The people there are welcoming. There are great hot lunches served after the 11am Mass on Sundays from September to June for a small fee of five dollars. The musicians are wonderful and so is the choir. The readers are some of the best I have heard in Edmonton. The priests have great homilies and a good sense of humour. I was lucky enough to have known Monsigneur Foran, Father Vic Perron, and Father D.G. MacDonald who later became Vicor General in Edmonton. I have many precious memories of the kindness and example those priests set. Father MacDonald was for a time also chaplain at the U of A hosputal where i worked. He was deeply loved and respected by all who knew him. St. Anthony of Padua is still very special to me. I used to pop in after work and pray in his corner. I live in Vancouver now but Stl Anthony will always be my Home Church.

However, I would not return until the current pastor leaves or hopefully, transfers soon elsewhere. Everyone is looked upon as either an $asset or a liability to him. It costs $ to run a prosperous parish but attempting to find out your net worth first and every time, the faithful would only be seen whom he thinks would donate to the church for payment of his time and space in return. This is NOT of Christ who treats everyone with compassion and mercy the same regardless of socioeconomic status and situations. A position in investment $banking, portfolio managing in Finance and entrepreneurship in an innovative business may better suit him. The music at the start is upbeat and very engaging, you can sing along without fear of your voice being judged as it's nice and loud all around. Once the service starts you will get a meaningful message filled with moments of laughter through jokes or stories. The delivery of the scripture is done so well that it relates to today's world and is easy to understand. I can't pick who is better between both father and son pastor, they are both so good at sharing God's word and keeping my attention. I am blessed to have found this church. They also have many different connect groups to attend throughout the week.

The singing is inspirational and moving; we use a lot of multimedia options in my church, we have our own coffee shop, our lead pastor teaches relevant material, every couple of months we have a mass baptism in our walk in baptismal pool. As a new guest you can pick up your welcome package that includes a free coffee. A couple times a year we have a celebration, where we bring in fire jugglers, swing acrobats and some pretty cool stuff.
