The front desk ruins it for the office. I didn't not see Dr Hoang due to the lousy job of the front desk: I had an appointment on 10/7/21 at 9:00am, but when I got there ten min earlier, I was told the appointment was cancelled. The staff said she called my phone and someone answered it to cancel the appointment. This is ridiculous! How come I cancelled the appointment but I still drove a long way to see the Dr on time. Assuming she called (she said so), what happened could be she called but asked to leave a message but she didn't bother to leave any messages or send me any text messages to remind the appointment (as all the other clinic does). Instead, she just cancelled my appointment without informing me anything. This female staff ruins the office, ending up with I drove a long way for nothing while Dr Hoang lost two appointments and his potentially long term patient. I read similar reviews on the front desk staff's unprofessional and irresponsible behavior on this site. I guess if they continue, they will ruins Dr Hoang's business. read more

I'm not sure where I would be without Dr Grannis and Dr Huang. I first consulted with them in November 2018 which was almost three years after my brain and neck injury. I had seen numerous doctors including neurologists, chiropractors, a physical therapist, back surgeon, Cranialsacrel therapist and a neuro optometrist. Some had provided limited relief, some had injured me further and one, the neurologist, had dismissed me after my brain and upper cervical MRI was found to be within 'normal' parameters. Nothing was normal about my situation however. I was practically bed bound, always tired, could not withstand everyday sounds and my brain function was in decline. I just saw my life spiraling away. I could not be there for my family and it was a dark time in my life. I did some research and found that, for my constellation of symptoms, a gentle approach was called for. I was fortunate enough to find Dr Grannis, an expert atlas orthogonal chiropractor. I was astonished that he asked for and was able to view splices of my MRIs to provide much insight as well as a simple treatment plan. I was afraid of being injured again but Dr Grannis and Dr Huang took the time to fully review my case and exhibited the kind of knowledge about my diagnoses that no other professionals had been able to approximate. It took several months for my atlas/C1 to hold although the improvements from treatment were immediately apparent. I slowly began to regain vocabulary and memory recall. I spent more hours a day upright rather than in bed on ice. I spent more and more time in my family's company. And then, once my atlas was holding, the improvements to my health, mood and overall well-being came more quickly. My sons decided they wanted to homeschool in February and July 2019 respectively. It was not easy at first as I still had much healing ahead. But now, I'm so grateful to be able to make up for all the missed time. We have so much fun together. I'm also able to work a little for my husband's legal practice. Improvements include: greater mobility and energy, improved cognition, massive reduction in pain, migraines virtually eliminated, return of positive mood, reliable access to memory and vocabulary, can drive confidently rather than fearfully. I've been going to Dr. Grannis ever since I was a toddler, and I've been receiving regular adjusments throughout my life. I am now 23 years old, and have had various sports injuries from skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, surfing, volleyball etc. Dr. Grannis has helped me recover through some severe injuries that might not have healed correctly, without his knowledge and expertise. I saw Dr. Grannis in 2012 after being injured by chiropractic manipulation, physical therapy and decompression therapy. I was in a very dismal shape, unable to find a competent care for over a year and suffering at the hands of one after another: chiropractors, medical doctors, physical therapists that did not care for me ONE LAST BIT. Literally, for a while, every practitioner I went to, would recommend excercise or perform treatment that would only make things worse. At this time, I was on anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medication because of the amount of sheer misfortune I faced and the amount of pain I was experiencing. I was hardly able to carry out daily activities and could not even think of working (I am a software engineer) because of the amount of neck and upper back pain. The initial exam included manual exam of my spine to the level I have not seen before. From my previous experiences, based on 10+ different practitioners, the initial evaluation at a typical chiropractic office is no more than a brainwash and a way to enrich the practitioner. On more than one occasion previously, I was simply shown a movie(!) by an assistant about benefits of chiropractic care. All of it was an evil joke for me before I was seen and treated by Dr. Grannis. As diagnosed by Dr. Grannis, I was suffering from the loss of back curve on many levels, related severe muscle spasm and a sprain to my entire low back due to a combination of chirporactic care, traction therapy and stupid (for the lack of a better word) excercises prescribed by other practitioner. I cannot thank Dr. Grannis enough for actually caring that I got better, knowing enough to properly diagnose what was going on and referring out for things that could not be done in his office. I was given a simple excersice to perform at home and came for regular chekups and alignment of the SI joint. I was also given a reasonale time-frame for getting better that my body pretty much followed. After some heavy research for a Chiropractor, I went with Grannis Chiropractic Clinic. I got into an auto accident back in June of 2015 and my time with GCC, from June 2015 to Feb. 2016 was a pleasant visit every time. The staff of who I was serviced by, was Ken, Trish and Nancy. They're nice and caring individuals. You can tell right away, this is one of those, clients/patients come first place. I was always greeted with a smile and never left once thinking, if I made a bad decision or not and another appt. was already scheduled to my convenience. The office itself, is clean and well maintained. The plaza and the whole parking lot actually just got done with it's make-over. Looks great! It might be a little hard to find because my GPS (and I've heard from others) misleads you into another direction. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place and would come back (hopefully never lol because that means you got some physically problems) because of their professional standards and well trained staff. I have been going to Dr. G since the 80's. I got hit by a car and then had a body surfing accident- yes you CAN break your neck in the shore break! Fortunately I didn't do that but I had lost all feeling on my left side- he got me fixed right up. Dr. Grannis and Dr. Hoang are great! I went to Dr. Grannis about 15 years ago when the school nurses worried that I was heading toward scholiosis, but he realigned everything so that that concern went away and I have had no problems since. A few months ago I returned and say Dr. Hoang because I was having very bad hip pain. I had just started training for a half marathon when the pain started and was so bad that it was difficult to get into/out of the car. Dr. Hoang realigned the pelvic bone (which had somewhat twisted) and gave me some stretches & exercises to also help strengthen the muscles. The pain has not yet returned in all these months despite the fact that my training distance/time has been increasing steadily. Everyone in the office is also so friendly! This is a wonderful place with a great group of people! I first visited Grannis Chiropractic back in October due to my upper left arm being extremely itchy and burning. I met with Doctor Grannis and Dr. Hoang and we chatted and they did an examination and took some x-rays. Then I started my sessions which were quick and painless. The Atlas Orthogonal method is painless as well. After a few sessions I was not seeing a difference in my arm. Dr. Grannis did not want to give up on me so he made some adjustment on his treatment and decided to focus on my left side of my neck rather then my right. Within 2 weeks, my arm has stopped itching, completely! I had life without an itchy burning left arm. It was amazing! That was January. 6 months passed by and the itch came back :( I had not kept up with treatments during that time, something I regret now. I'm back to getting treated and I am hoping I get the same amazing results last time. I won't give up, like Dr. Grannis didn't give up on helping me the first time. I can't believe that I haven't reviewed Dr. Grannis and his staff yet. I've been coming here for about 3 years now, and even though I moved pretty far away, I still find time to come in 1-2 times per month. I have been seeing Chiropractors for about 25 years, with varying degrees of success. I have some chronic pain disorders that over the years have made me feel like I'm going crazy (due to being misdiagnosed for over 40 years). I went to see Dr. Grannis after reading about his specialty. I am not even kidding... this is THE most compassionate person, let alone medical professional, I have ever met. My initial visit consisted of some x-rays and evaluations and then just sitting and talking with him for a really long time... so that he understood what was going on with me. And... compassion! And his commitment to helping me feel better. Unbelievable! After 40 years of Doctors telling me that I was crazy or imagining my pain... or worse- trying to get me to take a bunch of drugs, or pain killers, this was so refreshing! I always feel better after my treatments, and I can tell that Dr. Grannis really cares about me. This is a small office with his wife, Trish running the front. She is awesome, so friendly and welcoming! Dr. Hoang, who is younger and equally compassionate! And Nancy, who assists with different aspects of the business, although I'm not sure of her title... There is nothing in Southern California I could recommend more highly than Dr. Grannis. He is kind, caring, and incredibly smart. The office is modern, calm, and fun. I've been a patient since moving to Los Angeles in 2005 - my commute is often upwards of three hours roundtrip, but I never question the drive in return for the level of care I receive. I struggled with a variety of ailments (headaches, digestive, neck/back pain) before seeing Dr. Grannis, all of which are no longer an issue for me. I'm a runner and have dealt with several minor injuries - Dr. Grannis (also a runner) helped me recover quickly each time. His knowledge combined with the advanced technology in the office (laser treatment, ultrasound, etc) and his COMPASSION for my situation were all things I'd never before experienced. I prefer chiropractic health care because I believe in my body's ability to take care of itself - I don't like medicine or the feeling that I'm just relieving pain and not treating/fixing the problem. Dr. Grannis' office was nothing short of amazing and what I refer to as my 'lifesaver'. The office is very clean, organized, and run by phenomenal people. Trish, who works the front desk, was very accommodating with my work schedule and always found a way to fit me in. I was suffering from daily headaches and weekly migraines for 9 months before my initial visit with Dr. Grannis and Dr. Hoang. They thoroughly assessed my symptoms and x-rays and were quick to helping me on the road to recovery. A few days after my first treatment, I was feeling better and had no sign of a headache or migraine. After going back for another visit, I was feeling great and my treatment had stayed the SAME as where it was when I left the first time. I have had NO migraines for the first time in 9 months and have gone from taking 2-4 advil per day, to ZERO advil. Dr. Grannis is very efficient, knowledgeable, and genuine. Dr. Grannis is special. You won't find a chiropractor more thorough or more passionate about getting to the core of your pain. I started seeing Dr. G in 2010 when I was in tons of pain and very limited. In short, he helped me get my life back. 2 years ago I found myself in an even worse state with horrendous back pain, gait instability and severe muscle atrophy. I was unable to see him until recently because I couldn't leave my house due to the pain. He took the time to thoroughly look at my MRI and found something my neurologist and the radiologist had missed. That finding will be life changing for me. I haven't been able to walk in nearly 2 years and because of Dr. Grannis, I've already improved in only 6 weeks worth of treatments. I'm walking from room to room with a walker, my gait is getting more stable, and I'm gaining strength in my legs. I owe my life to him. Everyone in the office is great, too. I suffered with nearly daily migraines usually at night. My family was used to me sitting in a corner with my fingers in my ears and a jacket covering my head. I tried going to regular chiropractors.The first one would sometimes help and at times make it worse. It would change sides over one eye and then after adjustment hit the other eye. What he did tell me was that the problem was in my C1/C2. I tried a different chiropractor and this is where I had my revelation. He snapped my head to the right and I instantly felt better but then he did the same on the other side and the improvement was gone. I realized I need a different approach for my issue. I needed finesse not a hammer. I researched and found Grannis Chiropractic. He was the finesse I was looking for. My C1 was rotated one way (discovered after X-rays). Using his instrument he tapped it back into place. Just a tap! What a miracle those taps are, I don't feel them but they make me right as rain. For a few months I needed to go back because it would slip out of position but that became less and less. Now I can hike again, go camping and just enjoy my evenings with the family!! read more

I have dealt with this doctor for many years now because he's one-of-a-kind. A first-rate diagnostician who is willing to make special effort for his patient. It's no exaggeration to say he is probably the best chiropractor in the world. I would go to him before I would go to an orthopod or a neurosurgeon. I have severe c-spine problems as well as many other complicated issues. I drive 2.5 hours with a friend who also gets treated here and it is worth every bit of the time.
