lots of space to roam I always stay at Hyatt properties whenever I travel, and this is one of the finest in their portfolio.

Elegant hotel located in downtown Seattle. We used a Hyatt Suite Upgrade Reward to book a suite. We stayed in the Emerald Suite, and it was beautiful with breathtaking views. This Hyatt still has a Club Lounge, which is getting less and less common- especially in the United States. We enjoyed snacks and drinks the evening we arrived and breakfast the following morning in the lounge. The lounge is quite spacious and has two large televisions and plenty of comfortable seating. One employee who stood out for her customer service was Young at reception.

This was an exceptional hotel experience. I was in town for work but staying here made it feel like I was here for vacation. My view was stunning. The hotel staff was extremely responsive, friendly, and went out of their way to speak to me in the lobby every day I found the price of this property to be competitive with the other hotels nearby, and it was steps away from Pike Place market and the light rail station. I would absolutely stay here again.

The staff definitely leave something to be desired. I found them a mixture of condescending and rude. We requested early check in and where informed our room was not ready. Than watched them check in couple after couple. 2.5 hours later we got our early check in. A whole 15 minutes early. This was after it supposedly took them 45 minutes to clean the room. Now on to the room. The room was modestly sized with furniture shoved into every available space. The floors are plastic and cold. TV lost connection no less than 5 times forcing us to miss a few minutes of the show to reboot it. The best part was the bed. Very comfy bed. The comforters they provide are not designed for tall people though. The bathroom was not great. The shower is small with a temp control that sticks causing jumps in water temp. From luke warm to scalding quickly. For men beware the toilet. The water level is so high if you have to sit down to potty you will need to squat or parts might find themselves taking a swim in murky waters if you know what i mean. I would have normally told the staff all of this but the icy frosting on this stay was check out where the staff gave no greeting, didn't ask how the stay was or even express any positive sentiment towards us. In a city full of places to stay don't be fooled by there advertised low price. You end up with a low price experience for a high price in your check book.

He wasn't phased. He had the personality to a wet sock. The manager was running in and out behind the counter. Nothing was happening or being communicated to me. Finally, after a very long wait we were given keys to our room. I asked about any type of breakfast or happy hour. They don't offer any of that. The room has no little refrigerator other than a cooler drawer filled with outrageously priced snacks and alcohol. Good thing we didn't have medications that needed refrigeration. There's no microwave. There's no condiments for coffee or tea. There's a Nespresso maker for those people who enjoy Nespresso. I'm not one who particularly enjoys Nespresso. There were no pods anywhere. I asked for some at the front desk and I was told that it's hidden in the room somewhere. It's Christmas not Easter and I'm not going to play hide and seek for the crappy coffee. The furnishings were modern and cold. The lack of the little niceties that are standard everywhere else aren't here. (regular check in time) so we did have to drop off our luggage and decided to walk around. When we came back and our room was ready, my husband did call down and mentioned it was our anniversary since they had confirmed in previously but we didn't see anything in the room, and they were very kind to bring up a little treat for us including some delicious chocolate covered strawberries. The room itself was spacious and clean with a great view of the city (we had a corner view). The bath tub had a fun feature (water to fill the tub came from a ceiling faucet rather than attached to the tub. The towels were large and fluffy and overall ambience was relaxing with a couch in the room. Check out was smooth and they had our bill ready and everything was easy/correct so we did not have to worry. We also did have late check out, which was pleasant as we could have a leisurely morning. We did try the restaurant (All Water) both for dinner and brunch the next day. Service was very slow unfortunately for the restaurant (it took 1.5 hours while the restaurant wasn't busy, and they did forget our side of grilled broccolini until after we finished our meals/reminded them). We tried the tuna hamachi crudo, clams and mussels, roasted hen of the woods and grilled broccolini. The tuna hamachi crudo was good, though I was hoping for more brightness in the flavor. I enjoyed the clams and mussels as well as the roasted hen of the woods overall, but felt the grilled broccolini was a little too dry (seemed grilled without any oil or seasoning). We did also try a few seasonal mocktails which were delicious and the highlight of the meal. Brunch the next day was take out and we went with a steak and eggs and a caesar salad. Both were solid, but note that the caesar salad came with actual little sardines, so for those picky eaters, this may be a bit much.

The main issues I had were as follows: - A lot of the "extra perks" disappeared. When I checked in last time, I was greeted warmly and gifted a glass of champagne. I don't expect that exact thing every time, but when staying at a premium hotel like this, little things really make the experience a lot more enjoyable. It felt starkly different this time in terms of the service and generosity -- much more generic. - My room was far noisier than my previous visit. I'm not sure what changed, but I could hear noises from other units and from the street much more loudly this time. - On noise, the AC unit in my room this time was much noisier as well. Generally speaking, I still think this is a great hotel, but I had a disappointing experience this time vs my prior stay. I will give it another shot next time, but with caution.

The provided shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion worked well and had a nice light citrusy scent. There was a Keurig machine in the room; not my jam but helpful in a pinch. We always got stocked with dark roast coffee pods, which is my preference, whoo. Also an empty mini fridge which we were able to use for beverages and leftovers. The 7th floor has a nice little seating area outside the bar where I was able to get some quiet work done one weekday, and the outdoor terrace offers a mountain view on clear days. The fitness center is small: just two treadmills, one recumbent bike, an elliptical, a peloton, and many dumbbells, but I had no problem getting a treadmill run in each morning before 9 am. Water bottle fillers on floors 1 and 4 were super convenient, too. The valet parking is very convenient but pricy. You might want to check Spot Hero or similar to see if you can get a better deal on parking nearby. All told I was impressed by this hotel and I think we will stay here next time we return to Seattle.

Our last two nights of our journey were spent in Seattle at the Shafer Baillie mansion. I would highly recommend staying here. The location was great for getting to downtown and all around. It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. The greeters always opened the door for me, the check-in desk staff were courteous and always had a smile, and the checkout process was also quick and ended with an invitation to return to the property the next time I'm in Seattle. As soon as I stepped out of my Uber upon initial arrival, a staff member walked up to open my door and asked if I needed help with my bags. My room was comfortable in every aspect. The temperature controls worked great, the bed was very comfortable and had an adequate number of pillows, the bathroom was well-appointed, and everything was very clean. The bath towels were large, soft, and plush. The frosted door to the water closet was a nice touch for the sake of privacy if you were sharing the space with someone. The shower was not huge but it was more than adequately spacious for me. There were 2 robes hung in the bathroom (though I didn't use them). The small table and chairs near the window were convenient and comfortable to work from. The view from my room was very nice, especially during clear days when you can see the water and the mountains in the distance. The room was always well maintained after the typical morning cleaning as well as during turn down service. I appreciated the staff placing slippers by the bed and how they always nicely arranged my toiletries in the bathroom, replaced used towels with fresh ones, and even placed things on the table in the bedroom (like my charger, earbud case, eyeglass case, and so on) neatly for when I returned. The bar area at the back of the restaurant was a nice little area and had a table large enough for our group of around 8-10 to comfortably sit at while enjoying a nightcap. My breakfast the day I checked out was also high quality and my server Nathan was pleasant, timely, and honest about prep time of some items I wanted to order but was constricted due to a time crunch. In general, every staff member I encountered was pleasant, eager to help, and always smiled and made eye contact when speaking with me. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and have no complaints. This property is one of the top 2-3 Four Seasons hotels I have stayed at over the past several years. This hotel is an excellent choice for those wanting to stay in a waterfront property that's walkable to the cruise terminal as well. Though Four Seasons is not the most cost effective option for a comfortable hotel in downtown Seattle, I highly recommend this hotel based on my recent experience in June 2025. Where to start.... Location, location, location! The hotel is literally a block away from the entrance to Pike Place Market where you can spend days shopping, snacking, and enjoying the views of the water. The views from the hotel room are breathtaking as the Great Wheel (Ferris wheel) and Aquarium are just a few minutes away by foot. From the Four Seasons, we were able to walk to Chinatown in under 30 min (you can also take the train just 2 stops down) and Seattle Center where the Space Needle is located is also walkable and also accessible via monorail. The staff greets you at the door every time you enter and exit, and the lobby is full of surprises like premium coffee and tea in the mornings and a candy bar in the afternoon. Every time our room was serviced, it was done to perfection and then some. The chat function on the app was amazing as I was able to make requests and ask questions with ease. Responses were close to immediate. At the front desk and concierge, staff are also very friendly and treated us with respect and honor. They also provided great advice for food and sightseeing options close by. They never tried to sell me stuff where they would make money off of it. I could go on and on, but I have to say that my family's experience was extremely memorable, and if I could give this place 6 stars, I would. If you're looking for the optimal location for breathtaking views, seconds away from Pike Place Market, and still walkable to the Space Needle, Chinatown, the Convention Center, etc., this is it, y'all!
