A few antiques but mostly new items made to look old. Pretty to look at but just too expensive :( A lot of the antique items I could find out in LA or Indy at the popular antique fairs and flea markets for cheaper (and those places are usually as high as it gets) Perhaps if they had a sale I'd stop back by to take a look again but otherwise it's not worth it to me. This place is fabulous. I furnished my entire retail store in Chicago with pieces from Greek Oak. The owner, Ann, and her staff took very good care of me. I was able to purchase several pieces of furniture and she held them there for me at no charge until I could come back to pick them up. When I returned with my U-haul, the staff loaded and secured my many pieces of furniture for the return trip to Chicago. In terms of selection and price, you'd be hard-pressed to find better. There is everything from garden pieces, armoires, tables and chairs to light fixtures, hooks, flower pots and hardware. read more

Do you visit Anthropologie just to stare at their store displays, and do you wonder where they find these old antique armoires, cabinets, shelves, tables, etc. Well, I think I found the antique store where inspiration meets dream come true. Green Oak Antiques is the place to find those wire, metal baskets, victorian hardware for drawers, doors and cabinet fronts, antique map, printing press and library card catalog cabinets, church inspired garden fences, stakes, windows and gates, and recycled/re-purposed furniture made from old ceiling tiles, balusters and corbels. You can either buy what they've built (quality and price of Ikea furniture) or true antiques (built to pass down to future generations and price to match), but they have something for everyone and everything is either very affordable or priced reasonably. I visited for the first time this weekend during their annual Spring Tea Party where they served lemonade, donuts and cookies. The staff and owners were very friendly, and there was a small army to help you lift and load. They put on a really great sale (20% off most everything) and have truckloads of garden decor shipped in especially for the occasion. I believe most of the garden structures are made in Mexico and are made of very light metal but prices are lower than the big box stores and definitely way cheaper than the nurseries for the same things. Green Oaks Antiques has a much bigger selection. They even have a smattering of plants and flowers for display which can be purchased. It's a great way to enjoy a summer day and dream of all the ways to use their items in your home and garden. read more

I was surprised at how much new inventory they have which has been distressed to look old. They have a lot of old stuff which is left outside. I didn't see anything that would make me want to come back. Beware the surly rooster who lives next door. read more

We dropped by on our way back to Indianapolis. It was filled to the brim with items, which is exciting to look through. There weren't prices on many things which is a pain. They also had some rather expensive items that were painted, so if you are interested in looking at items already restored, they do have that. This place is awesome! Been going there for years. Some of the homemade furniture is pricey but the quality and workmanship are well worth what you are looking for. They've added collectibles and small, with comparable prices. Their back room of many eclectic items is great too. The outside treasures are waiting for you to restore them back to life. So much to pick from. It's almost like a museum. We love browsing thru there, but we also love buying too. read more

We often drive past this place and stop by probably at least monthly. They have so many beautiful things! If you're into farmhouse or cottage ideas you must stop by! Many old and "made to look old" items that are beautifully made! Outside you'll find many great lawn ornaments. They usually have cookies and coffee available while you shop. My husband and I simply could not believe this place!! They have so many beautiful things at such incredibly low prices... I saw pieces there at 1/10th the price they would be at Salvage One or Architectural Artifacts in Chicago! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The only reason we didn't purchase much was because we were on bicycles and couldn't haul much... This place is certainly worth a visit. The next time we're in the area, we may just rent a U-Haul trailer and bring home as much as we can. read more

Worst most overpriced junky stuff I have ever seen called antique. Save yourself the trip.

This is the best place for finding the usual stuff and the very unusual, as well. The say I went was cold and snowy, but I kept coming back outside to look at all the things they have outdoors! Now I need to go back and do it in warm weather! I bought an old Victrola from their mark down room and made it into a printer stand. The victrola was only $40! read more
