No apology from them at all. The attitude while you dropped the ball on my order. she must have thought that i pay for the shit she want to give. i understand mistakes happens i also understand about corrections and room to grow. but when you add additional protein to my order that i specifically ask you NOT TO DO. thats a huge mistake. no pork. no chicken. no beef. shrimp only. yet you gave me a plate full of clucking chicken. i was just going to eat around it but it was more and more that became unbearable that i called to report. she told me that shell just give shrimp fried rice ignoring my report. the dish was not the problem. if it was shrimp only yet again. here she go giving me what she wants. cool i comply and return to the place burning more gas and time at s place that gives no military discount. here we go. i enter with the food in bag she open it and claim i are half. girl you're not serious. so your first observation was what i ate instead of your mistake. great. give me back my money. she proceeds to tell me no no they making the fried rice. no no. GIVE. ME. BACK. MY. MONEY. HOW TF YOURE GOING TO HAVE AN ATTITUDE ON THE PHONE. THEN IN PERSON. YOU'RE INSANE. NEXT THE GENTLEMAN WHO TOLD THEM NO NO PORK NO BEEF. IGNORED ME when I ASKED FOR HER NAME. i really gave this place a second try. but this place was really trying me.

The mix noodle was awesome! Big portion and lots of meats. It had chicken, beef and shrimp with a zesty taste. Noodles were on point.

The owner or manager could be a little nicer he seems upset all the time. The food was fairly tasty great portions. The ambiance in the restaurant was calm when we came which allowed us to have a nice quiet dinner.

This location is a little out-of-the-way from my normal routine, but I've had a reason to be over in this neighborhood a few times lately. I thought I would stop in for a Saturday afternoon lunch. I was the only customer in the dining room. I would imagine they probably get busier later in the day. The owner and staff are very friendly. The portions were huge. And I ended up taking home half of my Shrimp Egg Fu Young. I didn't eat breakfast, I guess I was craving Chinese brunch. I've never had egg foo young prepared this way. Basically, the approach was plain egg patties, with a vegetable and shrimp gravy poured on top. As opposed to having the vegetables and meat in the patties. The cup of hot and sour soup was actually a fairly sizable bowl. This is basic Chinese restaurant fare. If there is a Sysco-style Asian restaurant food distributor, then this food tasted like it came off their inventory. Not bad just nothing special or interesting. I would not go out of my way to eat here again. And there are other Chinese restaurants close to my own home that are better.

Good good. We usually order to go. This last time we ordered, all I wanted was soup so I ordered the hot and sour soup... that was a mistake for me, it was BEYOND salty for me and I was unable to eat it after one spoonful. I would not recommend that soup. Besides that we have ordered beef and broccoli and pepper steak with fried rice and those have been good and tasty.

You people are so money hungry lmfao and rude to my family who still give you business. Well don't be surprised if I call the health department on the restaurant because let's be honest I don't think it's healthy that it smells like mold in that building and the way you have the windows covered with tables isn't safe at all in case of a fire .

Owner is hilarious..."What type of rice do you want?"...Me:"Ummmmm not sure, doesn't matter"...Owner:"Well black people usually get the fried rice!"....LOL I can't even be mad at him. Needless to say, I got the fried rice lol with Empress Chicken and an egg roll. Food came out really quick and was fresh. I can see myself returning....

I just moved to Houston and was craving Chinese food, I found this place right up the street from me. Ordered on GrubHub, they deliver their own foodcame very quickly and the rice was so good and flavorful.

The mapo tofu is one of the best we've had outside of Bellaire with spicy, savory, numbing, and warmth that you expect from a good mapo tofu. Crispy popcorn chicken is a classic that's spicy, lightly fried, and crisp. It has an authenticity that other places around can't replicate and makes you keep craving more. The portions are also appropriate for their price. Service is incredibly quick, and you can order as you go and receive your dish within 10-15 minutes, regardless of how busy they are. As for the ambiance, it's loud, it's hectic, and it's simple... maybe a stretch, but makes me feel like I'm eating at a mom and pop shop in the heart of China. This place is definitely a go to if I'm convincing a friend of Houston's great food scene! Rating: 4.5/5

The takeout team member was pleasant enough. They feature an open kitchen with two tops closer to the wall/glass and larger tables more toward the middle of the restaurant. Dishes like Szechuan Spicy Chicken is still one of my favorite, and Garlic Snow Pea Leaves are delicious when in season. Bamboo House still holds its place as great spot for group dining. The portion is generous, prices are fair, and overall a solid restaurant that's still worth recommending.

My friend Aurora wanted to meet Donna early dinner and gossip session and she really liked this place. (We tried having a team lunch at the Rice Village location during the cold front last Oct but they had no heat so we opted for a warmer place but she grabbed a to go on the way home) Here we are for a late lunch 3:45 pm on a Friday. Parking was none had to drive around the block and saw some movement and bam, someone was leaving. We ordered at the bar, staff was super nice and opted to sit outside. Did not realize they deliver to the table. Order: Mongolian beef combo with fried rice and egg roll $14.99 The food comes in takeaway style containers. Win. Mongolian beef (2.5/5) - slightly over sauced for me; beef was pretty tender and there were carrots and edamame which is not the standard so maybe that's what makes it fusion? Fried rice (3/5) - standard style fried with small pieces of bean sprouts which I love so that was a nice surprise Egg roll (3/5) - I assume it was chicken because I didn't realize there was a choice) - it was crunchy and soft on the inside which I like, and pairs well with sriracha (did not eat till I got home) They seem to do a whole lot of take away. The staff were nice and hard working. I was excited when they first opened bc they had chow fun on the menu and being HK Cantonese, I love that dish but when I ordered it the 1st and 2nd time eight years ago instead of bean sprouts they had cabbage and that alters rhe flavor tremendously. I see why it's popular among the people but just don't think it is for my taste.

She immediately asked what we wanted in a rude tone, which set an uncomfortable atmosphere from the start. There was a sign on the table advertising a "free appetizer" if you take a photo and tag the restaurant on social media. I followed the instructions exactly as stated, but when I mentioned it, the server initially refused to honor the promotion. After I pointed out the sign, she appeared upset and walked away. I saw she went to speak to another employee and cracked a smiled and looked over. She later returned and offered a small discount instead. The issue wasn't about the money or the discount, it was the principle. The promotion was clearly advertised, and I simply followed the restaurant's own policy. It was disappointing to feel like the restaurant was reluctant to honor something they were actively promoting. I hope management addresses this because customer service and consistency with advertised promotions make a big difference in the overall dining experience.
