Zingyaki burger for Cincinnati Burger Week.
    Tyanna M.

The Grandview was fine. I had a burger on Cincinnati burger week. The burger was good but was only lukewarm. I was in on lunch and they were not overly busy. I also had a Bulleit Bourbon Old Fashioned. The cocktail was really good. There was plenty of parking right outside the door to the restaurant. I also had sweet potato fries. This place probably deserves another chance and I may try again when it is not burger week to see how well they do. Service was also a tad slow for the number of patrons in the place. The bathroom was nice and it was also super clean so they did that right. I will get back there to try it again sometime over the next year.

We really enjoyed the restaurant. The staff was super accommodating and split the Cobb salad 3 ways. Tuesday night pizza were $10 each. #iraeats #iraeats1

What a cute, clean and spacious place. We went for me a glass of wine and Mom Joyce dessert plus to listen to Jeff Henry perform. We had a blast and we will return for dinner another time when Jeff's performing. Hoping they can fix me a vegan meal. See you next time!

We sat outside in pleasant weather at one of their high topped tables. The Cincinnati Burger Week special was a French Bistro Burger with 6oz patty, caramelized onions, bacon crumbles, Brie cheese sauce, and balsamic drizzle. I thought the bun and the burger were average, even a tad small; no customizations are allowed so all burgers are served medium (my go-to is medium rare). I love cheese but the Brie cheese sauce was a bit subtle. Service was great; the kitchen split our order of sweet potato fries between two plates which was thoughtful of them!

Grandview Tavern has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the Greater Cincinnati area over the last couple of months. I love the live music on the weekends and the food is fantastic! My go-to is the locomotive burger with sweet potato fries.

I ordered the Burger Week hamburger, with peanut butter and raspberry Chipotle jelly, which was quite delicious despite the bun being very cold. The sweet potato fries were good, but weren't hot. Service was poor, with the server only touching base toward the end of the meal.

    Nice big pieces of fish.

The first thing I look for is a nice patio. Unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating today, but I will be back for this fabulous patio. I was there before the dinner rush, which explains the emptiness of the restaurant. More people started arriving after 5:00. There were so many yummy sounding choices on the menu that it was hard to decide. I asked my server, Erin, what she recommends and she said the CAJUN BOURBON FILET TIPS were her favorite. I went with that and was not disappointed. The filet was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It is served over mashed potatoes and topped with onion straws. While the beef portion was small, it was a satisfying meal and the flavors were perfection! I added a side Caesar salad. Their house-made croutons were so good and the dressing was tasty and perfectly portioned. I don't often order dessert, but decided to splurge tonight and got a slice of the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake to-go. OMG, this is one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. It was light and dense at the same time, if that makes sense. So creamy and melt in your mouth delicious. I will dream about it tonight LOL.

We should have just left at that point but our kids were hungry. Dinner was finally served and it was good, but no one seemed very concerned about how long we waited. We asked for our check and then we were given the wrong, much more expensive check. I'm not sure if they were understaffed but the restaurant was only half full when we arrived. I wish we hadn't dropped $90 on this dinner.

What's striking about the restaurant itself is how quiet and calm it feels. With limited nightly seatings and every dinner table doing the tasting menu there's a sort of orchestrated flow that permeates the space. Not to say energy is low or it's so quiet you feel self-conscious talking; it's just that nothing about the experience feels rushed or accidental. As expected, the bread course was phenomenal as was all the food we enjoyed! We opted for the wine pairing along with dinner, which results in about 1.5 or 2 full glasses over the course of the meal. The sommelier did an excellent job introducing and explaining each wine, as well as why it was selected to pair with each course. All told, a lovely experience and one worth repeating--and not just because the menu changes every season.

The bar scene itself was very boring, honestly one of the least interesting bar dining experiences I've had in a while. The food was mediocre and not memorable. The only dish I clearly remember, and probably the only one I would order again, was the watermelon salad. Everything else was fine at best, but nothing stood out or made me want to come back. I'm honestly surprised this restaurant is getting James Beard recognition. There are so many better places in the area, such as Colette, Baker's Table, and most notably Grist in Dayton, that feel far more deserving and seem to be overlooked. It makes me wonder if Wildweed has some kind of connection or ownership that helps it get more attention, because based on this visit, I don't see it.

I was greeted at the door with a small menu to precede the course themes and a glass of delicious sparkling wine. The restaurant was very warm, welcoming, and artistic. The mushrooms on the wall were stunning, and the themed pictures throughout gave it a down to earth feel. Everyone was so kind and the service was impeccable. I started the meal with a hot towel to clean my hands - it was this moment I knew I came for a treat. Each course was brought out in a timely manner, and explained thoroughly. The food was beautiful, complex, flavorful, and hearty. Each dish was crafted so meticulously. I could taste the passion for their craft with each bite. The drinks were also made perfectly. Overall, this was right in line with many Michelin starred restaurants I have dined in. I can't wait to come back and try the dining room menu. I hope that our city can support this restaurant and they will stay for a while. I'd love to come back for the chef's experience again when they seasonally change their menu. Thanks for a memorable meal, Wildweed.

My mom and I dined here today and the experience was frustrating from the start. We were seated and initially greeted by one waitress who took our order, but we were quickly handed off to another server who was already clearly overwhelmed with multiple tables. This quick handoff likely contributed to the miscommunication surrounding our incorrect order, which could have been avoided if the original server had not switched us off so abruptly. She seemed far more focused on guests she knew who were seated nearby, while our new server was left juggling several tables on her own. I felt bad for her--she was clearly doing her best without much support. I didn't see a manager on the floor to help address the situation. On top of that, our food came out incorrect and had to be sent back to be fixed. We were also told my child would receive a kids' drink with her meal, which never came. Unfortunately, this has become a pattern--each visit seems to bring poorer service and lower food quality, especially considering the prices. I do enjoy the atmosphere, particularly during the warmer months, but between the inconsistent service and disappointing food, I don't see myself returning anytime soon.
