Most practical subjects like scriptwriting, directing, sound design, editing, drama production, screen producing and multicam have been great joys of learning. The tech staff do an amazing job in providing equipment hire and much valued technical assistance. Some theory subjects like Intro Screen Analysis, Animated Cinema, Society & Web, and Genre And The Moving Image are very enlightening.
The negatives aspects that hold Griffith Film School back are bloated impractical subjects like Asia Pacific and Exegesis that are filled with pretentious fine arts attitudes. Which brings me to my major negative point that involving pretentious fine arts students in film schools is never any enjoyment to either film, animation or games students, tech staff or for most of the teachers for that matter. Finally while the vast majority of teachers are great, some need to learn to listen to students input and not play favourites. read more
