i lived here for 5 years, they were great until I moved out I did not have a choice my youngest daughter moved back home and we could not live in a 2 bed room apartment, they have hit me with every little fee possible, charged me $150 for vertical blinds because 1 was broken but they were not new blinds when I moved in, also charge me 500 for a spot on carpet that was there when I moved in, they have changed management so many times. They raised my rent one time after I had already signed my lease, I have an attorney working on this because I will not pay for something I did not do. read more

I would rather live on the street than live at Grayton on Dean. I have lived in a lot of places in my lifetime and this place is by FAR the worst. We have had several issues. Our A/C hasn't worked since the day we moved in, took them over half a year to come and even TRY and fix it. We are breathing in black mold and dust and they refused to clean it. Our ceiling in the bathroom leaks horribly and their solution was not to fix it but to tell our upstairs neighbors "not to take baths." I have tried to be nice but I'm done with that. Do NOT move here. They just take your money and never fix anything. The staff in the office tries to act like they care but if they did we would not be dealing with this. Absolutely ridiculous. If you're looking for a place to live in Auburn, don't choose here! I kept my apartment insanely clean, but you can still expect your apartment to be full of roaches and the leasing office to do absolutely nothing about it. The leasing office will tell you they'll send someone out to spray, and in walks a maintenance man with a jug of Raid. I called the leasing office multiple times about this issue and my dad did as well. Yet, nothing was done and the roaches continue to roam the place. If you're looking to overpay for what you get, then this might be the place for you!!! Also all of your neighbors are drug addicts and throw cat litter on the walkways. You will also have dogs that like to attack people as well as other dogs, to which the leasing office will say they removed the dog from the property only for the dog to be back a week later. Whatever you do, do NOT move in here. You pay way too much money for what you get in return. The leasing office could care less about their tenants and are just looking for a pay check every week. read more

If you like the smell and odor of marijuana in your apartment then this is the place for you. I've made several complaints to the management and nothing has been done. I have to run my air conditioner with the patio door open to air the place out. Energy cost are high because of that. Most evenings you can get high on the smell of marijuana by coming in the door. Karen the new management person wittiness this on a nice Friday afternoon. One good thing Maintenance has been responsive to most issues. My patio blinds have been un operational since I've moved in- they don't open. So, we prop them open. The flooring here is soft linoleum and tears if you look at it hard. Wrong choice for high traffic units. We've seen a few pests but minor in the grand scheme of things. Neighbors with large dogs leave huge deposits of defecation around the complex. read more

This place it's a rat hole in disguise. The management told me if I wanted something better I needed to go elsewhere, so I stayed one month and found another place nearby for around the same price. They move me into a unit that had a nuisance dog in the unit above it barked constantly day and night. The management team knew about this and does nothing about it. The laundry room is dirty and not cared for. They do have a nice little fitness center but you need to go off hours because of its size. I would recommend that you find other housing arrangements then looking at this place! read more

Affordable, good amenities, and AWESOME location! Not the newest apartment community in Auburn, but has a lot going for it -- particularly for students on a budget, or non-students looking for a community that isn't dominated by kids who just want to party. One of the few places close to campus/downtown that's still affordable. They rent by the entire apartment, and not by the bedroom. Lease terms are not dependent on the school year, so you can move in/out any month. Rent doesn't include utilities, which is one way they are probably able to keep prices pretty low, unlike some communities around town that offer luxuries like valet trash service. Call me crazy, but I can take my own trash out if it means I'm saving a good amount of money. They have a student discount, and a discount for people who work at certain places. Be sure to ask if your employer is on the list, because it is not really publicized. Best thing about this place is the location. Only a mile from campus, with sidewalks the whole way there, so you can walk to class in a pinch if you miss the transit. Transit bus does not come into the parking lot here, but there are two stops within easy walking distance. Kroger is right next door, and right down the street you have a couple gas stations, drug stores, a lot of different restaurants, Hastings (bookstore and movie rentals), bowling alley, public library, and a bar. Very convenient if you don't have a car. One important thing to know before checking this place out: there are two distinctly different areas of the community, with different building types, and different interior layouts (and prices). The older section is made up of brick buildings surrounding a courtyard area with a pool. This is the part you can see easily just driving by on Dean Rd. It has the retro-motel architecture that can be found closer to campus in the downtown area. In this section, every door is on a long breezeway, so you don't have a private balcony or porch, and the entire front wall of each apartment is glass, so they're very bright and allow for a lot of natural light. All the kitchens have good cabinet space and are open, with a bar looking into the living room. Big bathrooms with huge mirrors and storage space. Bedrooms are decent size with big closets. Your bedroom window will face either Dean Rd or the parking lot, but they are well-insulated, so there's hardly any traffic noise. These apartments are all above average in size for Auburn. And super cheap! You will be hard-pressed to find this amount of space for the price, especially this close to campus. Helpful hint: these units are the lowest priced ones in this complex, BUT they are the largest. Drawbacks if you choose this area: Parking is a good distance from your front door. Probably not an issue unless you are really lazy, if you have a small child, or if you buy a ton of groceries. The buildings are pretty old, so floors are creaky. It helps to be on the second floor, so you don't hear people walking above you. Some of the appliances are old but kept in working condition. Might not look fancy, but they get the job done. Probably another reason why rent is cheap. Again, these buildings are OLD. You will have the occasional maintenance problem. On the bright side, the maintenance staff (only a couple guys) seems pretty knowledgeable, and they usually get things done quick. They are on-call 24-hours a day, so if you have an emergency at night or on the weekend, they will still come out and get it fixed. And if they can't fix something, they will replace it. The rest of the community is made up of buildings that are about 20 years newer than these. They are the yellow buildings that extend towards the back of the community and can be seen from Annalue Drive. Smaller but cost more because they're newer buildings with newer appliances. Fewer apartments per building, so more quiet/private. Parking is right outside your front door. Semi-private patio or balcony, shared with only one other apartment. Close to the smaller of the two pools, which is heated and open on the weekends in the winter time. Also closer to the dog park, if you are a pet parent. Separate dining area and enclosed kitchen. The best thing is the huge living room in the 2 BR. In general, people tend to keep to themselves in this section. Potential drawbacks if you choose this area: If you're in a 1 BR, any visitors have to pass through your bedroom to get to the bathroom. (No hallway.) None of them have WD hookups (but are close to a laundry room). Office staff is friendly and willing to help with just about any issue. They take split payments and will work with you if you have an emergency come up. I know of a lot of instances where they've actually gone out of their way to help residents, even with personal issues. They're good people, very understanding, they know your name, and you won't end up feeling like just a number. I would recommend this place for sure. read more

Management claims to have called me many times to warn me that my car was getting towed but I checked my call logs dating back to the beginning of this year and they didnt call me a single time even though the envelope with my new hang tag claims they called me Feb 7th. Also they sent out an email about it from a random email address that has never contacted me so it went to my spam. They usually send all their emails from the same address except this one time and they also towed me the same day they sent this email. On top of that while I was in the managers office she reads aloud to me the dates she claimed to have called me and emailed me but i didn't have any emails from them on these dates only the 1 email the day my car got towed. I go to get my car and the towing company says they gave them steaks to put in the ground warning people about this but they failed to actually put them out. The manager told me I was one of more than 15 cars that got towed that night so obviously she is not doing her job which is to get the word out about this. They then proceeded to say that they put a note on my door so I ask my roommate and neither of us had seen a note on our door or anyone else's. The manager then goes on to tell me she put signs on the common areas such as the gym or the in complex laundry mat. I go to the gym very often and have never seen this sign and my unit has a washer and dryer so why would I go to the laundry mat. So my car got towed even though it had a hang tag because it was "outdated" and their response is simply to say sorry. This wouldn't be as bad if u didnt catch the manager of the complex deliberately lying to me face to face about sending me notices, emails, and calling my cellphone (which they did not do) overall terrible experiences here wouldnt recomend to anyone especially accounting for their overpriced rent. read more

I'm giving it four stars only because I've only been living here for like 3 days (inserts lil uzi meme) but I love this place. I was hesitant at first because when I was apartment hunting online they did not have any updated photos, however all of their units are currently remodeled! And they are still renovating the complex as a whole. The unites have stainless Steele appliances, laminate woods floors, granite counter tops, nice big windows, and a nice open floor plan.They have two pools, two laundry facilities, and a gym. They will soon be in the process of expanding their gym as well. The leasing office team is so friendly and quick! I toured on Monday and signed my lease by Wednesday. I love it so much compared to the last place I was renting. This is literally my dream apartment. Also the demographic is a mix of adult college kids and families so over all the complex is very quiet. So far so good :) read more
