This has been extremely stressful and costly, and I would strongly caution others to think twice before hiring this company.

Don't hire this firm to do your roofing. A few months ago, I had Mr. Fields inspect my roof for a…read moreprospective lender who I was going to use for a re-fi. Fields inspected the roof and charged me $150. He had also replaced some loose and worn shingles a couple of years ago. After he inspected, I sent his signed inspection document to my lender. I received a call from my lender a few days later stating that Mr. Field's license had been suspended, for various reasons, and they would not allow the results of the inspection for that reason I called Mr. Fields, but each time I called I was sent to voice mail. This went on for over a week and finally I just sent him a letter stating that I wanted a refund on my money. In the meantime, I hired a licensed roofer to do the inspection. After a few weeks I received a check from Fields for the full refund. I would strongly advise that anyone entering into a roofing agreement with Fields Roofing to check the credentials of Mr. Fields first. Go to the Calif. State Licensing Board and check to make sure that he has a current active license. This goes for any roofing contractor as well.
