If you're looking for the best pizza in Louisville, Kentucky, Greenside Pizza, Gravely Brewery's newest venture, belongs on the list. The space has a cute, nostalgic atmosphere, and the cocktail program is strong from the start. We started with the Hot Honey Margarita, made with tequila, orange and lime juice, house made hot honey, and smoked salt, and the Brined & Refined martini, a vodka based pickle martini with muddled dill and chive, pickle brine, and olive oil. Both were among the better cocktails we've had in Louisville. The Caesar salad followed, crisp romaine with a classic dressing and a solid cheese to dressing ratio, though a bit heavy on croutons. For pizza, we ordered the Prosciutto & Rocket, light and not overly sweet with a balsamic drizzle that added the right amount of acidity. We also built our own classic pepperoni pizza, and the NYC style sauce stood out immediately: tangy, well balanced, with a correct cheese to pepperoni ratio. Both pizzas were large, which tracks, since Greenside makes their pies in the traditional New York style with generously sized slices meant to be shared and taken home for leftovers! NYC style pizza is our benchmark, and Greenside gets the crust, sauce, and ratios right. I had a wonderful experience at Greenside Pizzeria in NuLu. Our server was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She explained that we could split one pizza and order two different varieties on the same pie, which made it easy for us to try more options. One of the halves we chose was The Bernheim, and it was delicious. The restaurant's green-themed interior matched the name "Greenside" perfectly and created a warm, inviting atmosphere. The overall ambiance was relaxed and enjoyable. I'm glad I had the opportunity to be part of this gathering and experience such great food, service, and atmosphere. Wow. Best pizza I've had in the Ky/in area. New York style. And huge! There were 6 of us. We ordered half margarita and half tie die- double cut. 12 slices total. Tie dye is the margarita with pesto sauce drizzled. But the real star is the garlic knots. My 7 yr old niece said it was the best garlic biscuit she's ever had. We also had the burrata. The tomatoes that come with it are yummy. Hands down will be back. read more

I was super excited to finally check this place out! I was able to snag lunch reservations and got there right at opening. The lovely lady in the front was able to greet me and offer some great suggestions. I ordered the ceaser salad & sweet heat wings! The wings are sooooo good, fried hard & naked just the way I like it. The sauce compliments the wings so well! Not too spicy and not too sweet! I thought the croutons in the salad were delicious as well. We also shared a pizza and I'm happy they allow you to do half and half because let's be honest, who's able to eat an entire 18 inch pizzas!? Pizza was pretty good, I was hoping for a little bit more sauce but overall the crust was great and the cheese was good. My friend mentioned she wish it came out hotter, it unfortunately was a bit lukewarm but it didn't make a difference to me. The cocktails were delicious! I ordered the Hugo spritz and the bartender did an excellent job, I really didn't think the cocktails were worth the price at first but after the first sip I can see why. Overall, the space has a nice open concept and is very clean! I think the pizza was decent but I'd honestly come back and maybe do the garlic knots and wings instead. We love Greenside! We've had pizza 3 times in the last two weeks and we can't get enough. Each time we've taken it to go as the restaurant gets quite busy. Plus who doesn't want to eat pizza on the couch which watching a movie?! The crust has a great flavor and can hold up all sorts of toppings, while the sauce has a slight sweetness to it. We love the stockyard with sausage, peppers, onions and mushrooms. We also have tried pepperoni and a pizza with all the cheeses the have. Each one has been good in its own way! read more

Calabrian Chili Chicken Wings are the best wings in Louisville. I was very impressed by the crunch, sheer amount of wings and bygolly I would buy bottles of that sauce. The pizzas were also fantastic. Meatball is truly made into something special because of the hot gardiniera (pickled peppers). Heatwave actually delivers the kick that so many "hot honey pizzas" don't. Ambiance is more upscale than you might imagine when you hear "pizza place opened by that guy from gravely" - but it's a welcome shift. Classy, not too moody, and clean. I've never left a negative review for service and it's unfortunate that this new, locally owned & delicious restaurant has to be the first. Daniel was not attentive (ie: water was not refilled (even after being asked), needed to be reminded for drink orders 15 minutes after placing them, did not ever check in and could be seen standing around). I am very quick to get the benefit of the doubt to servers, especially on busy nights - but I could see all of Daniel's tables and he was also being inattentive to them. Went with a larger group under a reservation. Pizza was really really good. NY style thin, crust was great on its own. Don't be scared of the pizza with jalapeños & Calabrian chiles. It was the right amount of hot. We also really enjoyed the pizza with ricotta, mushrooms & lemon juice. They offer giant scissors if you need to cut the pizza more but unfortunately the scissors were super dull & we ended up just ripping the slices that were huge. No big deal. I had a very disappointing experience at this pizzeria. When we walked in, there was no host present. We stood at the host stand for several minutes and were not greeted by anyone. The host actually saw us but did not approach or acknowledge us. After waiting and feeling completely ignored, we decided to sit in the waiting area. While we were sitting there -- still unacknowledged -- another couple walked in and the host immediately greeted them and sat them at a table right in front of us. We had been there before them and were never assisted. It felt incredibly dismissive and disrespectful to be overlooked like that. No one deserves to be ignored when they walk into a business. Basic customer service starts with acknowledging guests, and unfortunately, that did not happen here. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures that all customers are treated equally and respectfully moving forward. read more

My girlfriend and I ended up here after a full day exploring Louisville- we were starving, but honestly, we just needed to eat and we weren't expecting anything special. Oh man, were we pleasantly surprised! This is incredible pizza! Thin, crisp, and with just enough char- this was a great NY style pizza. (Full disclosure, I've lived in NY my entire life and I've had all the spots currently considered to be the best of the best, and this place held up with those spots.) We went last night (02-05-2026) and ordered 4 pizzas! (salads and apps too). We wanted to sample all of them. We had the Bernheim, Pepperoni, Heatwave and Stockyard. They were all delicious! We sat downstairs, and the tables are separated with lovely greenery and feel very private! We went upstairs to visit friends! The upstairs with all the big windows looked amazing and I'll request that area the next visit. The service was fantastic and the waitress checked on us constantly. The pizzas were truly New York style and I don't think any other place in Louisville has this same crust! Be prepared ~ the pizzas are huge! Several ordered the margaritas and loved those. Absolutely amazing!!! I always go into a new restaurant a little skeptical and assume it's not going to be amazing since they're working out the kinks and everything, but Greenside blew me away. The ambiance is very clean and fresh with an elevated look. The service was great, everyone was so kind and attentive and brought us what we needed in record time. Our server was Chandler and he was so friendly and attentive and couldn't recommend him enough! They let us do half and half pizzas because the pizzas are huge with 6 very large slices. We got the burrata appetizer to start. It was delicious with warm tomatoes and dressed arugula with burrata cut and drizzled with basil oil and balsamic and came with 2 crostinis. I think they should at least have 3 crostini's but either way it was delicious! Two of us got a Caesar and the other got The Rocket Salad. The Caesar was very good, nothing special or crazy but it was tasty. The rocket was simple and lemony and really enjoyed that as well. For pizza we got The Heatwave and The Meatball. The Heatwave was my favorite of the two with the perfect amount of spice level and the sauce was great! Everything came out in perfect time. Cocktails included an espresso martini which was incredible, Hugo Spritz which was super refreshing, and a mocktail (can't remember the name) that was a ginger grapefruit one and so so good!!!
