We came here to look at planters the end of June. They have a nice variety of planters, plants and garden decor. We came close to closing time but we managed to pick a really nice round planter. Sad thing was we had to return it because when we got home we noticed a hairline crack on the top. Good thing was that we were able to return it and process a refund. Even though that didn't work out, we will def visit this place again and hopefully purchase something else for our backyard. Highly recommendable! read more

Grass farms garden accents is one of the best nurseries that I have ever been to and experienced. The selection of plants, the knowledge and support of their sales people all the way through to their pricing. They have a great selection and I was so glad that I made the trip from San Jose. I'd like to caution anyone going to Moon Valley. This is a very upscale and unbelievable place with selections and sizes of plants and trees, the pricing is very high. As an example, you can easily find trees going for more than $30,000. I am more in the hundred dollar range personally. These two nurseries are very close together, but I would highly recommend Grass Farm much higher for the typical homeowner. It was an incredible and outstanding experience to shop at their nursery. Called them not really knowing what to do as I had never ordered sod before and they walked me through the easy process, price was very reasonable, they were soooo polite and friendly. On the delivery (I feel bad I don't remember his name) arrived exactly on time. They give u a 2 hr window and he was right in the middle, polite and informative as can be. Overall a great experience and the lawn looks fantastic! Now 2 full years later and I am thrilled at how the law looks! Exceptional quality sod. If you're serious about your grass and you want to jump start it by using sod, this is the only place to go in the South Bay Area. After letting my previous water hungry lawn die, and stay dead for a few years during the California drought, I really wanted a new lawn, but definitely didn't want the water cost associated with growing it from seed (which I did for my lawn originally.) Furthermore, I have a young boy whom I wanted outside playing in the backyard, without having the long wait of growing from seed. After much research, I came across Grass Farm. The sod was delivered exactly in the delivery window, and I have to say it is a very high quality product! Much denser than you'll see from other sod purveyors. It doesn't require so much "filling in" after rolling it out. It was also cut well, and as such, was easy to lay out on my own (with no previous experience.) Following all of their instructions about watering schedules and whatnot, my lawn established itself within about 8 days. I had to mow it after about 2.5 weeks because it was just growing so fast! Following along the watering schedule, I'll eventually get down to watering it only every four days (my previous lawn required daily watering!) Now, my family and I just enjoy it! It looks almost fake because it is so beautiful!!!! Finally, the price is reasonable, as are delivery fees. Everyone I talked to was very polite and professional. After looking at sod from our local home improvement stores and a couple of nurserys, we decided to take a little short drive down to Morgan Hill to visit Grass Farm. Their selections and quality of sod were much better than what we had previously looked at. They showed us their samples, and answered all the questions I had. I was given some printed literature with everything I needed to know right after it is installed. Armed with everything I needed to know, I asked my landscaper to use the 90% Tall Fescue / 10% Kentucky Bluegrass blend purchased from Grass Farm for my installation. It is nice to be able to purchase high quality sod from a local close by family owned grower. If your looking to buy grass or should I say sod and you want something special like Double Dwarf Champion or Prestige vs the Fescue that you get at Home Depot, Nursery or Lowes then stop by the grass farm. The turf, sod is a reasonable price and much higher quality. They grow it locally here in Morgan Hill. This Palm Ave location only sells in bulk, 10 lbs of seed or rolls of sod. They also carry weed killer, fertilizer and other grass improvement products. You can either have the sod delivered or if you bring a pickup truck they can load it for you. You can't go wrong with the turf that is sold here. I used Champion for front yard (less traffic) and Prestige in the back (high traffic area). If you want to purchase in smaller quantities you can go 11 miles down 101S to Masten Ave at Garden Accents, the showroom and store is much, much larger, they also carry the same items, along with large pots, garden accents, tools, etc. I had to go there after this trip to pickup one lb of grass seed. 4 stars. read more

This is the second time we've used the Grass Farm for our home landscaping project. The great thing is they offer a drought tolerant sod for water conservation needs. I have dogs and I really need some lawn in the backyard so this type of sod combined with a high efficiency watering design is the best solution for us. The Grass Farm is so easy to work with. I called up a few days in advance to order the sod. I drove my truck to their facility where an employee loaded the pallet of sod into the back of my truck. And the price is phenomenal for healthy freshly cut sod. (They will also deliver for a reasonable fee). Super friendly folks. Highly recommend! read more

Had a severe reaction to sod in the past, had to remove the lawn. The removal cost me more than to put it in in the first place, not to mention the emergency room visits. Didn't want to repeat the experience. Told the "lady" in the grass shack at this place my situation, and asked if I could cut a few clippings to smear over my skin and test before the big buy. As she sneered at me in amusement, she told be that she couldn't spare a coupler of clippings because it had all been sold!! Where do they get these idiots? Is grass that much in demand that they can get away with this ridiculous customer service? These don't just grow grass. They smoke it!!! read more

He was just the best when he got to our home and put our sod in the garage for us. The sod was just the best we have ever purchased. None of that terrible plastic stuff holding it together. They had all the sod I needed ready to go. First trip I underestimated the square footage and needed double what they gave me. So had to make second trip. Second trip much better. I had help loading my sod and even was offered plastic to protect my car. None of which happened on first trip. Difference in people available to help between morning and afternoon. Loved the sod.
