In the end my surgery was canceled without my knowledge the night before the surgery date due to nonpayment, I was unaware that I could not provide payment at time of intake. I had to return to my personal doctor for a new referral. Long story short I am still walking around with a broken hand three weeks later. The pain is unreal but the Advanced Orthopedic center could not care less.

I was Doctor Reiss's 1st patient that day. When entering the pre-operative unit, my pre-op nurse was waiting and very welcoming and progressing through her part of my procedure. While in pre-op I was visited by my anesthesiologist, Doctor Reiss, a nurse anesthetist who explained what his part was going in my procedure and answering all questions. Upon arrival in the operating room, I was greeted by least 4 nurses. My nurse anesthetist was there again explaining what he was doing and lights out. The floor nurse was great. Then the PT and OP ladies helped in getting me cleared to go home. Couldn't ask for a better hospital or staff! Thanks to all; Sam

My surgeon was Dr Gebauer who was very professional from start to finish and did a fantastic job repairing my spine. He gave me all the information I needed to make my decisions concerning surgery and its alternatives. I had great care from all the nurses from surgical to room nurses. At the time, I had my reservations about going, based on other people's opinions on the matter of physical therapy. I met with Lovell and two interns. My knee jerk reaction was to resist the interns, knowing that they would be assigned to me and they lacked what Lovell had in knowledge and experience. I simply did not trust them. Surprisingly, I felt an immediate comfort and after the fact, realized that was an absolutely, ideal, office visit. I left knowing that I could trust the treatment I received and the instructions that I was given. To watch Lovell thoroughly model a patient visit while educationally engaging the interns at a level of professional and ideal 'bed side manner,' was the defining moment I realized that I was in very good hands. What started out as skepticism, turned into someone actually helping me to relieve the pain I had been in for months in less than a week's time. My results came quickly, but what I learned was to keep at the exercises daily because it will show positive results. I was fortunate that I strengthened my ankle in less than a week. Now, it's all about prevention. Obviously, I would highly recommend Fitness Quest. Damn, that was a good review and I meant every word!

Recently I had a recurrence of chronic shoulder pain, that originated decades ago due to…read moreimpingement syndrome. Over the past year I had gotten lax about regularly doing stretches and exercises, so the pain returned and was being stubborn despite stretching/exercising. So I needed to fine-tune my exercise routine. I reached out to Fitness Quest via their website to set up a consultation, but never got a response. I called the phone number for the Punta Gorda clinic and was informed that I'd first need to have my physician fax them a prescription for PT. I did so, and informed Fitness Quest (again via their website). Again no response, so I called the Punta Gorda clinic and asked if they'd received my fax. It turns out they did, but since I wasn't in their system they had discarded it. Fortunately it was still in their trash can, so they retrieved it and got me into their system and set up an appointment. The next day I had a very informative and productive consultation with Jason. I'd give them 5 stars if not for the initial communication difficulties, which might reflect some kind of disconnect between the "central office" and the various local clinics.
