We were treated to burgers by Grillin' Me Softly at our hackathon this weekend, so I can't comment on the menu or prices - but it was by far the best burger I've had in Munich! They even accommodated my "medium rare" order, and I actually finished the whole enormous thing. The guys in the truck were friendly and worked fast, and I'm still thinking about the sweet relish and perfectly-cooked beef. The First. The Finest. The Fly-est. Couldn't agree with Evan more. He basically nails it on the head with his review, so there isn't much more substance I can add. Munich's first gourmet food truck has definitely got people talking about street food, and these boys should pat themselves on the back for that! Where they lack in seating (for obvious reasons), they certainly make up for in taste, portion size, and flavor :) Honestly, it took me about 3 minutes to finish this burger.....it wasn't that small, it just tasted THAT good! I'd argue that the burgers are on par, if not BETTER, than some of the sit-down burger places around the city......I'm talking to you Burger House and Burger&Bier!!! I'm really pumped to try one of their steaks soon too! Also, I want to hug these boys for their sweet potato fries. You make a Southern girl's heart smile with those. The only thing confusing to me is the guacamole dip.....let the fries speak for themselves! I was walking around central Munich killing time, when I heard good American Rockabilly down one of the streets. Hundreds of people filled the closed off Straße, and quite a few street vendors. After watching others purchase food I decided that the "Grillin' Me Softly" food truck had the best-looking Burgers I've seen since arriving in Germany. I ordered the Brooklyn (7 euros), made with cheese, bacon, red onion, hot barbecue sauce, and jalapenos on a really nice good quality bun. I truly believe the bun is as important as the meat. The meat, in this case, was perfectly cooked not over done very juicy. I was served with a smile, which was nice to see on a very hot day. This is my 4th burger in the month I have been in Germany, and the best by leaps and bounds. Why American style burger joints think they need a liter of Catsup and a wonder bread style bun is beyond me. Many American bars could learn a lot about burgers from the three girls in that truck. read more
