Just a good salad bar for quick meals. You get in line specify wrap or bowl, and then you can go with a menu recipe or just tell them what you want on your order. Go through the line and then get your drinks and out the door. Limited interior and shared exterior seating in the small food court of a strip mall. Came here for a quick meal, and it was good. Only issue was some of the kale was faded. The server even lifted up a yellow piece to show a coworker, but then put in on my salad. No biggie, there is a lot, so I pulled that piece and two or three others off when I got it. They tend to be a little heavy on the dressing so you may want to specify light if getting a dressing. HEADS UP, the pricing is for salad only, when adding protein like chicken the price increases a bit. Decent juices. Good and Ok,, not amazing.

Food: Asian Salad (10/10) - A good portion, side of pita, and my choice of chicken was so good. The chicken had the grilled taste and I loved the flavor. The sauce was a good touch to the salad and I only had to use just one since they give you two of that sauce to-go. The pita is just a standard pita but a nice carb addition. Loved the combination of flavors and crunch in this! Service: The staff is so nice and the lady who checked me out at the register gave me 2 pitas since I was sharing with someone. So kind! Ambiance: It's small but cutely decorated. There's indoor and outdoor seating. A lot of people will grab and go here but some people also sit around to eat their food.

Graters Greens is a couple of suites over from its older and less healthy sibling, Grater Grilled Cheese, in the Friars Mission Center of Mission Valley. Their theme was bowls and salads, either in a preset combination or make your own. This type of fast casual eatery has become more common around the SD area over the past few years. The inside of the suite was clean and neatly decorated. There wasn't a lot of seating with around eight spots at a countertop near a window and one table for four. I didn't want to build my own meal, therefore I opted for a Nicoise salad with a salmon fillet which cost an extra $4. The components were mesclun greens, a hard boiled egg, green beans, garlic roasted potatoes, roasted cherry tomatoes, blue cheese, and marinated olives. A traditional Nicoise salad has anchovies or tuna as the fish. In this version, salmon was used instead. The server recommended the champagne vinaigrette dressing so I took her advice. The portion size of the bowl was decent, however I wasn't fan of the salmon substitution as it didn't provide the same balance of flavor as anchovies or tuna. That was the main reason why I didn't elevate the rating of my dining experience at Grater Greens to a four star level.

Wendy was amazing! So great to talk to, all while making us some of the best salads we've had in SD. 10/10

It's hard to be impressed off a salad but I must say I am - one the best salads i have had. i enjoy picking my own toppings, everything was fresh, she even asked to toss the salad with the dressing and she let taste a few dressings to make sure i had an idea of the type of salad i wanted. shoutout to wendy for being so sweet, welcoming, and just providing great customer service. I will be back - found my new spot

They're getting busier and unfortunately, sloppier. Last visit we made, the bowl was an absolute mess. Stark contrast to previous visits. The product wasn't as good either. The kale was OLD, wilted, and yellow. The steak had tons of... fat and other unappetizing pieces on it. Not cleaned up. Not taking the time to take pride in the product lately, sadly. We'll give it another try but maybe business is too much volume for them at this point *shrug*

Outstanding salads. Think of what Tender Greens used to be. Big portions, the options to create your own salad or order from the menu. They are very careful with celiac, including changing gloves without being asked to. The man who took care of me knew his stuff about ingredients and what options were possible. I did a create your own bowl, and with tip, it was 16.00. It's not too bad in this economy for lunch. They also own Grater, which is a grilled cheese shop next door. I am very impressed and will be back.

It's a casual spot, but the food leans more chef-driven and thoughtful. We started with the breadsticks and truffle butter simple, but really well done. The crispy portobello mushrooms were one of my favorites, super flavorful with a great texture. For drinks, I had a margarita and a bloody mary, both solid. For mains, we ordered the tri-tip sandwich (aka "Cardiff Crack") and the chicken sandwich. The tritip especially lives up to the hype really tender, packed with flavor, and easy to see why it has that nickname. Dessert is what stood out so much . The butter cake comes warm with ice cream and purée, and it was easily the highlight of the meal. I took a bite and just paused for a second it's that kind of dessert Overall, a really good spot if you want elevated comfort food in a laid back setting. I'd definitely come back, especially for that butter cake and tritip

My favorite salads are the Grapevine and Duck Cranberry. For sides I recommend the potato salad and tomato basil bisque. The aioli they use is to die for -- can't hurt to get a side of it with any sandwich! The restaurant is situated on the corner of Park Blvd. and Polk Ave. (more generally, it's on the strip of Park Blvd. between University Ave. and El Cajon Blvd.). There is usually a good amount of parking on Park Blvd. and Polk Ave., which is nice. The space has a simple-yet-tasteful modern design and interior, is always clean, with friendly and helpful staff. Great for lunch hour or a weekend date. Update: Came back today with my friend and we ordered the B3 and the Turkey & Cheddar Mousse sandwiches, plus sides of potato salad and cucumber salad, and a double chocolate cookie with pistachio and sea salt. Everything was really good, but the Turkey & Cheddar Mousse sandwich was the star of the show. The cookie was great too. We both agreed the potato salad could use some salt, but besides that it was a solid meal all around.

However, the man at the counter did not inform me there was an extra charge for the side, so be aware of that, because it was made to sound as if the side came with the wrap. Altogether, with the charge on the side and taxes, it came to $20.36. Not to the cold fish. You know, when I usually ordered some sort of grilled fish, it is usually either warm to the touch of even piping hot off the grill. Unfortunately, this Mahi Mahi came cold to the touch as if, right out of the refrigerator. Not only was the fish cold, but the when tortilla they used was also cold. They didn't even bother to warm it up. They should have at least put it on the hot griddle after they wrapped the burrito to toast it up. In hind sight, now I know why the fish burrito came out so quickly. I expected better from Swami's. On a good note, the burrito, including the Mahi Mahi, did taste good, but it's very hard to look over the cold fish. Please make the fish to order. The hospitality was friendly enough, but I did not like the way I was not told about the extra fee for the side. There's plenty of inside and outside seating at this location.

Bossam Spring Rolls: Bossam is typically eaten with a bunch of toppings in a lettuce wrap so they've taken that and put everything together into a spring roll. The pork belly flavor was great but since I can't really handle spicy, I had to pick at the jalapeños. For dip, instead of a peanut sauce, they had a ssamjang sauce. Fried Shishitous: Pretty average appetizer dish to share. They tasted great and luckily, no one got an extremely spicy one. Pretzels with Miso Beer Cheese: The miso beer cheese sounded so interesting and was why we decided to try it. The pretzel was average and unfortunately, the beer cheese was very clumpy. The head chef came out and mentioned that this was something they were having trouble with and I hope they've figured it out! Katsu Sando: I was most excited to try this and it ended up being my favorite! The katsu was super crispy and juicy. No complaints here! Longanisa Burger: We liked everything except for the guacamole, which felt a little out of place. I didn't even realize that there was a yuzu cream because it kind of just blended in with the guac. We mentioned to the head chef that it might be better if there were some crispy onions for texture and that would fit a bit better with the Filipino theme of the burger. Chashu Tacos: Comes with 3 pieces. Not sure if the flavor is comparable to chashu but it was good. Adobo Loaded Fries: We chose adobo as the meat since we already had the other protein options in other dishes. I think they nailed the adobo meat and flavor for the fries but I didn't necessarily think it was the best pairing with fries. Or I wish it was a bit more saucy so the fries could get some of that adobo flavor too. This is their first brick and mortar store and I hope they succeed!
