I loved this little beach side bakery. I enjoyed sitting outside staring at the oven enjoying my croissant and a coffee. It was a over cast day but this place made it so much more enjoyable. A lot of locals! read more

Pastries good! Service hit or miss…read more Went there two days in a row. First day everything was impeccable. Second day mediocre. English is not a language they understand. However when you point to what you want... they give you what they think you should have.. very disappointing. Both days had churros and chocolate. Day 1 chocolate was thick and creamy. Churros crispy and just right. Day 2. Didn't want churros but they served it anyways. Churros mushy and limp. Chocolate watered down. More like milk with a little bit of chocolate. Had the mini palmentos covered in chocolate. Yum! Crispy and good crunch! Loved it. Got that one to go... Good food but they might not get you what you want....
I love this place. It's overpriced... but worth it…read more They have 2 locations in central Las Palmas. And this location is by far superior! The reason I come here is only for the pan de chocolate. I'm not one that has much interest in sweets, but this is an exception. It's bread, but bits of chocolate and orange in it. And it is spectacular! The location near the beach really should be avoided sometimes. The waiting staff is so rude and mean. We ask if they can heat the bread and cut it for us. They reply... We will not cut it for you then serve us with a butter knife. Not easy to cut! But this location will heat and cut it for you. Then serve with a smile! ====== Just wanted to update my review. The last time I came here they wouldn't serve me. I have no idea why, but it think it's cause i'm a gringo or thought to be tourist. I stood there for 10 minutes being ignored while the girls talked. Some guy came in, they served him. I was invisible! Then they continued to ignore me. So I asked my friend to go in and order me a coffee to see what happens. He got served. So they're banned! I'm going to the Panaria on the beach! Don't know if this is a one off... Maybe this girl got fired or something. But I feel this was racism! I'm a paying customer too!

The Croissant was really good and big. One was more than adequate for breakfast. Yes i know. Having a french pastry in spain. The nerve! Well when you hungry you hungry :D. Most cafes use the cheapest coffee... I assume grind up the coffee in a dirty shoe first. Then most use the terrible tap water rather than bottled water. But there are 4 cafes near the beach in Las Palmas worthy of my return. And this place is one of them. And bonus... usually you get a bit size very small piece of cake. Not large enough to worry about the calories, but enough to just have a nice sweet special something with a coffee. And they always remember me and start my order when I come in. Now my class is over, I do come here at the weekends when I have time. They do also serve booze and food. You always get free nibbles when you order a drink. That's typical of the Canaries.
