I was told by Dr Eidem that I had 4-5 polyps he had to remove. Three years later I got up the courage to have another colonoscopy as requested by my new doctor. My new doctor informed me after the colonoscopy was over that he found no evidence of polyps ever in my colon. I thought I was going to die after my colonoscopy with Dr Eidem. It took over a year to recover. Please, if you value your health, do not use Dr Eidem. This app made me give him a star, otherwise I wouldn't have.

I had to make my first appointment with his physician's assistant as he is so popular, he's booked for months. So I saw his PA and she was great! She had already read my history and all about what was going on with me! It was so nice seeing someone that was on top of my medical concerns. She said I needed more tests and that Dr Eidem would be the one to perform any additional tests/scopes. So I scheduled an Endoscopy for the following Friday. When I arrived at the clinic everyone was very sweet. When I finally got to meet Dr. Eidem, he was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail about what he was going to do and how he was going to take care if it. He allowed me to ask questions and I didn't feel rushed at all, he's very patient and caring. When he performed the scope he was very thorough and took samples of anything he thought MAY be a problem, but thought everything was great. He's just that thorough that he sends in samples to be sure everything really is ok. So Dr Eidem is great! If you need a Gastroenterologist in the Plano area, he is your man!

A couple days ago he experience severe stomach pain and vomiting which we thought was likely a virus. He went to the ER where they did a CT scan and found what they believed was an 6-8cm mass in his colon that caused a bowel obstruction. Before being transported, that ER doctor called to talk to Dr Panzer about the recent colonoscopy findings. I don't know what was said other than he told the ER doctor he doesn't go to the hospital. He was admitted hours later, another CT scan performed where they confirmed the mass. Over the next day we saw oncology, GI doctors and specialists. Everyone was as shocked and confused as we were on how nothing was found. I wanted answers or guidance from Dr Panzer so I called the office to speak with him. I spoke with Kyle, the office manager that was concerned and said he would have Dr Panzer call when he got out of procedures mid day. Nothing. No follow up after the first ER doctor called, no follow up from Dr Panzer or Kyle, or a nurse, nothing. Fast forward, further review of labs and scans, they believe that during the colonoscopy there was a perforation to the bowel that abscessed or became infected that lead to thickening of a section of the sigmoid colon causing the obstruction. It was to risky to go in and biopsy so he was on IV antibiotics and sent home with oral antibiotics yesterday. He is doing much better and we will follow back up for new scans and next steps in a couple weeks. I do believe Dr Panzer has a great bedside manner but the lack of follow up or concern to something this serious is so disappointing and negligent. Beware!

The party that took my call, could not understand the responses to the questions she was given after repeated attempts. She was oppositional and not conversant in English sufficiently to understand the question she was asking, but still wanted to insist on, forcing the patient to go through a predetermined list of questions that the office requires we completed, even if it was apparent that she didn't understand the responses that she had asked him questions previously. Moreover, a call to the office manager affirms that is their policy to treat patients through a pre-screening process to "qualify" the patient for the appointment. This is not a press it to where you get an appointment scheduled and then are sent a questionnaire. Although the office manager asserts that they're doctors that need to collect this information, the person that's collecting. The intake process an office personnel are absolutely critical, and reflect on the quality of the practice. After this interaction, it's apparent to me that this is an assembly line. We're any patient that cares about whether the doctor actually sees them and respects them and their rights as a patient should probably go elsewhere. I certainly am.
