My father and mother set up their trust and estate planning with Gilmore, Rees, and Carlson, P.C…read more in Wellesley, MA, many years ago. My parents recently passed away. The lawyer at Gilmore, Rees, and Carlson, now handling the estate never knew my parents. His handling of the estate, in my experience, has consistently not been compassionate, respectful, professional, nor trustworthy. The highlight of Gilmore, Rees and Carlson's disrespect was their display of covert racism toward my family's heritage. When their offensive disrespect of my parents was brought to the attention of the attorney and the managing partner, they offered no apology, and instead, sent a reply that was hostile, defensive, projecting and clearly unapologetic. If my father were still around, and he experienced this, he'd have fired Gilmore, Rees and Carlson. Disrespecting the living is bad, but intentionally disrespecting the deceased, who's money is paying their legal fees is in a word, disgusting.

If you have money to throw away, this is the firm for you. They are way overpriced and they nickel…read moreand dime you. If you call the office to speak to your attorney, they will never come to the phone. You are always told that they are in a meeting. So you speak to the secretary who in turn emails the attorney with your message. You will be charged for the time it takes the attorney to read your message of about 2 sentences. Over the years, the secretaries were very highly seasoned qualified people. But they have all been replaced with inexperienced, sloppy people who never worked in a law firm before so don't expect much help from them. When you receive your draft package of estate plan documents after waiting so long for them, you will see--no page numbers on a 40 page trust and other errors. This way they hire cheap help and pad their pockets with the money they are saving. Lawyers are a dime a dozen and there are better firms to hire. My association with this place has come to an end.
