What a beautiful restaurant nestled in downtown Lithonia. The service is always excellent and I'm always greeted with a smile. I typically go for lunch and eat from their hot bar. They have a salmon option with rice and 2 sides and they also have a vegetarian option for $14.99. I opted for the salmon with green beans and chickpeas and some plantains. The salmon was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The chickpeas were delicious with a hint of coconut. The green beans were well seasoned with a good amount of garlic, they were cooked well and still had a little crunch to the bite. The rice and peas paired well with everything on my plate. I love stepping into this place as it feels like a green oasis. But please note that seating is limited and they only have a large community style table and a few outdoor seats as well.

I always try to do my part and support black owned businesses and Green Love Kitchen has been on my list for a while. I'm never really on that side of town but today I was and made it my business to stop in and give them a try. Vegan spicy tuna - chickpea, celery, scallions, cilantro, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, in a tomato basil wrap. The wrap was so good. Veggie plate with rice and peas, curry chick peas, cabbage medley, and vegan Mac n cheese. Everything was delicious the vegan Mac n cheese has a hint of coconut which I never knew I needed in my Mac n cheese. The owner was friendly, and courteous I will definitely be back.

I was passing by and saw this spot and pulled over to go inside and I'm glad I did because this was really a great discovery. There's some good vegan options they have along smoothies and wellness drinks. But besides that they do serve some pretty good Caribbean food that I can't wait to try next when I go again. I would have picked up a plate but I had caught them a little bit before they closed for the day. Just something more to look forward to when I return. The Vegan Tuna Wrap I had was delicious along with the smoothie and I wound up picking up the tonic drink to take back with me.

First time here and it was beautiful. The food was great and the service was amazing. I had the macaroni & some sweet potato fries which were pretty good! I'll definitely be back here when I'm on this side of town! Thankyou Keith and Chico for the great service!

FYI, they are only open til 7p now and when we arrived at 6p, the hot bar was completely cleared out and closed. The staff was very friendly and provided an excellent customer experience. We ate in-house, yet our food was served in to-go containers. I ordered the spicy vegan tuna wrap (A+), kale salad (A) and vegan caramel apple cake (A). The spicy vegan tuna wrap was awesome. I ordered the kale salad because I feared the wrap would not have enough greens, but surprisingly it did. The tuna salad is made from chickpeas and not soy, which is a huge positive. The wrap is filling and has a nice kick of heat. The kale salad was fresh and superb as well. Just the right amount of dressing and when I ate the leftovers the following day, it wasn't soggy. The salad has red onions, sun-dried tomatoes, and a vinaigrette dressing. The caramel apple cake which is not made in-house was purchased from the refrigerated section. The cake was moist, had a proportional amount of frosting and the perfect amount of sweetness. I did try my aunt's sweet potato fries and they were really good as well. Cooked fresh to order and sprinkled with some type of seasoning blend that resembled a sweet and savory Italian seasoning blend. I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely return as long as parking is not difficult. There is parallel parking on the street in this area.

Came up on this spot by accident and it was one of the best accidents I've made. I loved everything about this place...the quaintness, neosoul music and incense, the people and energy, and most of all the FOOD. Who knew vegan could be so good, well I did. I had the spicy tuna wrap and my friends had the black bean burger and sweet potato fries, all great!! We arrived around 11 so you could only order from the menu. At noon the hot bar comes out. I got the jerk mushrooms and rice and peas to go while my friends got the sweet potato casserole and collard greens. Once again, they didn't disappoint. I will definitely be making this one of my regular spots. Great place for small group meetings and just to vibe!! Support this business!

The area looked a bit rough but walking into the place, I felt welcomed. All of the food, besides one dish of fish, which is kept separate from the other dishes, is vegan! The gentleman that was at the register and I got into conversation and he was super cool to speak with. I got the plantains, green beans, mushrooms, and greens, plus rice. There wasn't room to sit at the time I went because there was a large group at the table, but that was fine. The food and service made up for it completely

I chose this place because my wife is on a vegan journey, plus this was a lunch date for after her Mother's Day gift. We arrived to be greeted by an enthusiastic young man. The interior was clean and not very many seated. We had not visited before, so he gave us a brief rundown of how to order and what was on the menu. We both ordered a veggie plate and decided to eat outside, since it was such a nice day. My wife did not like the jerk mushrooms with yellow rice, but she raves about the green beans and broccoli. She also didn't care for the plantains. I really liked the green beans and plantains. The rice with jerk mushrooms just didn't taste good to me. The sweet potatoes had too much nutmeg for me. I gave a star each for the service and half a star for what I liked and another half for my wife's food. We probably won't visit again, but that doesn't mean others won't like their food.

My son picked up an order from Green Love Kitchen this afternoon. He's been wanting to try this place for a long time since it's not far from the neighborhood & was supposed to be vegan. Unfortunately we will not be returning. Here is my review: The cashier tried to give my son the 2 veggie plates directly after he ordered even though he had to wait 30 minutes for the rest of the food. This makes no sense at all. The wait was entirely too long for the quality and presentation of the food. Veggie plate: there was very little to no seasoning on any of the vegetables. The veggies were all thrown together inside of the box not separated at all. Chipotle burger: lacked taste/flavor except that it was burnt so I guess it had a burnt taste/flavor. Regular fries: lacked seasoning, a lot were inedible because of the size and/or way they were cooked. Kale salad: kale was extremely chewy but my family said that the house dressing was actually really flavorful. Sweet potato fries: had potential but could have used some seasoning as well. Black bean burger: I really enjoyed this burger, had everything else been better I might have gone back just for this burger but as I said before, unfortunately this wasn't the case. read more

This place was amazing! A great place to get a healthy bite after going to Arabia Mountain. I was greeted right away, and the staff was really friendly. :) She even let me sample the jerk mushrooms- which were phenomenal. Walked over here because I was at Martins tire waiting for my car to be fixed and I was starving. Overall It was pretty good! I got the green love wrap and ask for it to be spicy so they added cayenne pepper. I wished there was more menus for you to look at while you're waiting to place an order. The only menu I was able to look at was taped to the counter and usually I like to know what to order before getting to the counter. The kale wrap was good, but it was missing something in my opinion. Couldn't figure out what though. Also wished the cashier was a little more attentive. She was busy texting in her phone to answer questions I had so someone that happened to pass by answered them. read more

I was skeptical about this place because the food is new to me. I was dieting and looking for healthy fast food (oxymoron, I know) so when I saw this on UberEats I gave it a try. I ordered the black bean burger and the sweet potato fries......and it was AMAZING!!! fries were cooked perfectly just needed a tad more salt and the burger did not have me missing meat. Hands down the best vegan restaurant around and in Atlanta!! The customer service was amazing and the Green burger and sweet potato fries were amazing. To top it all off I washed it down with homemade ginger pineapple juice, which was absolutely delightful! The owner has great energy and as someone that has been wanting to see a revitalization to the area, the Green Love Kitchen is a step in the right direction!! This is a hidden gem in the community. I also chanced upon a delightful bookstore next door to pick up some children's and vegan books. Last but not least, I ran into a local artist at the restaurant, whom will be opening the Lithonia Art Center. This place is filled with talented and interesting people. Good food brings good people together! So do yourself a favor and check out this small corner of Lithonia. This little area will one day become the Harlem of the South! I stopped in here because I wanted a good vegetarian burger. And that what I got. The sweet potato fries that I selected as a side were cooked just right. The food was a little pricey but the portion was ample and it tasted good. I would definitely go back. read more

Great food, I had the mushroom wrap. It was a little spicy but overall good flavor. I would suggest calling in your order around the lunch rush. They were jumping and I had to wait about 15 minutes which isn't truly bad but I know for next time. City of Lithonia needs more great eateries like this to put the city back on the map. read more

They all we got far as specialty health eating in Lithonia. Love the Tuna Wrap and Green Love Burger. Go there it's a must. Kale rocks and so does this place. Some days the have a hot bar too. The Ginger Lemonade is a constant. read more

I love Green Love Kitchen! I live in the city and drive to Lithonia once a week or so just to eat here. Please franchise and open multiple locations. This is a gem!! I'm vegetarian/vegan and I particularly appreciate that they don't use soy products. Just good old fashioned veggies! read more

I absolutely love their Kale wrap! It is always full of flavor, hearty and definitely filling. I also enjoy their fish sandwich and fries. The fries taste like I made them at home. I definitely suggest this restaurant. I like the flavor of their kale wrap more than Tassillis but both are delicious. I have never had an issue getting my food quickly when I call ahead and the employees are always very sweet! read more

So excited about having a healthy food option in my neighborhood. I stopped in on a Saturday and got a Veggie plate that consisted of yellow rice, mushrooms, cabbage and plantains with a side of vegan macaroni and cheese. It was delicious. I loved the mushrooms perfectly seasoned with a little kick. I mixed them with my rice. Cabbage was good and the plantains were perfect. Best restaurant in town, hands down! I've been here twice in the last 6 months or so & I was so impressed with the improvements & my repeat excellent experience today that I wanted to share the love. The regular menu is fairly limited, but still offers enough options that even the picky among us can leave happy. I haven't caught the hot bar hours yet, but since I live in the area I hope to be able to have the pleasure soon! Food comes out fast & hot (if applicable), & so delicious. Such an open, comfortable vibe with a decent amount of seating at the large tables. I can't wait until I'm in the area again & can try something else from their menu. Keep up the great work!! read more

I found this cute place while picking up a Uber order. The food smelled so good I went back and ordered me a meal. The customer service is awesome, the clerk mentioned that the phones were down and that I could call his personal number to order my meal after delivering my Uber Eats order. I ordered the Chipotle Black Bean Burger and Sweet Potato Fries!!!! I have no idea what they do to make the bread sooo soft and the burger sooo juice but it was absolutely amazing. I'll be coming back to try the Kale Thai Wrap that my passenger recommended. I'm sooo glad that I don't have to drive far since it's near my home!!! Just wish they were open a little later than 8pm on weekends and 3pm on weekdays. read more

Airy, relaxing, naturally lit spot at the end of Main Street in City of Lithonia. Food is flavorful and lightly seasoned with thought and care in mind. I had the vegan chicken salad. It was lovely. Will be back to try everything else! read more

I don't recall what my wife got but she was much happier with her meal. Our service was great. The interior is kind of bland-nothing special but nothing to turn you off either. I would come back especially since they have a lot of options for both of us. It would be nice though if they had more gluten free options besides tofu. Surely one of the proteins can be made without gluten flour. But, on the other hand, with such a large gluten free menu, I should just shut up and eat.

The energy and friendliness of the staff were truly delightful and made my experience more enjoyable. However, I must mention that I found some issues with the food itself. The plantains in my order were overcooked, resulting in a less-than-desirable texture. Unfortunately, this affected my overall enjoyment of the dish. Additionally, the salmon, which was supposed to be a coconut curry, had a hint of sweetness to it. As someone who doesn't prefer sweet flavors, this was a bit disappointing for me. On the positive side, the staff members were very accommodating during the takeout process. They ensured that my order was promptly prepared and packed with care. The restaurant maintained a clean and organized environment, which was reassuring in terms of food safety. While the food may not have been exceptional, the standout feature of Green Love Kitchen was definitely the friendly and attentive staff. Their positive energy and excellent customer service made the experience more memorable. Wow! I'm so disappointed! I'm really tired of supporting black businesses. Why are the staff always RUDE? No greeting when I walk in. No words when I'm ready to order. No communication. What do you have a cashier for? For all of this I can order on a screen!! The boy with the short dreads & bandana was so dry & rude! They are called "Green Love Cafe" but I didn't get any love! He waved my food at me when it was ready but came around the counter to hand a man his food. WTF!!! The food doesn't even taste like it was made with love. It was good but not good enough to make up For the attitude & horrible service. Waiting 30 minutes for a raw kale wrap & half portion of sweet potato fries. The place is advertised as vegetarian & vegan but they serve seafood. My wrap & fries were way SMALLER than the photos on yelp. They were out of regular fries. They show organic ketchup on yelp but had regular Heinz. I asked for organic ketchup they told me that the GMO Heinz Ketchup Packets were organic. Like hello! I'm a health food nutritionist. I went to this restaurant out of loyalty for the owners but feel in love all at the same time. The service was on point from the beginning from the restaurant servers. I ordered the Green Love vege burger with sweet potatoe fries, OH MY, what a delight. Cooked fresh when order to perfection just the way I liked without asking. My second time visiting--I was there years ago before they remodeled. This time I went after work on Friday, June 21. Ordered the hot bar--greens, jerk mushrooms, rice, sweet potatoes. So much food! I ate on it for 3 days. The service was friendly and the young lady who served me suggested I try the sweet potato pound cake; I'm so glad she did! It was amazing. She told me that I would be back for more and I most certainly will. Highly recommend for good, hot, healthy food with generous portions. read more

Again the atmosphere & vibe of the restaurant was very nice - they played good music and the food was delicious and healthy. They had many vegan options that I had never even heard of - but I chose the salmon because I love seafood. I believe that is the only meat that they serve.
