We hired Taussig Landscape to install a porcelain tile pool patio. The poor workmanship also caused a burst indoor pipe. Taussig Landscape's insurance company acknowledged responsibility for the pipe damage and settled our claim. Initially, Taussig Landscape acknowledged the patio problems and made several patchwork attempts at repair. However, the problems were never resolved, and the company eventually stopped responding to our requests for a proper resolution. We ultimately had to file a small claims case. After hearing the evidence, the court found Taussig Landscape responsible for the patio problems and awarded us the maximum amount allowed by the court--an amount significantly less than the cost of repairing the patio. We would have preferred to resolve these issues directly with the company rather than through litigation. Based on our experience with the workmanship, the resulting damage, and the company's response to these problems, we strongly advise against hiring Taussig Landscape.
