There was a strong smell of ammonia/dog in the area that they take you to play/show you the puppies. But after being a regular volunteered at plenty of animal shelters I'm positive that it's nothing to be concerned with. Beth did give me a little tour and to my surprise she was gives the mamas queen treatment. She went into depth on why each thing was as it was and how she cares for them daily, she has really put a lot of time and thought into the design of her little animal facility. After talking I was amazed to learn of the time and energy that goes into caring for these animals. I understood and had zero problem with paying what she was asking for our pups. We were in a situation where adoption from a humane society or rescue was not panning out (we looked for over a year for the type of dog we needed for our family needs) so we decided to research breeders and puppy adoptions. On a whim we decided to check out the pet doctor as we personally knew a couple of people who knew some of the employees. When you first walk in it does have the feel of the old pet stores you used to see in malls in the 90s with the glass wall and kennels lined against the wall behind the glass with puppies barking and playing, vying for attention from visitors. We spoke to one of be owners upon our arrival and explained our needs. She showed us the last remaining puppy of a recent litter and he was well socialized and healthy. She also explained her experiences with the breed and showed us photos of her own dog of the same breed. She explained the warranty of health and life guarantee. As long as you vet your animal everything seems as expected for purchasing a puppy. We picked him up later in the day as we had other shopping to do around town. Another lady helped us upon pickup and was also friendly and helpful. She provided us with some free food (we also purchased some puppy food) and rubbed some toys we'd purchased on his kennel mate so he would have a familiar scent in his new home. We took him home with validation of health and shot records and he took took to our family immediately. He's potty training well and appears to be in perfect health. He even slept through his first night with minimal whining. The puppies here are not cheap, but not out of line from what people ask on Facebook swap pages or regional newspaper classified ads. Do your research on breeds and average sale prices before making a decision. A puppy of any breed or cost is an investment and you have to be prepared to care for them like a child. We would definitely recommend Pet Doctor to anyone looking for a new puppy for their family.

From the very beginning, they were extremely responsive, which, if you've been searching for a new pup, you know is important and rare. They answered all of our questions, sent updates and pictures as Cosmo was aging to perfection, and made the transaction so easy. On the day we came to pick up our new baby, we were provided with detailed directions to their home, and instructions on what we should do upon arrival, paying close attention to safety precautions due to COVID-19. Once we arrived and met our new guy, Debbie's years of experience with dog breeding was apparent. She had all of our paperwork, lists of medications, supplies for our trip home, and went over everything with us to be sure we had no questions. Two days after bringing Cosmo home, he went to the veterinarian and they gave him a great bill of health, and also commended Ford's lil Paws for their thoroughness. They also said we were the third couple that had been there to get a puppy. So apparently we got Scammed. We went to the Bryant Police Department and made a report.
