They actually stuck by their motto, "everything is negotiable." I'm not quite sure what's happened, but Bing Lee is no longer as competitive as it used to be. I went in last weekend to by a TV and when it came time to haggle, the guy serving me looked at me like I was a two-headed alien. I only managed to scrounge $100 off the price, and even then it didn't compete with Dick Smith or even Myer's prices. Maybe I was just unlucky enough to encounter a particularly desperate salesman, hungry to meet his quota, but Bing Lee should either change their motto, or stick to their word.

We purchased a fridge which stopped functioning within the 2 year warranty. The business owner claims it only had a one year warranty and refused to repair it. Regardless of whether or not it was in warranty we are still entitled to a repair or refund under Australian Consumer Law as less than 2 years for a fridge that we paid over $1000 for is not a reasonable lifespan. When we told him this he proceeded to start acting an infant by saying things such as "Can you speak English" "you should read more coz you're stupid" etc etc. Seriously you'd be better off chucking your money in the garbage than giving it to these arrogant fools.

They sell Vacuum cleaners, my ticket to fresh and speedy cleaning. From their extensive range of bag less and bagged vacuums to upright and barrel vacuums I found it quite puzzling initially. However, the sales assistant is exceptional at demonstrating the power of suction used by different vacuums. I will never forget how he poured sand all over the carpet and in one swift movement of the Hoover, vacuumed the entire sand into the barrel. He then proceeded to pour the sand out from the barrel to demonstrate the suction power. Just going over the sanded area once and it was clean! I quickly learn't that's it's not always the most popular brand that makes the best machines and that price shouldn't be the only factor in decision. When it comes to health and being allergic-free, a vacuum cleaner is well worth it. The sales staff sweetened the deal by offering a good discount and throwing in a steam mop free!

Herman talks you through the dozens of options at each stage of the process, including jacket and trouser style, lapel width, lining, buttons, etc. My first suit from Herman Bros came back in about six weeks and the fit was spot on first go. Herman's prices are incredible value when you consider an off the rack suit with alterations would have cost about the same. I'll be returning in a few months to fill out the remainder of my wardrobe and couldn't be more pleased.
