I've been a few times-last time was to see Jimmy Carr live which was great. There's a bar when you first go in which is nice for before shoes and the interval break. The seats are comfy enough in the actual theatre and although there is not a lot of leg room this seems to be pretty standard for theatres anyway. There's a carpark nearby although you do have to pay for that.

It's maintained nicely, with a small cafe at the entrance. There's a good variety of films always being screened, although since there aren't too many screens the times aren't always the most convenient. Americans beware though! If you are a butter lover like me, while the concessions do serve popcorn, there is no extra butter. Major disappointment. I don't care if it's healthier for me, it still stinks.

It's a pub, but it's also a museum of sorts for you guessed it, The Stone Roses (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE), Oasis, Joy Division, and the like. If I could win the lottery, which I have never played, I would move to York and be within walking distance of The Stone Roses Bar. The staff are superb. Exceptional humans. The bar is nothing short of perfection. The drinks are well-made, tasty, and affordable. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Always. Looking forward to my next visit.

Spoke with two very sweet employees, who permitted me to taste a few candies before committing to purchase. This seemed fair, as they weren't busy and I am American, which meant I wasn't sure what things would taste like. In any case, the prices are reasonable. The staff helpful and kind.

this is a super gimmicky sweet shop, mainly for the tourists in york!…read more it does give a slight ye olde sweetie shoppe feel, as you walk in? but thats where it ends! saw plenty of york fudge, york toffee, boxes of sweets with pictures of various places/landmarks of york. not my kind of sweet shop! they did have a good range of sugar free sweets, and giant gob stoppers, the size of a tennis ball! and any parent buying that for there children, needs there heads looking at! its not a big space, inside the shop, and it has not been open long. but it will appeal to alot of people, mainly tourists!
