Paid for rush service ($270 - 3 service attempts)) to serve a 30 day notice (over a 6 day period…read moregoing into a weekend) to evict persons living in a probate estate home. Server stuck a copy of the notice in the door on second attempt because he "saw rubbish" outside and assumed they had moved. With that inexperienced and stupid attempt he basically told the occupants what he was doing. (I was told by the office that he had 10 years with the company) Three attempts means three attempts, lousy or not. The same night my client heard from a third party in communication with the occupants that they had found the notice (not legal service). I emailed the company THAT NIGHT and told them what had happened. The server had gone out the third time the next morning prior to the company contacting him. The entire time of the contract, it took the office HOURS to contact the server (they told ME this) They gave me one more service attempt because they had admitted they screwed up. The server saw lights on and heard voices inside but (surprise) they wouldn't open the door. For the last three days of the service period, I emailed the company for status without response approximately 10 times. When I called, they told me that they received the emails, and were waiting for their server to respond. I've been practicing law 30 years and have used many companies for service of process. This company had no plan on how you serve an individual, made fatal errors, and had poor communication both internally and with the client. I wouldn't use MSI to serve a notice to a child's teacher that they were sick that day, let alone anything important. Without any doubt among the worst in the Chicago area. Stay away and don't waste your money. ----- Regarding the owner's response below, it is utter nonsense. I sent these guys to serve notice on a vacant house for $270? The owner is lying. I told them three people lived there. They were sent there to serve notice, not to make a judgment call on occupancy? Oh, and do people ever leave a house? Their server left a notice in the door, effectively rendering any future attempts futile. The woman in their office admitted it, that's why they gave me an extra attempt. It wasn't a "courtesy" attemp. They screwed up. You have a weekend job and you don't communicate with the client? That's poor business practice. As far a suggestions. YOU MADE NONE except a stakeout which given your track record would be a waste of time and money.. I emailed 6 times Monday morning for status, and called when you didn't answer. Hey man. I know it's painful to get a bad review. But you should suck it up and try to get better instead of lying on Yelp. You have a poorly run business.

Local Guide·23 reviews·9 photos a minute ago New Appalling and dangerous. I am was recently a victim of domestic violence, and hired Resilient Services to serve a legal notice of a protection order. I paid them a rush fee for service within 1 day. This did not happen; after several days of delay the owner refused to fulfill the service and told me to dispute the charge with my bank. Initially, he stated that the documents I uploaded did not come through, so I responded at 1:11 pm on Wednesday, resubmitting these. He acknowledged receipt and then emailed to ask if they also needed me to supply a proof of service form if they fill that out. I spoke with him by phone Friday morning because I never received confirmation that my husband was served. Initially, he said today was still within 1 day service, but I submitted the order Wednesday, and today is Friday. This is a protection order due to a domestic violence situation, and there is a criminal case pending against the person being served. I am 5 months pregnant. I indicated to him that this was time sensitive, that I feared for my safety (which is why I paid a rush fee). He offered to refund the rush fee, and told me service would be performed later today and abruptly hung up on me, twice. He later emailed me retracting the partial refund offer, claiming they did nothing wrong. They are essentially blaming me for a technical issue on their end. I called in response to his email and asked if the service was still planned to take place tonight, again expressing this is an emergency protective order for domestic violence, and he declined to speak with me but said he would send me an update on the case. The update simply said "Dispute the charge with your bank. Warm Regards, Chris". This indicated to me that he does not intend to serve these legal documents, which has caused unnecessary delays and puts my safety at risk. Because of this, I had to hire a second process server and pay for the protective order to be served again because I am not protected until this is served. The police cannot enforce the protection order. His negligence directly put a vulnerable person's safety at risk. Chris McCloy had no intention to fulfill the service I hired them for, and they have been unprofessional and shockingly unkind to me during an already very difficult time.

Over two months have gone by, and I have not heard a word from him. Because of his lack of performance, I was forced to dismiss my clients case for lack of service. If I could do it over again, I would stay away at all costs, and I recommend you do the same.

RUN. RUN AWAY FAST. Oh that it were only possible to give zero stars!…read more Troy has cost me a critical delay in a delicate administrative situation -- which was explained to him in advance. As per our phone conversation on Tuesday last week, I provided a time-bound notice to Troy last Wednesday -- admittedly during bad weather, but I was able to make it to his office. I followed up multiple times by phone before finally canceling the request on Saturday -- because by then, it was simply too late. This is how Troy responded -- 5 days after personally delivering the document + payment to his office: "Jenny, Per your request I stopped service. Due to the weather on Wednesday and Thursday I did not have any servers on the road. The service would have been performed Friday. I can have the check and documents returned to you or served today. Troy Burch Owner and Chief Investigative Officer | Wisconsin State Process P.O. Box 121 Madison, WI 53701 www.wisconsinstateprocess.com Troy@wisconsinstateprocess.com (T) 1-608-606-2130 (F) 1-608-531-2003" The service "would have been performed"? What kind of weasel excuse is that? That's why I hired someone -- to _actually_ perform the service. Friday "would have been" fine -- even Saturday "would have been" fine. I could have done it myself, for Pete's sake. If you seek an irresponsible process server, who does not return calls, update you, provide timely service, messes up your legally-mandated, time-bound work, and costs you days of extra work, hassle, and legal fees -- Troy is your guy. You are warned.
