The store has a lot of colorful items and every kind of souvenir under the sun. The prices vary. You can find some awesome sale items. I got a gorgeous stained glass dolphin wind chime I'll be giving as a gift. While I'm excited for the owner who is retirement ready, I will miss this store. I found one of the softest shirts I have ever felt, but nothing particularly different in design, and it was over $200. So needless to say I did more looking than buying. From the moment you walk in this store there is so much to see, and it is filled with very unique home decor items, local items, exclusive infant wear and gifts, the afore mentioned exclusive clothing and then other almost obscure items like these really cool looking toddler convertible scooters for $130. I am still thinking about buying one for my granddaughter, but haven't taken the plunge. There are 2 pink Christmas trees filled with totally whimsical felted ornaments, everything from jelly fish to mice on skis. There was seasonal home decor for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Items for children like coloring placemats are sold along with fancy platters and tableware. Local items like a $69 large cream color pillow had all the Jersey Shore beaches listed in a black ink font. Very nice for a local beach house or to have as a memory of the best beaches on the east coast. I was impressed with the number of people working in there, all of whom seemed knowledgeable about the merchandise. One person immediately came to demonstrate the cool scooter when I expressed interest. I think if you are visiting with plenty of money, a desire for something different, or a fairly high credit limit you may find yourself happily leaving the store with a large ride on stuffed unicorn, or a hand knit maxi dress that your grandmother used to knit overnight but is now super cool. I think the entire store is super cool, even if it is mostly out of my price range.

Last year I had bought a canvas bag with piggies on it that I get so many compliments on! This year I returned for a wallet to accompany my purse but also found some adorable earrings and an absolutely beautiful children's book to gift. The gentleman who helped me during my last visit was the same from my first and was so very pleasant and helpful. He had grabbed new items still in plastic to replicate the items that I had taken from the shelf which I found so considerate. Definitely stop in if you are in the area! Sunset Beach is a must-visit every time I go to the Jersey Cape - have watched the ship off shore slowly be reclaimed by the elements. It has also been interesting to watch the little shops slowly expand and update from year to year - now featuring plenty (usually) of parking, a mini golf course, a small but nice restaurant, nearby concrete WWII tower converted to a museum, etc. I have noticed that the Cape May Diamonds® are thinning out a bit compared to the late 70s, but there are still plenty to find - which makes this a great location to take the kids & the great thing is you don't have to spend a dime if you don't want to. Also, there is a reason for the name - great location to watch sunsets out over the bay! Highly recommended!

Sane said "no pets". I told her that my dog would not be out of the stroller and she said I couldn't come in. Really? In this day and age? Not nice and lost business and future business from not only me, but my family and now friends that may want to go. This woman has always been cold but this takes the cake! I'm saddened that this will now be an end of an era for many. Poor customer relations from this business.
