Very happy about my experience with Paul. I've read other reviews that talk negatively and I can speak to that but I will tell you that I was pleased with every aspect of my experience. We were getting our house ready to list for sale and only a few days before our listing went active, our dog decided to chew a hole in our solid hardwood floor. Paul called me within 10 minutes of my request for an estimate. He took the time to listen to my concerns l, especially about the compressed timeline and our desperation to get the job done quickly. We had no luck identifying the type of wood we needed to get to replace the damaged board. We didn't even know what species or whether it was engineered or solid. We did our best to locate something that was remotely similar and could not. Paul still showed up and took a few minutes to assess the situation and make a plan. He creatively suggested that we repurpose two boards that were being used as a transition into a carpeted closet. The effect was minimal. We needed only to replace a small section of carpet that he had to pull up to access the boards he needed to remove and find a transition piece to replace the hardwood planks he removed. The work was done quickly and efficiently. The best part about this whole experience was his responsiveness, creative thinking to solve a problem, and do all of the necessary work required to get our house ready to show. 36 hours from the first time I saw the damage to it being completely repaired and ready to go. Granted this is a small job but when you absolutely, positively need it done right and need it done NOW, I have two words for you: Call Paul. His pricing was more than fair. Having the opportunity to gouge us given our desperate circumstances, Paul did right by us. I threw in a little extra when I wrote the check to settle the bill. Do not hire this business. There are 2 outstanding tax liens out of 9 lawsuits and you be will overcharged in order to pay the 2 outstanding tax liens and give you a guilt trip if any extra works evolves and expects payment then and there and works about 4 hours a day and has excuse after excuse for taking so long. i was charged $7,340 for an initial $2,800 bid which was to include everything. Paul Pasko up to the last minute still tried to charge even more for $750 when I said no then tried to charge me $400 for moving furniture. I have had it with this company. If you are looking for frustration, Paul can supply lots of it. Hired his company in August 22 to do 3 small rooms. The first two rooms took over 2 months and I am still (12/14/22) trying to get him to finish the job. Too many "family emergencies", oh "we will get it done next week", and still no progress. Paul and his associate provided and installed engineered hard wood flooring in all areas of our 1,700 sq. ft. home with the exception of the kitchen and breakfast area. They installed tile in those areas. The project scope included the removal and disposal of all of the existing flooring and tile. The work was done very professionally and was high in care and quality. In comparing Greater Floor Surfaces with other quotations we received at the time, Paul was very competitively priced. Please use another contractor and do your research, he's had several suits and complaints filed based on contractor info with state of WA. I am still scratching my head on how this company/individual has any rating above 0 or 1. The current profile is extremely misleading and I will hate for another family or customer to go through the extremely painful and costly experience we are trying to recover from as a result of this company's incompetence and lack of respect and prioritization for our home remodeling project. I am not sure where to start because everything went wrong and we literally had to let this contractor go, after 4.5 weeks. Wish I had listened to my husband and done it sooner. He gets 1 star for his minimal effort plus there is no way to give zero stars to this company. PLEASE avoid at all costs. Our project was de-prioritized by Paul for all sorts of reasons best known to him. He blamed all delays and even lack of communication from him, on materials being delayed. Yes our materials was 4-5 days delayed but definitely not the over 4 weeks it's taken him to NOT finish our flooring. After almost 4 weeks of waiting he then tells us the subfloors needed to be leveled, delaying the project by another week. After 4.5 weeks we we needed to move and we don't have floors done, can't have carpets fully installed, can't move and can't complete all sorts of minor projects that is best done after the flooring is complete. We ended up pretty much working everything else around this guy. He didn't treat our home with respect at all and I am waiting for him to continue to demand more money for work done, because I am ready to battle things out at a small claims court like my lawyer advised. We paid Paul Pasko over $6000 in December 2020 for materials to install flooring in our home. After 3 months of waiting, we asked for our money back after contacting the manufacturer of the flooring we ordered. They had no order for our flooring. We still do not have our money back. We are filing a lawsuit to get our money back. In hindsight, we should have paid by credit card or made the check out to the flooring supplier. read more

I actually had a really good experience with this company. Their price was really competitive, they have done a really great job, installing hardwood floor on the stairs. They also installed tiles at the entry way, which was really challenging, due to e small space. At the end everything looks really good. We used Greater Floor Surfaces to lay laminate down in our living and dining rooms and our office. We couldn't be happier with the results. First, we built our house 11 years ago. The company that made our laminate have since went out of business. Paul at GFS was the only bidder who went the extra mile to track down an exact match of laminate. He then uncovered some poor quality workmanship from our builders and did repairs in prep for the install. He then laid the laminate and it looks wonderful.
