I needed an oil change and called a few places. I decided to go to Grease Monkey. I brought my own filter and oil, which knocked off about $20 of the price. The wait wasn't bad at all, I was there for about an hour. There are 2 car ports, so 2 cars getting worked on at a time. There is a coffee machine in the office. I had a female mechanic who was knowledgable and friendly. The mechanic gave me a breakdown of my car, checking things besides the oil. The mechanic recommended various treatments, based on importance. The recommendations were based on pH levels of different fluids. I decided to do a brake flush and 3step fuel system cleaning, additional to oil change. The mechanic informed me that my air intake hose was cracked. She recommended Intake Sales and Services to replace my intake hose. The total was $260, with a $15 off coupon. I'd come back to Grease Monkey, friendly and knowledgable staff. read more

Gave me the most expensive oil even tho it wasn't needed without asking me first and I had to pay $150 in the end and told me it would be $300 just to recharge my AC. i don't know much about cars but I've NEVER paid that much getting an oil change for this car and everyone I've talked to says thats way too much regardless. Extremely overpriced $150.00 Service is poor didn't even bother to wash windows or vacuum. I can't prove it but it is my belief they did not do any of the other service checks they checked off. One employee was misstating the benefits of synthetic vs conventional oil . Employees vehicle in parked front of main door and weeds 2ft high. Will never return. read more

Excellent service recieved! So I went in for an oil change last week. Went through what all I wanted done, that was great. They pulled my car in and went to work. The tech came in a few minutes later and told me that whomever had changed the oil the time before (Toyota dealer in Lewiston) had really overtighted the filter cannister and he wasn't sure he was going to be able to get it off without breaking it. I asked him if he'd pulled the drain plug yet, and he had not. We then agreed that it would be best for me to take it back to the Toyota dealer and have them deal with it, which I did (and they replaced parts) and they found that it had been very overtightened. I tried to offer the Grease Monkey dude something for his time, professionalism (for knowing not to put too much torque on the thing and break it), and honesty, and he said he didn't want anything other than a positive online review. If I could give a zero I would. Went for an oil change a few days ago. We arrived at 4:30 pm there was one car in a bay being worked on. We were greeted and told it would be 45 minutes before we could get our oil change done. Then we were told that the gentleman talking to us he was sending his team home at 5 and it would be only him there. He told us we should come back tomorrow. We really needed our oil change done because we were overdue. We left drove into Spokane and went to a competitor. Afterwards we drove back out to Airway Heights to our favorite restaurant Ginger Teriyaki and Thai for dinner. We arrived at there at 5:40. Right across the street is Grease Monkey and to our surprise they were closed even though hours of operation say open until 6. We have been coming to this location for years but on this occasion left feeling blown off. I guess our future oil changes will be somewhere else. read more

This is close to my place but learned the hard way that they don't do things right. They put red grease around the filter cup of my 4 runner. The grease dried from the heat of the engine and caused it not come off. The next place that changed the oil had to use a 3foot breaker bar to get it off which broke the filter cup! Once the cup was off they found red grease inside the filter cup as well! This could have got up inside my engine and cause catastrophic damage! I will never use this company again! This type of thing is unacceptable! read more

I went for an oil change and 10 minutes later I came with a broken car!!! Wtf?? My power steering pump did not work after I came from that shop!! That's is just too much coincidence!! I drove a few blocks them I have to stop because of the noise and my power steering fluid was coming out all over the place. I drove back to talk to them just to be told that they have nothing to do with that and that I need to replace my pump. No fucking way genius! This fucking place sucks and I am 100% sure that some how they messed up my power steering pump. It can just broke without any symptoms or anything. Worse service and place ever! read more

Then when it is obvious that the damage was their fault, you'll be lucky to get reimbursed for the part, but you will NOT be repaid for: towning, labor, time off due to no transportation or Lyft rides to and from work or to pick up your car from the shop. Went to grease monkey for an oil change and they put the wrong oil in and said it would be fine. Also apparently they didn't put my oil filter on all the way causing oil to go everywhere, including my air filter and the ground. My car now makes a knocking noise. At first when I pulled up to this place I expected the usual treatment I get from most quick stop shops, "what do you want" " this is the price" "It's done get out" but instead I was greeted with a crew of friendly individuals, ages ranging all happy and ready to help! This place is amazing and after I established I wanted an oil change they not only changed my oil but they checked my tire pressure, my air filet and various other things it caught me off guard thinking they were either trying to up sell me on another service or charging me extra but it turns out these are what they call "niceties" which is something I'm not accustomed to in other shops. Simply amazing! We started out by calling them to see if they could help us with our headlight. Right away they gave us several possibilities of what the problem could be but that they would be more willing to take a look themselves. We brought our car in and they took it right away and fixed our problem within 10 minutes. The whole time they were polite, courteous and straightforward with us. They forget to put drain plugs back into your car causing the engine to blow up. Half the time the manager Jon sells you things that you don't need and then doesn't do it correctly and he is extremely pushy about it. The manager is never there, he will show up for a couple hours a day and then will go home. When you have an issue the manager essentially tells you too bad and to not come back. The prices for an oil change are so inflated i would rather take my car to the dealership where at least i know it will get done correctly and if not the warranty is honored. I would never recommend anyone go to this company to have their car worked on. You will pay the price of 3 oil changes and the manager doesn't even know what he is doing or talking about if he's even there. With the amount the manager calls women honey, sweety, and babe I'm surprised he hasn't had a sexual harassment suit filed against him. While a quick oil change is nice 2 minutes isn't even long enough to put on a new oil filter correctly. Either do it yourself or go somewhere you know is going to actually treat you well cause this is not the place! read more

And whem i went to have a nother oil change i noticed they had put the wrong filter size on my car. No problems when it was jj lube but now its not to good . I arrived and their was two cars in from of me but my car was taken in quickly and was finished up in now time. i had my tires checked as well for air and where adjusted correctly for PSI level. Took my daughter's car in for an oil change, after the car had been pulled in to the service bay, a few moments later the technician came in & told me it didn't need an oil change for another 90 days. They checked all the other fluid levels, tire pressure, washed the windows, checked the brakes etc. at no charge. AND put a cut flower on the dashboard for me. I nearly cried at having such a good experience after having been taken so many times including recently finding out that not once but twice different repair shops charged me full parts & labor for power window repairs - that they did not do (they rigged existing mechanism to continue working without replacing).
