I wish I remembered his name, he had a British accent and was extremely friendly; definitely added to this amazing experience. The oysters MELTED in our mouths, we ended up getting 2 dozen in total. We also got the puff pastry with smoked salmon+caviar. They were bite sized and tasted good, but didn't love the pastry. The price for the whole experience was definitely reasonable and I'll be back for it again soon. One small complaint is that the chairs for outdoor seating are not comfortable to me. So I reallly appreciated the chairs in the dining area, so I can enjoy the food, drinks, and scenery, all while being comfortable.

It felt like this winery was very focused on the commercial aspect of the wine business. Our server basically talked through all the wines at once at the very beginning of the tasting and quickly left that I quickly forgot most of what he said midway through. Our whole experience was done in about 30 minutes and we had 60 minutes left... which was left to sampling the other wines but without any personal touch. This is quite a subjective point of view, but I prefer an experience where I am sitting with staff and learning about the wine making process and winery. 5 stars for the wines and view, 3 for the experience!

My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. Today was considered a very busy day as there were 4 parties including us, lol. Gated private estate. 200 acres. Plenty of parking, especially since hosting only 3 guests at a time. After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing! Our waiter, Chris N, came across as rude and dismissive on several occasions. When I ordered the Farmstead Pinot Noir, he immediately responded, "You don't want that one. The other one is much better," rather than offering a recommendation in a more respectful and informative way. Later, when my friend placed her dinner order, he remarked, "Well, that's a lot of food," which made her feel uncomfortable and judged. Throughout the meal, he seemed rushed and gave the impression that he couldn't wait for his shift to end. While the food and atmosphere were wonderful, the service left us feeling unwelcome and detracted from what otherwise could have been a great dining experience.

The wine tastings were all delicious and added a lot to the visit. The only downside was unfortunately someone in our tour group. One woman made sure everyone knew she was a member and kept mentioning how she had already seen the castle too many times and was bored of it, saying she only came to bring her family for a birthday. It kind of disrupted the experience for the rest of us. When we got to the torture chamber she also started making some really inappropriate remarks, which was a bit uncomfortable for the group. Aside from that situation, we still had a great time and really enjoyed the tour and tastings. Wasn't blown away by any of the wines, but appreciated Mark very much who was very well-spoken and pleasant. He didn't rush us and was very accommodating as I had a wine novice with me visiting Napa for the first time. She enjoyed the semillion and took a bottle home with her. Inside that store, there are a few stations where you could drink their wines and possibly beverages from other vineyards or producers. You can buy a lot of wine related items and stuff to eat here as well. Aesthetic alone on this place is amazing. Just a really fun place to visit when you're in Napa Valley.

I can truly say, I've never been treated so well and like family at any other winery out here. The grounds are beautiful of lush greenery, fountains, vines and buildings. It's beautiful here. Sattui can fit the vibes of upscale and also casual. It's the best blend. I tried a few wonderful tastings and grabbed a glass of the Pinot Noir, it was hands down the best I've ever had. My daughter Chandra, her friend Chrissie, and I were celebrating an all-girls early birthday weekend (for both Chandra and me), and we couldn't have picked a better final stop. Clos du Val absolutely did not disappoint! Every wine was outstanding--from the crisp, refreshing Estate Sauvignon Blanc (the perfect summer pool wine!) to the delicious Malbec and elegant Yettalil. And of course, I couldn't resist taking home a magnum of the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon--simply exceptional. Not surprisingly, we left with a full case of wine and the happiest memories. We did the classic tasting, starting with a white and going into 3 (or 4) more reds. While the white was ok, the reds really did stand out, especially the Pinot Noir and the last one on the tasting ($200 a bottle). The reds really are the star there and we got a generous pour of each. The dip that came with our tasting was a nice labneh like dip with fresh bread and persimmon. Property is smaller but gorgeous outside and in (sleek but not too cold and bland) and the restrooms were nice as well. Would love to come back in the warmer months to enjoy the patio.
