Really great all-vegan restaurant, with creative, eclectic dishes, a semi-upscale dining environment, very friendly staff (with low-level broken English), an English menu, and reasonable prices for the quality and portions.
We stopped in for dinner and sat on their comfortable outside, covered patio. We got:
-Kale salad to start -- this was really nice, coming out with kale, red cabbage, pumpkin seeds, oranges, an almond cheese, with a semi-sweet dressing. Really creative kale salad. 5/5
-Pumpkin squash ravioli -- this was definitely the better of the two mains we got, with wonderfully cooked ravioli, stuffed with creamy squash, and garnished with arugula, vegan cured meat, and vegan cheese. Damn nice. 5/5
-Risotto with grilled tofu -- the risotto was on the watery side, but nicely flavoured; the tofu on top wasn't particularly flavourful, more on the delicate side -- it went OK with the risotto. This one was less interesting. 3.5/5
The total bill was about $R 225, which was reasonable for what we got. Service was exceptional and tried hard to communicate with us in broken English. Very kind staff.
