One of my favorite vegan spots. My only thing is that alot of dishes have soy and that is something that I do my best to stay away from. I enjoy the ranchero made into a burrito with some fries. The cheese steak is delicious as well but again has soy so I've actually gotten it without the seitan and it's delicious unfortunately it doesn't decrease the price. I would say this place still makes top 3 on my list of spots to eat at. read more

I honestly don't understand what the hype is. I don't like their buffalo wings. They're garlicky and have a strange smokey flavor. I just wanted regular buffalo sauce. I asked for it, but they still came out in this weird sauce. I ordered the chicken po boy and the sandwich was so soggy I actually took it home to try to re-toast it. It had such a weird flavor. The frys were good, but soggy as well. The peanut thai chicken salad is good but I've definitely had better. Don't get me wrong - it's nice having a vegan burger joint but I'm just not a big fan. It's too expensive for the hype that it gets. The parking is awful. I wish they were open for sunday breakfast. That I would actually go back for! THIS is how you do vegan and gluten-free food RIGHT. Many options to choose from from the gluten-free menu. The employee who was helping me suggested some of her favorites, and when I said that I was in the mood for one of the sandwiches, she highly recommended the Original "G" Spicy Po-Boy with their gluten-free bun and suggested the sweet potato puffs as the side. I'm SO GLAD I went with those suggestions because holy moly, both the sandwich and the sweet potato puffs were absolutely delicious! The Po-Boy had gluten-free mock "chicken" that was very tender and not chewy, smothered in a delicious moderately spicy Buffalo sauce and a little bit of vegan mayonnaise. And then those sweet potato puffs! Think sweet potato tater tots but fluffier on the inside, and the outside had a nice, thin, crispy crust. A perfect combination of textures. Each one was like a little nugget of heaven in my mouth. I just wish my stay in Phoenix was longer so that I could have come back and tried one of their many other yummy-sounding gluten-free options, especially the other sandwiches on their menu! This is one of my favorite spots for vegan food. What I like about this place is the originality when compared to many other vegan restaurants I have been to. Their sandwiches and appetizers are amazing. My non- vegan friends loved it too. The restaurant has a very casual ambience and cuisine ranges a mix of American to Asian fusion. The best part is that they have some amazing soft serve ice creams and milkshakes. I notice that many visitors come here just for the desserts. My only recommendation - I wish they had smaller sizes for their sundaes and desserts, I never order them because they are so big for one person :( However, that's probably a good thing if you are only looking to get their desserts ;) read more

Came here before Covid and during Covid. First the in-person experience. Parking was pretty easy it's in a lot with a few other businesses but there still was plenty of parking. It's a casual place where you order and they bring it to you. The service was great and the food was also great. My boyfriend is vegan but does still crave a burger. As a nonvegan, the food was tasty enough that I also could enjoy the meal. The vegan oatmeal cream pies are to die for. Came back just for the oatmeal cream pies. They are baked fresh so they don't always have them. Always good to call ahead if you can. The only downside was there isn't a ton of seats and a busy place on the weekends. Nice place for some good casual meal. A little bit expensive but not outragous. Covid Experience Have done pick up once here since Covid. At the time they were not doing any person seating. This could have change but at the time it was pick up only. They have an efficient setup to just come up to the window to grab your food and go. Sadly, no oatmeal cream pie. Delicious and healthy, this little Vegan & Vegetarian restaurant is pretty tasty!! Prices are very reasonable and you get a good amount for what you pay. The atmosphere is also nice, it has bright colours and is very clean. It is a smaller restaurant, and during busier times you may have to wait for a table to open but it won't be for very long. Myself and some friends all each got something different and tried each others food. I had the Classic Burger with white onions added and a side of thyme fries. The burger was very good, a bit vinegary due to the pickles but that's okay. The fries were delicious, and the ketchup here is unique and tasty. One friend ate Green Hummus, and while the hummus and chips were good, the chips broke apart making it a bit hard to eat. Still was delicious. Another ate the Chicago Cheesesteak, and had no complaints! It was yummy, filling and had no hiccups. She also ordered chili fries, which were loved by all. And last but not least, another ordered the Secret Sammie ( pictured ). The food was delicious, though a bit messy. And last but not least we are all enjoying a tSoynami, and it is FANTASTIC. Oh so tasty, with excellent vegetarian and vegan dishes that can taste better than the original meaty versions. The no harm chicken parm was excellent, with perfectly crisp breaded seasoning, flavorful tomato sauce, vegan cheese that was a very close texture to mozzarella, on a soft fresh bun. I also tried some of the buffalo wings, which were tangy, spicy, with a nice texture similar to chicken. I was surprised to discover that the wings are actually made from mushroom, but that explains why it was so good (I love mushrooms). While I'm not exactly a vegetarian, I have friends that are vegetarian and vegan, and I do appreciate good food when I taste it, and will definitely go here again to try more dishes. P.S. LOVE this place to bits! The Buffalo wings are hands down the best vegan wings I've ever had in regards to both texture and flavor. Every time I'm in Phoenix I have to stop here at least once for a fix. All of the salads are good with my favorites being the Peanut Chicken and the Dagobah Jungle. The crab puffs are a bit greasy in my opinion and didn't have much in the way of flavor so I'd personally skip those. Same with the burger, it simply tasted like a grocery store bought Boca burger. If you have room, definitely get dessert! Their donuts, cookies, and etc are the bomb! Easily waaaayyyy better than their traditional counterparts. The Yankie Doodle cookie sandwich is my fave (two snickerdoodle cookies with frosting in-between). Being vegetarian, I thought, "they'll have something for me". I went in and that was all they have! I was in heaven! I got the Coconut Curry Tofu Bowl for two days in a row and found the other "GREEN" in Scottsdale. Their food is perfectly flavored and I love the hippie atmosphere. You could bring just about any carnivore here and I think they'd walk away happy. I know I did Was pretty disappointed with the Samosas though (pic). This was my first visit to this location, experienced the other shop a few months ago. I like the parking availability better more at this one, but the inside decor of the other location better. For lunch, I ordered the Big Wac on a GF bun. I was told the patties aren't completely GF. Since high doses of wheat are more a problem for me, I gave it a shot. Truth be told, it was the authentic flavor of a "Big *ac" from the other guys, but the texture was a bit off and the GF bun was SUPER HEAVY on my tummy :/ I ended up eating the second half of the burger with no bun. It came with fries (or I got it with fries, can't remember the menu layout) and they were scrumptious! The staff was super friendly and accommodating as I asked my customary handful of questions! I've tried this location now for the second time, and the workers seem to have attitudes and don't greet people coming in. They just stand there and stare at you until you speak up. When I went yesterday (10/6), whoever the male was working at the register at around 12:30 was extremely rude for no reason. He didn't greet me, he was talking to me like I was dumb and was not friendly at all. I continued to be nice despite his attitude but that encounter makes me never want to go back to that location. We stopped by here during our day in Phoenix, after an excellent time at the nearby botanical gardens. An unassuming strip mall store front led us to a quaint dining room and counter order space. We received great service and our food was ready quickly. I was extremely impressed by their chicken sandwich. It tasted the most like real chicken of anything I've had since becoming a vegetarian. It was a real treat. As others have said, it's a bit pricey, but we were so grateful for a purely vegetarian place to eat. Great stop for lunch or to meet with friends. I hate giving a bad review, especially because I am vegan. They get 1 star for having Nami.... everything else sucks!! I used to love Green, I've gone to the Phoenix location on 7th st more times than I can count! I moved to Mesa and started going to the Tempe one... and it's just awful! My favorite thing used to be the Ranchero... You'd expect the Ranchero to have a lot of, well... ranch... It doesn't. And when I asked for a side of ranch, they wanted to charge extra. Sorry, but a ranchero should be dripping with ranch... instead its so bland. I taste mostly lettuce and the tortilla. Another thing that I really wanted to like but is just SO bland and mediocre is their dip. That appetizer dip. It is just the base. It honestly tastes like someone started the dip and then left it, forgot to add any spices, and it boiled into a soggy thick mess. BLEH! I love dips and I've made tons of cheese dips and always get them when I can find vegan ones and this one is by far the worst dip I've ever had!! I've tried it 3 different times... because I'm a glutten for punishment! You want to know the trick? (I really hope the cooks at Green are reading this) I bring it home, I put it in a sauce pan with a little water to thin it out (it also needs cream if you have any or add some nutritional yeast), then generously add paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt. Let it boil for a while.. then you'll get an actual dip. It's not okay that I have to cook and fix the food I get from the restaurant, especially at such a high price! Honestly.. this is so sad. For the prices they are charging, I expect amazing food. I expect at least good food. And if it's bland? It better be healthy! Green is not healthy, unfortunately. You want bland? I'd try a healthy vegan place. At least that way you have a reason for eating bland food. I'm disappointed. I really wanted to like it. Their cooks have either lost their passion or need to learn to season their food correctly. And add ranch to the ranchero!!! read more

Update: Following recent visit(s) to Green I'll have to take back a couple of stars- unfortunately the prices have gone way up and the menu options, food quality, portion size and service have consistently gone WAY down. On our last visit the food arrived very cold and the service was lousy. If a mistake is made at least have the courtesy and awareness to apologise- some sort of acknowledgement or gesture of goodwill would have also been appreciated and gone some way to rectify the situation, rather than informing us that "the restaurant is closing" after belatedly bringing us re-heated food. We left feeling dissatisfied and definitely not valued as regular customers. Online comments about the new menu made to the owner (by us and others) inevitably receive a pretty bog standard reply about price hikes enabling improved wage benefits for the staff etc which is indeed a worthy cause but doesn't explain away everything. We returned to this restaurant again on May 29th 2021 to eat in and found further cuts to the menu both in variety and portion size; their 'healthier' stir fry/tofu & rice options have all gone and been replaced with fast food options; their entire menu. Alright I suppose if you're in a hurry but not really a place to chill anymore. The fries are dry, hard and look re-heated- they used to accompany a burger, now there's an extra charge of $3.00. That's one example of many I could mention. The Soynami's are still there but have also shrunk in size. Oh, the drinking water (cooler) needs a special mention, it's foul! Ultimately due to the constant trimming and cost-cutting ever since we first stepped in there about 9 years ago, there comes a point when complaining makes no difference and visiting this place is no longer a go-to place; more of a place to go if nowhere else is open, there's nothing in the 'fridge and you're pretty desperate. Now, it's just giving vegan restaurants/food a bad name. Shame. read more

This place is hit or miss. When the food is good, it's great! Vegan comfort food that doesn't hurt my stomach but still hits all the flavor notes I'm craving. The wings are so bomb. They make the best vegan ranch of any vegan restaurant I've tried. But...the quality is such a gamble now and has been since pre-COVID times. I've had burned food, sloppy food, missing modifications, wrong orders, extra sauce containers on the side that are barely half-full, poor attitudes from multiple staff on multiple occasions (like they don't even want to be working). One thing I've learned is not to order the "fresh" fruit as a side. Some of it is always spoiled. It can't be a coincidence when this has happened for 2+ years anytime I try to get fruit with my order. It's really disappointing. Where to even begin!? My absolute favorite vegan dinner restaurant in town! A few years ago when I was first started to come to this restaurant I took my family for my birthday. None of them are vegan, they were very skeptical about going to this restaurant because being vegan seems so radical to people who don't understand it. We got one of everything so everyone could try a little of everything. They left really impressed and wanting to come back! If that's not success I don't know what is. I come here regularly. Everything is amazing the food, service and location! I like this location best because it feels more like a conventional restaurant. Their other location is great just a lot less places to sit.
