This will be my first review on Yelp and I had to start with the one place I can not recommend enough. I drive to Pennsylvania from New York City just to specifically come to Grandview, it's that good. The atmosphere is relaxed, the girls are friendly, and you can BRING your own booze. Yes, there is a cover charge (what strip joint doesn't have one) which is usually just 20 bucks. People will complain about private dances being pricey and that the girls are vultures but let's look at a different perspective here : Would you willingly get naked for a large group of people and not expect money in return? Would you be nude all night to only make 30 bucks? The answer is no and you should expect to spend decent money being in a strip club. Show the ladies respect and you will be treated wonderful here. Don't sit by the poles if you aren't throwing dollar bills, either. You get what you pay for and nothing in this life is free. Also, the routine they do on stage for bachelor parties/birthdays/divorces is done at every club and don't go up if you don't want to get manhandled. Well, Joe & Eddie have been quite thorough in their praise and they do make some points I agree with, but sadly the cold water must come down as I too felt compelled to talk about how this is one of the worst strip clubs I've been to. A couple of things have changed and could greatly effect your experience that I want to point out: 1: I went on a Saturday night (prime-time) from 9PM - 2AM 2: Cover was the standard $20, not 15$. 3: You can bring in hard-liquor (a rarity for full-nude clubs) but the liquor had to be poured into a cup before you could bring it in thanks yet another weird legal loophole. Where I come from, a Friday Night or a Saturday Night at the strip club means...bring out your full stable and bring your A-game. At Grandview, it seems to mean that only every local male shows up. Literally: I've never seen so many men packed into a club for so few dancers. Yes, it's nice to be able to smoke and drink and see full nude all at once in a clean club with decent lighting fx, decent music, and a friendly bouncer but guess what? All of that means jack to me if I have to swim through three rows of sweaty truckers / frat pledges to find a girl. There could not have been more than 10 dancers the entire night for a house of what must have approached 150 - 200 guys. Call me old fashioned, but if it's a seller's market, it ain't a strip club. The girls leaving the stage could barely hit the carpet before they were bought for private dances. The particularly good ones were bought so fast I thought they'd clocked out for the night until I saw them on stage later. A majority of the private dances I saw sold were AT THE REGISTER as the girl was clocking out of another dance! And even then you had guys waiting!!! I'm not saying I need to feel special, but damn... I'm not waiting in a line to get a girl right from your lap to mine. But that's what it felt like. Even at the stage. So many guys were piled on top of each other to look at one stripper that none of the girls had to even try very hard before the dollars came sprinkling in from whatever corner she went to. Yes, the dances are 20 bucks for decent mileage in a booth, but who cares when you need to get on a wait list to see a stripper? I'm ashamed of how much money I had still waiting in my pocket when I finally gave up and left about 45 min before closing. We came in here while vacationing in PA on a whim. There was a $20 cover, for guys and girls, and alcohol is byob but you can only bring beer bottles in as hard alcohol has to be poured into a cup in another room. It sounds weird and complicated but it's pretty straightforward. There were A LOT of guys in there but it seemed like there were lots of dancers too. So as you can see from my other views, I frequent strip clubs quite often. In fact, I've been going to them since I was 18 (what can I say? I like tits). Never in my almost a decade of strip club experiences have I ever felt more threatened or harassed like I did at Grandview. I was out for my partner in crime's bachelor party (he's my strip club mentor actually) and he had been there a few times in the past so we figured it'd be a good place to go. We were some of the first patrons to arrive so we were up at the stage from the get go. Things soon started to turn sketchy when groups of guys started to arrive. I'm not talking like 3 or 4 dudes, I mean the place was filled within about 40 minutes. Myself and another female friend of my partner in crime were literally the only non-employee females there. Usually this kind of scenario doesn't bother me simply because it happens a lot but this crowd was different. There was a very predatory sense in the air that did not make me comfortable. I had ignored most of the leering and drunk comments until one guy tried to full on grope me. He was about two seconds away from a punch to the jaw had his friends not pulled him away. We left shortly thereafter mostly because my partner in crime was worried for my safety. One review had mentioned that Grandview seems to be a gathering place for frats and I'd have to agree. This wasn't just normal bachelor party douchebaggery going on, I've been around plenty of that. These were the kind of guys you see in mug shots when a frat gets busted for gang raping a few girls. The patrons of Grandview are future sex offenders as far as I'm concerned. And before anyone gets riled up over my choice of descriptions, read my other strip club reviews. I'm not your typical female at a strip club and I can handle my own just fine (and often with a sense of humor and understanding). This was one of the few times in my life that I felt threatened just due to the sheer volume of creepy dudes there. Bottom line - If you are female, DO NOT GO TO GRANDVIEW. Now all that being said, if you are male and looking for an honest view of the dancers there, I will happily provide that for you. The dancers were very hit or miss. It was either super hot but didn't dance (lots of that stripper strut thing they do going on up in there) or could dance and do pole tricks but looked strung out on who-knows-how-many-different-kinds-of-drugs. The body types were all very similar which was a little off putting mostly because I like a variety of women, not just the same body with different hair and skin color.There were, however, lots of nice, big fake tits if you're into that sort of thing (I am so it was good for me). The full nude aspect really didn't make any difference for me at this particular club. Most clubs I go to are full nude and they seem to be more provocative with their dancing. The girls at Grandview were more like a burlesque show where they tease and tease and tease and as soon as everything is off, they're done with their song. Overall the dancers and the club itself weren't awful. Hell, if the patrons hadn't been such dickheads, this would probably be a four star review. But because of the clientele Grandview seems to attract, two stars is the best I can do. I'll end my review with this - when we were leaving, we noticed that two yellow school buses were parked in the lot that hadn't been there earlier. Yellow. Fucking. School. Buses. Ok so I went there on a Friday night in December if that matters. I got there at 8pm and there was only one other patron. Normally a strip club has women spaced around the room, but there was only one visible because no one else was there, even though they had been open an hour. They did then start the pole dancing with one dancer on stage. The dancers were very much not my type. So much so it was more awkward watching them then interesting. The strange thing was, when the dance was done, she would go back to the dressing room. I was hoping for just one decent looking girl to get a lap dance to make the trip worth it, and I watched 5 dancers come on stage and leave until I asked why no girls were just around the floor. I was told when it was really slow, they don't stay so the girl on stage has a chance at tips. Fine, so I asked the dancer who was the best of the bunch for a dance before I left. Mind you, in my typical club in Manhattan, I wouldn't even considered this girl, but in the circumstances this was the best available. Now to get in to the place there is a $20 cover. No problem, this makes sense especially since there is no alcohol. But to get a dance with a girl, you have to pay another $20 to the house then the girl works on tips only! That is absurd! Of the 10 or so clubs I have been in, I have never heard of such a thing. But since I asked the girl for a dance, I decided to go ahead. The private dance area was basically some stalls that look like they belong in a bathroom near the back. Here, instead of a toilet, there was a hard chair to sit in. Apparently the house rules included no kissing of any part of her body, so another negative compared to every strip club I have ever been in. After 5 awkward minutes I gave the girl $20 because I just felt bad for her and left. With how this place operates, even with attractive girls, it wouldn't be a good experience.
