Their service is fast, efficient and reliable and carriage is subsidised. Their website is extremely efficent and well thought out. If the item you are interested in is available as a heavily discounted customer return you are offered this as an option prior to placing your order. The roof bars we ordered were described as unused but in damaged packaging. On arrival the following day they were in imaculate condition albeit £30 cheaper than the undamaged pair. Also included were several useful free gifts including a 2m ratchet load strap.

Spoke to roofbox on the phone today as I wanted to order an Altera Strada DL3 bike rack along with…read moreaccessories. I was told on the phone that this bike rack was out of stock and I would probably have to wait 3/4 weeks for it to come into stock, but that I could order it online just in case I can't find it elsewhere in the mean time, and then cancel the order if I do find another one. I was categorically told that my card would not be charged until the item is in stock, on the day that it is shipped, so I placed the order. However I checked my bank balance which had gone down by £400 so the card had obviously been charged! I phoned back to complain and was told that placing the order had put a "shadow on my account" which is apparently normal. If this was made clear on the phone call I wouldn't have minded, but I'm now in a situation where my balance and available balance are down by £400 more than I was expecting just before the weekend! I'm told the "shadow" will be lifted in "2 or 3 working days" but they couldn't say exactly when and I'll be unable to access this money until next week now (so I won't be able to afford to purchase the rack if I find it elsewhere). They shouldn't be giving this kind of advice on the phone it's just a rip off and I don't see why somebody else should be making a week's worth of interest on my money when I was assured I would not be charged!

Shopping here is a must, quality food is available from the farm shop including my favourite the triangle black pudding. Give up stopping at crap service stations stop here :p

Incredibly expensive even for the simplest foods. But the views are lovely, the eating area is wonderful, and the extensive farm shop is varied and atmospheric.
