Their near perfect reviews left by many truly speak for the kind of restaurant it is. It's only 10 minutes away from my northeast DTC house. How come I didn't discover this place until a few days ago? This is not necessarily a fancy restaurant in any way but it sure is a clean restaurant. When I arrived at the peak dinner time, one of the workers was cleaning the little mess left behind by a diner. And she was very thorough in cleaning. I picked up one of the menus at a table and that was when this super friendly gentleman in the kitchen asked me, "Is this here or to go, my friend?" Ahh, thank for calling me a friend! Like I always do, instead of getting me a huge entree plate, I got me a few sides as a nice accompaniment to what I already have at home. Grape leaves and tzatziki sauce definitely sounded good to me on top of falafels. The same guy in the kitchen continued to be friendly to me while I was placing my order. He carried on a nice casual small talk conversation with me without any pause. He truly made an effort to get to know me. Once home, I immediately started my dinner. I was truly impressed with the grape leaves. They are marinated with jalapeño so they've got a good kick in it. This is very unique for grape leaves as I've never had spicy ones before. Falafels are nice and brown with perfect crunchiness. The tzatziki sauce was great for dipping some raw veggies I had in my fridge. Later that night, my daughter came by with empty stomach. To the question she asked me, "Do you have any food?" I replied with an evil looking grin on my face, "Yes, I've got just that!" and gave her some of the leftovers from my earlier dinner. She was beyond impressed with everything especially the grape leaves! "Where did you get all this great food?" she asked to which I replied, "Grape Leaves Mediterranean Restaurant on Mississippi and Peoria!" "Mom, we need to go back soon to get us more of those!" she uttered! This restaurant instantly gained a few die hard fans that night!!

My sister and I made a stop at Grape Leaves on the way to Monument from the airport after reading so many reviews. Thank you, reviewers! This Mediterranean food is legit, and the service is the best! We started with a creamy, delicious, gratis hummus with pita and asked for their homemade hot sauce. Yummmm. I had the chicken shawarma plate with rice from the owner's recommendation. My sister had a gyro with fries. Both came with a small salad with vinaigrette dressing, and all of the food was delicious! I thought I would save some for the next day's lunch, but that did not happen! The chicken and the gyro meat were tender and seasoned perfectly. Who raves about rice and French fries? Evidently I do because both were incredible. The rice was light, fluffy, beautiful and tasty! We didn't have room for dessert, but next time we will plan better. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, Grape Leaves! I highly recommend this restaurant. ~Nora

Still on the hunt for the best baba ghanoush in the metro Denver area, my wonderful MIL and I took the long drive out to Grape Leaves restaurant on Friday. Excellent decision because Grape Leaves rocks. Some of the best baba ghanoush and falafel in Aurora. And the place rivals Yahya's and the Damacus Grill for some of the best Middle Eastern food in the entire Denver metro area. Liked the staff and loved the food. When you're looking for some delicious vegetarian selections don't forget to try out Grape Leaves. (On the next visit I will report back to you on their lamb, beef and chicken kababs:). We were visiting Denver and on the fence about dining here. (We just got turned away by Great Greek, go read that review if you have time!) When viewing the restaurant from the outside, you may think it's a little sketch, but most restaurants like that have amazing food! Lol When we walked in, there were two parties in the dining room. The chef/owner came to greet us. He was really friendly. They brought out salads with a yummy dressing made with oils and vegetables (carrots) it seemed very healthy. They also brought out little bowls of sides, including a few that looked like a slaw, beets, and tzatziki. We ordered the hummus, it was so pretty and creamy! I got the chicken shawarma plate with rice. Portions were very generous! My husband got the chicken shawarma quesadilla and when I tell you that's probably the BEST quesadilla I've ever had in LIFE!!! In all my life! LOL it was so cheesy and flavorful, I almost wish I had ordered that instead!

The food is very delicious. The staff are very friendly, excellent customer service. Really clean and nice ambiance.

Don't be deterred by the humble looking exterior - this place is awesome! The grape leaves are seared, and so flavorful. The hummus is creamy and the baklava is unbelievable! Hussein was a wonderful host!

FINALLY-an authentic Greek restaurant that doesn't overcharge and underdeliver. Perfect amount of food for all!! Gyro meat-outstanding, tzatziki sauce-bar none, mini salads-divine! Engin was a wonderful host! Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Delicious Arab food and sooooo flavorful! I wish I had taken pictures of the grape leaves we had ordered as appetizers and the pita bread + humus we were given on top of everything ordered. We had ordered the chicken shawarma saj + lamb kabob plate, which are pictured below. Yummy!!! It's probably my top preferred restaurants around Denver, currently

This venue, as such, reminds me of "East West Grill - Arlington," near Clarendon, in Arlington, VA, just outside Washington, D.C., which my Pakistani-American BFF showed me, over 20+ years ago, around 2005, when we met, and where I took my Sierra Leone-American BFF in 2018, given she's also Halal. The customer service was exquisite, and Aqeel made our experience so hospitable! He told me they do not accept reservations, however to call ahead 15-minutes in advance, and later 5-minutes in advance. He ensured we had a table all set-up for our group of 6 women, and was so very attentive with us, ensuring we had everything we needed, while ordering. In my case, I ordered one of the fresh juices - Lemon with Mint - after seeing nearly every delivery order ordering it, and it was superbly delicious! Then I tried the Cucumber & Yogurt, of course, a favorite. I skipped the dolmas, as I was filling up fast! :-) And I ordered their signature dish: "26. Lamb Haneeth حنيذ لحم," which was superb! The lamb was so very tender, juicy, and a delicious taste, and I'm thrilled to have an ample amount remaining, for my lunch tomorrow! Highly recommend!

Honestly, I'll probably come back here for lunch next time I'm in Aurora just because of him. He's welcoming, funny, and clearly loves working with people. This is one of those places where you pick your ingredients from the counter behind the glass, and Marcus is not shy about making recommendations. I love that. The peeps working here know the food best, so I usually just go with whatever is recommended. Hot sauce? Sure! Actually their hot sauce is pretty hot and Marcus will try to warn you. If you don't handle heat well you should listen to him :) He joked with us and just made the whole experience awesome. Thanks for making a random Thursday lunch a good time, Marcus. The presentation was gorgeous with the puree spread out beautifully on a large dish, topped with olives, paprika, parsley, and a very generous dollop of delicious olive oil. An outstanding version of this dish. We received a large plate of very fresh pita triangles to go with the baba ganoush. These were great. We definitely used them to scrape every speck of eggplant off that platter! We both ordered the Gyro Plate. The gyro meat was very authentic, extremely tender, and very flavorful. The plate included a large tower of savory rice, a rich tzatziki sauce, a nice side of silky hummus, some pickled vegetables, and more pita. Another delicious offering and a huge portion. We also had soup as the entrees come with soup or salad. My friend tried the lentil soup and said it was flavorful and tasty. I had the tomato soup which was hardy and richly-flavored. This was a great meal. There's a pastry case with a choice of many Middle Eastern desserts. The foraged mushroom and brussels sprouts were my favorite. I especially loved the jalapenos on the brussels sprouts one. The hummus itself was creamy and rich and the pita they bring is warm and fresh. The tabbouleh was fine but nothing spectacular and it says it has avocado in it but I didn't detect it. I love muhammara and theirs did not disappoint. The pickled vegetables were nice but I also love pickled anything. Absolutely make sure to get the bright green falafels. Probably my favorite of the night. Perfectly crispy exterior with a soft warm center that I'd eat over and over again. We ordered the duck but I was quite full so did not taste it. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is the scallops were incredibly underwhelming and quite bland. The scallops themselves were cooked fine but no flavor and the pomegranate sauce didn't add much.
