This is one of my favorite local parks to visit. Plenty of well-maintained trails to hike and kayaking on the reservoir. Excellent playgrounds for all ages, including one that is currently under construction to be available to children of all abilities! The summer music concerts are always a blast - bringing in people from all over, food truck, and showcasing local bands. There's always plenty of wildlife to observe; I enjoy looking for turtles on the water as I walk across the bridge. read more

We love going here for anything. Rangers and staff are always friendly and helpful. Gave me great fishing tips. Caught a massive catfish a few years back. Love the haunted hayride, even if it is insanely packed. Nice concert venue. Nature programs are nice too. read more

For openers , I swim freely in lakes and the ocean. I love walking in the woods and I'm no stranger to nature. Yuck I went kayaking here once. The water was disgusting and so dark and ominous. Even in the shallow part you couldn't see the bottom. Creepy. What lurks beneath? The water looks and smells filthy. Kayaks can tip and fall. I would be so concerned about getting an illness in this stomach churning water and to even touch it, to me, would be terrifying. I was concerned about this water splashing on my skin too and cleaning my kayak after this. Not a pleasant experience. Even when I drive by the green lane area on route 29 it smells like sewage. Such a turn off. No more. read more

This park is a wonderful gem in our community. We go often and they have running trails, a playground, lots of water, etc. The whole area is family and dog friendly and in the summer they have different festivals too! It's really a nice place to go. read more

3400 acres and 870 acres of water! That's right; there are three beautiful lakes in addition to everything else available in one of Montgomery County's best parks. You can fish, boat (including boat rentals), camp, and picnic. There are 25 miles of trails for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking. There are also two children's playgrounds. This wonderful park also offers summer concerts and movies on weekends. On a beautiful day it doesn't get much better than this! read more

I have alot of memories of Green Lane Park growing up. Whether it was the Scottish Irish Festival and Highland Games (which was unfortunately canceled in 2010) or my Boy Scouts Jamboree which was hosted here in 2009 or simply walking around the park on a nice day, its always a fun trip. The park itself is large and very open with plenty of space. There is many hiking trails, lake side trails and wooded trails. Perfect for walking, running, hiking or biking! Kayak and boat rentals are also available for the decent sized lake (which also has the notorious long bridge crossing the lake too)!! There are areas for picnics and fishing too. Plenty of parking for the park is available too! Green Lane Park is an awesome park, one of the best in the area. Its beautiful, scenic, and worth a visit!! read more

A driver license and 1 minute form and your off. They offer boats, kayaks, stand up paddleboards. The lake is approximately 900 acres of water and super for fishing with a license, State Constable was go. Plenty of free parking and a great family value. Seasonal passes & single day to three day camps. Super service for 1st timers. Highly recommend weekday visit over weekend.... Great family spot . read more

Gorgeous scenery. I traipsed over here on a Sunday afternoon with my best friend. We sat on a bench and peered ahead at the water. The trees were swaying and the leaves were rustling. We took off our shoes. When we were walking back to the car, my friend said she felt she was "everywhere and nowhere" all at once. That, my friends, is called the meditative state, brought to you by nature itself. A magical little place. I dare say I love it. read more

Paddle board rental has always been a great experience here! Go early in the morning and beat the rush, though we've never seen it extremely crowded (of course holidays are an exception). The bathroom near the boat rental is also one of the cleanest ones I've experienced among the larger parks in the greater Philadelphia area. There are signs to exercise caution and limit to single occupancy and I didn't have any issue with anyone disrespecting that. Plenty of room around the lake to keep safe distance! There are no lockers or anything so just have a plan for things like phones or keys during your rental. read more

Found out about this park by accident. My fiance' and I were near Gilbertsville, having dinner at The Brick House, and decided to look on our GPS for attractions. Being a former Brownie and Girl Scout, I'm kind of a "nature girl" at heart, and thought it would be cool to see this park. It definitely was! This place is GORGEOUS! On the day we went, the weather was perfect! We drove with the top down and enjoyed a pleasant drive with the sun on our skin and the smell of fresh cut grass and flowers in the air. The drive there was an experience in itself! I'm afraid the pictures of this place really don't do it justice. This is a quiet, peaceful park, with plenty of pretty scenery to look at. Upon seeing the trails, we wished we had brought our bikes, but took a leisurely stroll around the park instead. It was such a relaxing place, and the perfect way to end our evening after a nice dinner. read more

We love Green Lane Park. When we were young we would come to the park for swimming. The swimming feature closed quite a few years ago. We camped at the campground when our children were young. Now my husband and I bring our grandchildren to play on the playground and run. We also hike the many trails. There are trails for every level. We have hiked most of the trails and really enjoy the scenery. There are several covered pavilions for picnics, we will be hosting our grandsons graduation party there! read more

Awful place for kayaks. Because the rent them they have a disgraceful BS rule about not dropping in your own kayaks until they've been in a 10 day quarantine (that I'm sure they charge for). Absolute BS and the last time we visit this place. Also no parking. Not recommended especially if you have your own kayaks. My first 1 star review! read more

Green Lane was the land of memories from my childhood and adolescence so of course I had to make a trip back now and see how it stacks up these days. The park is absolutely beautiful and has hiking, biking, horseback riding, camping, picnicking, a live entertainment venue, and boat rental options. You'll really step up your biking if you're a normal city rider and tackle some of those hills. The only downside is you can't swim in the water due to goose poop e-coli problems. Gross. And the water is stocked with trout which I find a bit gnarly, although I'm sure there's some logical reason. BUT, I wouldn't want to be fishing in that water. I love this place. It's such a great escape from the city. It's the best suburban day I've had in ages. read more

Honestly I cannot say enough good about this park it's a wonderful place to go kayaking at or canoeing they have wonderful trails for hiking and for biking they have two playgrounds one on each side of the park for the kids to play on they have a small 2 mile loop hike that any beginner or heavily pregnant woman or older person or a little kid can hike fairly easily . This is such a wonderful (and massive) Park. There are two sides, both with playgrounds and spots to fish, speedster by a bridge over a dam. There are countless trails to walk and bike. If you need a getaway, this is the best well kept park in the area. The visitors are usually mild and underwhelming. read more

Green Lane park itself is massive & picture perfect any season you visit. During summer they have boat rentals. You can rent A Paddleboat. (They've reduced it to only having one since they really aren't fun. You paddle your arse off to go 2ft.) They have boats with a motor ($25 for 1 hour) My husband and 3 kids rented one for the 1st time. It's super easy, a monkey could do it. It's electric, runs on a battery and only goes 5 miles an hour. They also have paddle boards too. You can NOT swim. That water is Philadelphia's water supply. The young guys that work at the boat rental -- I cannot express enough how helpful & kind. They are just wonderful people. read more

This an absolutely beautiful park, with the main feature being the large lake. Even on a busy Memorial Day weekend it was quiet. No motorized boats where we were, meant a ton of kayaks. Many beautifully maintained trails that are relatively flat and good for young families. Lots of picnic areas with grills, and playgrounds. Also seemed to be a big destination for horseback riding. A beautiful diamond in the rough. Tucked back behind some small little towns is a beautiful reservoir that winds all through forests. There are so many sections that are gorgeous areas for the public, picnic areas, a stage, fishing spots, tennis courts and tons of fun water activities. I typically go here to fish on a boat or play tennis (the courts are nothing special, but it is better than nothing). read more
