The last thing you would expect to find tucked away in Kingswood is this lovely community farm. It's free to get in and run solely by volunteers. There is a cafe that sells drinks, ice creams, sandwiches and cakes. We didn't eat but my son had a lunch box which was basic but adequate. We then headed round the farm which consists of pens and paddocks containing all the usual farm animals. There was also hens, chickens and a lamb roaming free around the farm. It's all designed so you can touch the animals which is great. There is also picnic areas, a large playground and lots of space for running around. My one year old son absolutely loved it. It's a rare treat to find somewhere this good that's free. We'll definitely be regulars now we know it exists! read more

Grimsbury farm is a lovely little farm in kingswood, they have lots of different animals and it's completely FREE! We come here regularly with our 22 month old son as it's not far from where we live and it's perfect if you're stuck for something to do. They have goats, pigs, sheep, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens & ducks. All the animals look very healthy and happy which is always nice to see. They also have a little shop/cafe and a children's park, you can't fault it. read more

I love this place ! A free farm to visit on my doorstep that all children will love ! This place has plenty to see. There are plenty animals to visit from pigs, goats chickens and rabbits ect. There is a play area that has plenty in to keep the children entertained, even the parents lol ! You can take a walk through and around the farm which is really nice and the views are lovely, you soon realise what a fantastic city we live in. They have a small cafe. The food looks ok, they seem to have plenty of snacks, drinks etc. The parking is tight especially when the weather is nice, this place can become extremely busy, I parked on the road which was fine. Grimsby farm is well looked after which is great to see. Overall a fantastic farm to visit, which is free. Can not fault this place a great few hours can be spent here with the children. read more
