This agency is uncaring and lacks compassion. They are not willing to work with my family. They do not follow up. We have left several voice messages, with no return calls. When we were able to speak with someone,(Julie) she was rude and hung up. At one point they sent the Wayne Co. Sherrif to our daughter's home, she was taken to the hospital without any prior notice. We were not notified. She was not allowed to pack a bag. This was done on a weekend, knowing that the office would be closed. Their after hours voicemail box was full. No one could reach the office until the next business day. Keep in mind the hospital cannot provide any treatment until they speak with the Guardian. I would not trust this agency to watch my dog. If they had a license, it should be revoked. read more

This place has TERRIBLE customer, full of excuses on why they can't contact their client's. My 80 year old neighbor has been reaching out to them for over a month still no service. I've reached out to them to contact her for service as well as other neighbors. They spoke to me rudely for them to do their JOB. This place is completely awful. read more

zero stars in my opinion. Monica has done nothing for my loved one at all. I have called her several times and she hasn't responded back to me. I have spoken to her secretary a couple times but never Monica and she hasn't followed through with the court order. I don't recommend her services to anyone!!! read more

They are the worse guardian company I've ever dealt with they don't return calls and they are not considered with the wellbeing of their wards or their care! They are not concerned with them receiving the funds allocated for them in the group homes that whey select for them!! Stay Away from this company!!! read more

do not use this company for services. she is actively stealing money from her clients. i am a current client who has experienced this. when confronted she becomes rude and arrogant. she doesn't answer calls or emails. and does what she wants with people's lives she's supposed to protect. absolutely horrible! read more

this is monica's same day a review was posted response. nov 7, 2024 hello lisa, i'm sorry you are experiencing these feelings and opinions of our agency. we at great lakes strive to keep our clients alive and thriving. with that being said as the guardian we are responsible for medical, financial and placement decisions. when it comes to making a medical decision for your loved ones we always assess the situation before making the decision to move forward with any procedures, vaccines etc. i once again am sorry you are not happy with our agency and in that case we always encourage family to become guardian. we also offer the families the help with the process of becoming your loved ones guardian. i want to acknowledge your comment about profiting from our clients and that is far from the truth. we get a monthly fee of $83 dollars a month. we also work for free most of the time when we are temporary guardians and or full guardians because we have to wait to become the clients representative payee which can take anywhere from 60 to 90 days. if you would like to discuss this situation further please reach out to our office at 313-399-5358 or we have an email of greatlakesguardianservices@gmail thank you, monica hernandez owner of great lakes guardian services. anybody reading this, posting a review is the only way you can get a prompt response from monica hernandez she only care about her image to protect the interest of her company and pockets! facts: its funny how a family can call monica hernandez back to back to back in an emergency situation and temporary guardian monica hernandez authorizing permanant major life changing surgeries without, speaking to the family or visiting and hearing out the stable minded patient who speaking logically and coherant to question the decsions of doctors who doesnt know the patient in depth medical history and without a second opinion. monica deliberately ignore all calls and emails and only answer for the hospital staff, denying the patients family rights to visits unjustified and without merit to control the situation to fit the hospital and monica's narrative for a money grab!! without contacting the family for clarification and to hear the family's concerns just to omit family from visits. for starts i tried desperately to reach out to monica multiples times via phone calls, text, and email with no response , she only answered hospital staff, i witnessed with my own eyes. monica do not consult with family members what so ever!!!!!!, you never denied failing to appear for our scheduled zoom meeting. you initially avoided the meet up with claims of tech support issues and never reached back out to rescheduled meeting to get a history of the patient health history and meet the family. you are not sorry you are only writing that to save face and retain potential clients. your actions does not reflect remorse , that is clear and unequivocal manipulation. you never offered to help anybody but yourself to stay in business if anything you dodge the interested invovled family. if you really are only receiving $83 month that explains why you never ever make special trips to the hospital to physically speak and see the patient and meet the doctors performing life changing decisions. that explains why you dont show interest because you have to be paid enough in order to show up. nobody is in business to work for free if that be the case we all would be volunteers. and whos to say you dont receive retro pay a lump sum. your adding insult to injury with this frivoulous claims to offer to call and email you have no intentions on responding. when i and everyone else who wrote a review on you know you dont respondat all. all these claims is not just here you have a history and pattern of failing to do your due dilligence by returning calls and seeing after the patients well being, i read someone said you dont care about the family in ward. that actually is an understatement. i couldnt get you to answer for nothing when my family was begging for a second opinion before life changing surgery , only after i left review you responded same day. nothing you can say will make me and others believe otherwise, your actions speak louder than your typed words. read more

I have Monica as my guardian. She has been nothing but kind, supportive, understanding and helpful. when she says she'll do something for you she gets it done. She's very good at responding back to calls and texts. I appreciate what she has done for me. she stands up for me when I need it as well. and doesn't keep me from my family like my last guardian. 100/10 read more
