There is a sign that says the playground is open during daylight. Park at the northeast corner of the school and walk around back. A big playset with tunnels, slides, games, etc. Another playset focused on climbing. Three little "clubhouses" for kids to sit in. Teeter totters (very low to the ground,) climbing ropes, basketball courts nearby, a few benches, a shaded dining area, and more. And, another school next door with another cool-looking playground. My sister enrolled after moving in from out of state. Everyone has been helpful and kind. No issues as of yet. It has been an exciting, enriching and rewarding experience for all three. Even though we live in a community with a nationally ranked public school system, we chose Wellington because of the small class size and personal attention that a school of Wellington's size can deliver. We have not been disappointed. Our children thrive academically. They also have the opportunity to be in the band, play three different sports (lax, basketball and soccer) throughout the year without worries of being cut from the team (Wellington has a "no cuts" policy) and they can be in theater productions. Wellington encourages diversity in student interests and demonstrates its commitment to diversity in its teachers and in the students it accepts. Wellington parents are friendly, involved and welcome at Wellington. While some schools emphasize "rigor," Wellington seeks "engagement." Wellington students are engaged, active learners who generally are inspired to learn more, do more. It's an amazing place.

The playground is huge and fantastic, and it is located in close proximity to Sunny 95 Park, creating a really nice large space for play. The playground features a large merry-go-round, several traditional swings, seven different slides, an obstacle course that includes climbing, jumping, and strategy to complete, and this neat large net to climb and explore. There is also a Safety Town type set up that's very cute, featuring things like a fire station and police station play areas, and tiny streets with signs that kids can ride their bikes and scooters on and practice the rules of the road. We actually stumbled across it during a visit to Sunny 95 Park, so we had parked over there and walked over, but it looked like the school also has parking available. There are benches and picnic tables available around, and the picnic tables have some wonderful shade under the trees.
