There is not much shade in campground but the bayfront sites give a nice view of the bay and the beautiful sunsets. Lots of places to fish offshore and walk out in the water. The boat dock also has places to fish. Lots of catfish to be caught from the pier! There is a fish cleaning station for your daily catch. There is a pool but we didn't use it so I can't comment on that amenity. Pet friendly and there is a laundry facility, but $4 to wash a load was too expensive for me, so I went downtown to a laundromat. Only complaint is the wifi is really bad, but no big deal. We had a blast on the pontoon! Grocery and the beaches of Cape San Blas are really close by. Some really good restaurants too.

This is the situation we found ourselves in on our first night in Port St Joe. When we realized it (our solar wasn't kicking in at dark) we loaded the fur babies and went to a hotel. I messaged Tommy, 10pm, and he responded next morning (Father's Day). He wasn't available until Monday, but from my description of what was occurring he suggested a battery charger to get us through. We bought one and that saved us another night at the hotel. It worked like a charm. I sent him some videos and he already knew what the likely problem was. He was right on time Monday AM and let me know when he was 10 minutes out. He checked it out and sure enough it was the convertor. He replaced it quickly and made some suggestions as to why it may have went out. He did NOT have to suggest a temporary fix for us and could've guaranteed us having him come out and repair. I'm sure some folks would've called him and canceled with the 'bandaid' but he still helped us. We're so thankful that there are still businesses like this. I would highly recommend Tommy to anyone. FastCare mobile so called mechanic/jackleg did not plug the sensor back up so it can read the pressure in the tank. I will never recommend this company to anyone.
