Fixed income retiree here. Make sure you ask the cost of trimming a mustache. Stylist asked if she could trim edges I had missed at home, I accepted without knowing extra cost since it wasn't trimming the full goatee. She did a 1/4" clip off each side that took 6 seconds and charged me $10!! Found this out after I left her a $10 tip - for an $18 cut. Total cost $38! Let it go in the spirit of Christmas. Absolutely cannot recommend Brittney enough !!!! Thank goodness I was able reconnected with her because stylists of this caliber are hard to find. I brought my son for a haircut today at Great Clips in East Ellijay, GA. I told the lady to not cut the front too short because we are going to a wedding soon. Then, she told me to sit down because of some stupid rule. I did. But I had a feeling she was going to do whatever she wanted to his hair, because I've had this problem before with this particular salon. That's exactly what she did. She cut the front of his hair almost two inches from his eyebrows. Such a B___ move. I'm sooooooo pissed. Before she cut it. I heard her say to my son "Do you want me to cut it shorter?" Even though she knew I said I don't want that. Who's the parent? Lady! Who's paying for this? Lady! Let me tell you something about my son. He's going to say "yes." to whatever you ask him because he's a kid. Do you like this haircut? Yes. Do you want me to cut it shorter "Yes." You should be asking the parent!!! I told her what I wanted, and she did whatever she wanted. I can not stand my son's haircut. I would've rather have taken him to the wedding with long hair in his eyes than this haircut. That's how much I dislike this haircut. Plus, my husband got his haircut at the same time. He said the lady who cut his hair smelled like smoke and every time she lifted his hands to cut his hair he had to smell the smoke that was on her like she had just finished smoking a cigarette. I would not go to this Great Clips to get a haircut if I were you. You are taking a chance of getting a terrible haircut. read more

Husband checked in online at 3:50, the lady at the counter said he wasn't supposed to be able to check in that close to closing. The stylist that cut his hair was very nice but he was made to pre pay for his cut by the lady at the counter. The older lady at the front told the stylist cutting his hair to lock the door behind him. Just rude! read more

Worst hair cut I've had in 42 years of life. I've lived in places where I didn't speak the language and couldn't communicate with the hairdresser and those hair cuts were SIGNIFICANTLY better than this. I first tried the Great Clips in Blue Ridge and walked out because, based on the questions the girl (who was maybe 18 at oldest) was asking me, she'd clearly never cut hair in her life. Due to Covid I've had trouble finding an open salon, so I took a deep breath and tried the Ellijay Great Clips instead. The here woman seemed better, so I trusted. Except that the one thing she wanted to do, that I VERY CLEARLY specified was a BIG NO for me, is the primary thing she DID. I'm basically sporting a mullet now. I'll be wearing my hair in a bun (and only a bun) for at least 3 months. DO NOT RISK THIS PLACE. You're probably better off cutting your hair on your own it's that bad. read more

Worst haircut I have ever had in my entire life. Absolutely hacked my hair & did NOT style it at all like I asked and PAID FOR. I told the guy what I wanted and my hair looked NOTHING like what I asked for. When I said that it looked entirely too short in the back and nothing like what I asked for he replied with "well, it's even." It was NOT even at all in the back and huge chunks taken out of the side of my hair. Do not recommend & am very upset with the fact that I was over charged and not taken seriously when I did express being upset about the way my hair looked. I had a procedure which required buzzing the back of my head. I still looked the same coming but looked a little naked going. My regular lady was taking January off so as soon as I was able to get up and about I had to find someone who could help fix me. Luckily I went To GC/Ellijay and met Amy. What a lucky find! She did an unbelievable job blending the two hair lengths. Yes she had to cut a lot off but nothing like what buzzing the rest of my head to match the back would have looked like. I had made a appointment on line. I was suppose to get a $6.99 haircut. First of all ,They would not except it I had to pay full price. Second the lady has ruined my hair . I had the pleasure of having Anna as my stylist and I walked out of there with the best haircut I've had in years. The place is clean, staff is very friendly and prices are great.
