I can't believe it took me this long to try Greca! I am part Greek so I try to check out all the Grecian/Mediterranean cuisine in the area. I made a reservation for my birthday brunch and they were very accommodating. We were sat immediately and majority of us ordered drinks. The Greca mule I had was very refreshing. One of my friends ordered the winter margarita and it was also very good. We decided to skip appetizers (which I need to come back for) and just ordered our own entrees. I decided to order the steak and eggs and they hit the spot. Really enjoyed the breakfast potatoes! Of course we had to leave room for dessert. They had my favorite dessert on the menu (galaktoboureko) so that was a must try. The baklava also was delicious. Can't wait to go back!

This is one of those places that has it all. Wonderful Greek/Mediterian cuisine expertly prepared, plated, and served timely. I had beet salad with extra chicken skewers. Several of us shared dips, calamari, and spinach/rice. Everything was great and accompanied by the Greek red wine, second selection from the top.

I have come here twice and both times it has been a great experience. I came recently for lunch and it was good. I ordered the burger with fries. The burger was well cooked and I really enjoyed. The amount of food was great and event for a later meal. The fries were delicious and fresh. We also ordered the calamari and it was good crispy and tasty. I would definitely come back. The service was also great everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The space was also beautiful and had great lighting. I would definitely come back and recommend it to everyone for their events.

My partner and I got a pre-dinner drink at the bar. Nick was a light-hearted waiter. We had our first mocktail old fashioned here - quite good! Though my full-alcohol version was better, hehe. The water was great! Perfect on a hot day. (Ok, it's silly to mention - but true!) The space is light and airy. I like the garden wall. Menu was enticing. The spot wasn't very full this early weekend evening.

Definitely recommend this place. The staff is always very pleasant. The food is always delicious. I like to sit at the bar and see the different drinks that are made. I have stopped by for their social hour and they have a great selection for small plates, cocktails, wines by the glass, and bottled beer. I usually order the same entree Chicken Santorini and I always enjoy it.

Greca in White Plains is an absolute MUST-TRY for any Greek food lover! I went my Greek best friend and she loved it as well! I stumbled upon this gem via TikTok and I'm so glad I did. The decor and the crowd were on point - modern and chic. The place including the restroom were clean. And the best part? Free valet parking across the street at The Ritz! You just need to show them the parking validation from the restaurant you get after your meal and honestly we forgot to but the valet people gave us no hassle, no stress which made the dining experience even more blissful. The restaurant staff were super helpful and attentive, making sure our drinks were filled and our stomachs were happy. Now, let's get to the food... The braised short rib was TO DIE FOR. I'm talking fall-apart tender, juicy, and flavorful - I didn't even need a knife! It was like butter, folks. However, I wished I would've tasted more feta in my feta-infused mashed potatoes. It tasted like regular mashed potatoes to me without the sharpness of the feta. My best friend told me to try Mastika which is her island's native liquor and the lady who served it to us was so happy to. It's like the staff was so eager to show us their culture :) If you're in the area, DO NOT skip this spot.

A few of us went to have drinks and listen to the music. There was a DJ tonight along with a belly dancer. We never ate here before , but when the waiters went by with the food the preparation looked pretty good. We just had a few drinks and some dancing but definitely a really hype place to come Very sophisticated.

    Moussaka

This was by far the best authentic Greek food I've ever had. Disclosing that I have been to Greece a couple of times and have been to good Greek restaurants, but this one blew us away. We started with the zucchini chips and Taziki and the muscles, they were delicious, the muscles were stellar. For entrées, we had the moussaka and the Gyro, both were full of flavor, melt in your mouth, tender, just absolutely delicious. We were too full to venture into dessert. We will definitely be back!

First time coming here for a friends catch up dinner and it was very pricey for an alright meal. The appetizers were significantly better than the entrees but still overpriced and extremely small portions. Our service was great, as our waiter was attentive and checked on us constantly so no complaints there whatsoever. The spot itself is very well decorated inside and on the exterior. Biggest complaint is we were packed on top of each other and the tables were so close together. We ordered zucchini keftedes and feta cheese for appetizers. The zucchini was amazing but there were not enough portion wise to share with a party of more than two. The feta was alright and heavily sesame crusted all of my party enjoyed it. I ordered the Imam Baildi which was rather disappointing. The amount of eggplant was minimal less than half of a small eggplant. Drowned in more onions than eggplant. The lemon potatoes were the best part of the dish. The gyro platter my friends ordered looked and was better and seemed the best option on the entrees for its pricing and portion size.

This was our first visit to Greca and we dinned the lunch menu from Restaurant week. Our appetizers were Avgolemono soup and Spanakopita, Entrees, the Burger, Chicken and Fig Panini and a Beef Gyro. Dessert was the mini Baklava. My intent was to take pictures of all the food, we were so focused on enjoying the amazing food, I forgot. The service, atmosphere and food has made this a must return to explore the menu. I highly recommend Greca as a dinning destination.

THE MENU IS ON AN IPAD! Never seen that before. I was mind blown. The decor and building itself are stunning. Huge windows. Service was very good and the food was amazing! I got the brunch frittata and it was delicious and so filling. There was a wedding rehearsal dinner at a private room here the night before, I heard some complaints from the elders of the wedding party that it was too loud in the room.

I came here for their 3 course restaurant week dinner. The building is absolutely stunning. One wall has floor to ceiling windows overlayed with a wooden geometric design. It creates a beautiful setting. The restaurant has two floors and high ceilings but it also feels very intimate. It has a swanky NYC vibe. Apparently they have a live DJ on Thursdays but we left right before the set started. All of the staff were accommodating and attentive. The restaurant was very tech-forward with individual menus on digital touchscreen tablets. I hadn't seen that at a restaurant before. To drink, I had the Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em. Though it did have a spicy after taste and the smokiness of the mezcal came through, it tasted a bit watered down. I had a sip of the Kiss the Fig and loved the fruity, juicy flavor. My mom got Rose on a Perfect Manhattan mocktail and enjoyed it. For the Dry January crowd, they offer several other non-alcoholic cocktails. For my appetizer, I got the zucchini fritters. The portion size was very generous as it came with three large fritters on a bed of tzatziki and red pepper sauce. The fritters were tasty and paired well with the sauce but I would've preferred them to be a bit crispier. My mom and sister got the scallops and said they were cooked to perfection. For my main, I had the fusilli. I am not a huge fan of cooked goat cheese but the goat cheese in the sauce was actually very subtle. It was also topped with fresh goat cheese which made the dish rich and creamy. It arrived super hot and I enjoyed it. My mom's salmon arrived raw but they made her a new plate very quickly. We tried each of the three desserts. The Greek yogurt wasn't super special. The rose petal preserves were tasty but they were just drizzled on top and not infused into the yogurt so it tasted quite plain. The baklava was crunchy and very sweet so it actually paired well with the yogurt. The chocolate mousse was more like a truffle but it was rich and dense and served with blackberries. Loved the experience here and would definitely come back.

Sad to say, after being loyal customers, this place turned us off tonight permanently. I placed a large anniversary dinner order by phone, including tahdig ($12). During the call, I specifically asked if the rice came with tomato and onion and was told no it comes with the tahdig that I ordered. So yes it comes with the order. I was also asked whether I wanted the gheymeh on top or on the side of the tahdig. I chose on the side. When I got home, the order didn't match what was discussed: The tahdig wasn't traditional rice tahdig like me or my wife have had countless times. It was more like this brownish, sheet-like, crumble with a few flecks of rice on the crumble, but not crispy. Not Persian tahdig. The gheymeh was missing entirely, despite being discussed on the call. The tomato and onion that I was told were included were not there. The fesenjan had only a few pieces of chicken. The ghormeh sabzi was okay, but pretty underwhelming in flavor. I called politely to clarify about the missing tahdig (for next time) and was told someone would call me back. No one did. When I called again an hour later, the same person who took my original order responded in a dismissive and accusatory tone, unilaterally escalating her tone and voice immediately, almost angrily accusing me of daring to call, and told me that the tahdig does not come with gheymeh, and tomato and onion aren't included either. (This is the opposite of what I was told when ordering). She repeatedly interrupted me, talking over me, instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue. We've been coming here since moving from Southern California a few years ago, whenever we felt homesick and wanted some Persian food. The food has always been....OK....nothing like Persian restaurants in Toronto or Southern California, but we continued ordering out of nostalgia and lack of other options. However, this experience today, incorrect information, missing items, no follow-up, and then, the way the situation was handled was our final turn off. Disappointing, especially for what was meant to be a special occasion. We won't be returning, nor will our visiting Persian family or friends.

The ingredients were fresh and that dressing was lovely. It was a salad I actually enjoyed instead of regretting the entire time I glared at my coworkers who ordered real shit with envy. The hummus was also very creamy, authentic hummus with a slightly different taste than I am used to but head and shoulders above any store bought bullshit. Everyone else said good shit about their food. I tried one of GF's falafel from her platter and it was really good. My only complaint is for $24 or whatever it is, i would expect more than a few falafel balls and one side. Kinda a rip off. But everything tasted really, really good.

Anar is an Indian-Mediterranean restaurant close to the main Mamaroneck Ave strip and White Plains Hospital. The space used to be a straight-up Indian restaurant called India Cafe, but at the start of the pandemic last March they closed and never reopened (though they still operate a takeout spot a few doors down). Eventually after a refresh, Anar opened - though I suspect the owners are the same since the menu is similar to its predecessor. Anyway, I wasn't able to sit and eat but they offer takeout so I placed my order online and picked it up on my lunch break. The menu contains a number of Indian dishes as well as general Mediterranean fare. They have a dedicated lunch specials section, and the chicken shawarma roll on it looked good so I went with that. I also ordered the chili gobi, and one of my colleagues got the chicken pakora. The chicken shawarma was great, it was an ample size with a generous helping of chicken. The naan was great, and that white sauce really tied it all together. The chili gobi was tasty with just the right amount of spice - the cauliflower wasn't as crispy as I've had elsewhere, but the flavor was great. Service was good - my food was ready by the promised time, and was packaged neatly despite the risk of it getting messy with all the sauces and such. Overall, I had a great first experience at Anar. The food was tasty and they offer something not really seen elsewhere in White Plains - I'll be sure to return.
