Cute little place amidst all the touristy stuff. I like the decorations inside and the setup outside is nice for the tourists keen on watching the river. My only wish was the latte could have been warmer. But I really didn't have the heart to tell them so.... Will be back, hopefully!

Their famous homemade Milonade. Straw is not plastic, w fresh mint and agave syrup. Delish!

A physically small drinks place, quite a gem as it's steps away from Central tram station: a popular meeting point with the Capitol cinema nearby. If one has to be in the Central area as a meeting point, why do people go to Starbucks at Central as a first choice?! One should re-prioritize and come check this place out to see if there is space instead! A coffee/casual drinkettes place, one comes here for 1. Great cappuccino. Option of oat milk - real plus. They also make their own version of lemonade ("Milonade"), really nice. 2. Excellent people watching esp sitting outside, where the seating faces the direction of the water and traffic coming by. 3. Good for meeting one other person and having a chit chat. Not for groups. 4. Smokers will love outside seating w ashtrays. Sensitive non smokers will hate it but you always take the risk here sitting outside in Zurich anyway. 5. A place where people want to see, and to be seen. So bring your gorgeous self down here to see other fab people. If you look/smell like you haven't taken care of yourself in days, you might just stick out like a sore thumb here and get a massive stare down. Just warning you. Drinkettes are ok for what you come here for, it's a trendy drinks bar for trendy people to people watch... Don't expect the best whiskey selection in the world or the best roasted coffee beans you've ever had in your life (but it's pretty damn close)! It's the trio family of Bovelli-Le Raymond-Grande, but out of the siblinghood, I like Grande the most. It's got that Niederdorf old town cozy cool charm, accentuated with interesting people watching. Small caveat on trendy people: I did see once a douchey headhunter who was phone interviewing a candidate sitting outside next to me, speaking loudly and asking probing questions to the candidate on the phone like "how old are you, do you plan to have kids in the next few years, if you do that makes you not an attractive candidate"... So as ever in life there is always the possibility to discover all walks of life anywhere you go...

Great spot for people (and swan) watching. I had delicious peppermint tea and enjoyed a lovely pre-dinner respite amoung a lively crowd of college students and young professionals. It felt very "local" in the middle of the touristy Dörfli. The outside staff was very attentive. Although a little difficult to grab a table at certain hours, it is worth the jostling for a front-row seat to the street scene.

Americano and magazines - I like!

Great Ambiance and the bartenders were awesome. Was very busy, but staff kept it moving and handled it to perfection.

Good espresso- very friendly service at the bar. Place was packed as it was the first sunny day after a freezing cold period.

This place is absolutely incredible! The waffle was delicious, and the Greek yogurt with fresh berries was silky smooth. The eggs were perfectly salted--I know it's just an egg, but it was so good. The ambiance reminded me of an old dollhouse with ornaments in just the right places. The music playing in the background was neo-soul, and the crunch of my waffle made me feel like I was in heaven. If you ever find yourself in this area, please check them out, but be prepared to spend a bit because a good breakfast is worth it. It's the best meal of the day!

Our first stop once we landed in Zurich on our 1 week Switzerland trip. The restaurant is…read morerelatively small and when we came around 9 am on a Friday, it was pretty full so we opted to sit at the bar countertop. My brother got a bacon omelette which he was not particularly impressed with and said he could make the same quality at home. I got the hangover brekkie which consisted of a pile of potato wedges smothered in cheese, a fried egg, 2 slices of bacon, a sausage, and herb cream cheese. This.... was so incredibly heavy - I love potatoes but couldn't only eat half of it. Part of it is because the chef puts the entire plate into like the microwave/oven once everything is plated so the cheese hardens too quickly and the potato wedges were mouth burning hot the entire meal. Even 15 min in, I was burning my mouth on them. The sausage also had an unusual texture and taste to it, I guess I'm used to American sausages but it just did not fit my palette. Also cream cheese is a strange pairing with this dish, something like ranch would have been better. The only redeeming quality was the bacon was perfectly crisp. The cappuccino Dihei was just the boost of caffeine I needed but when I read orange zest as part of the ingredients, I was expecting like finely grated orange, not a thick slice of orange peel hanging off of the cup.

It's a bit divey, for sure, but not in a dirty or dingy way. Despite Yelp saying that credit cards are accepted here, the bartenders told me otherwise (with a 30CHF bill), so keep that in mind if you're visiting from out of town and have limited Swiss currency. I'm guessing those instances are probably limited, given the relative neighborhood-y feel to the bar, but with its proximity to the train station you never know. There's not much specifically identifiable as great about Olé Olé, but it's the culmination of everything about the place that just makes it generally lovable. The bartender gals are cheerful and charming, and even manage to have their own labeled beer as a result of their infamy. The patrons are chill, but friendly, so much so that we wound up back at the flat of one of the people we met at the bar to have some after-hours drinks and inevitably chat about global politics (some things never change). Pricing seemed decent, with 4 beers (I think) being about 25-30CHF. They only had the local beer Amboss on draft in two varieties, which was pretty mediocre, but still better than the Bud or Miller products you would find in a similar dive back in the U.S. This definitely feels like more of a shots or whiskey sipping kind of bar. The bathroom deserves its own special mention here, with some of the most odd / interesting decor I've ever seen, featuring a full size skeleton hovering over the toilet with a bouquet of flowers for a groin, and a machine that dispenses something called "Travel Pussy".

The crowd is kinda down-to-earth till the a-wanna-be-a-hipster. The music is nice (alternative - Rock). Prices of drinks are OK. Normal prices for Kreis 4. Just pay attention, it is a narrow bar. It gets difficult when you are with more then 4 people. And you can not be outside because it is right at the street. For sure a place to go once in a while.
