Grind Coffee Company BAD CHOICE! NO STARS! WASTE of MONEY! A horrible disappointment! Never again! I was genuinely excited to try the coffee here. I stated to the young lady at the counter that this was my first time patronizing the business and that I was looking forward their offerings. She looked at the other young lady at counter and rolled her eyes and just smirked. I asked her for some recommendations... their signature coffees, what they're known for, and customer favorites. She rolled her eyes again and with a smirk stated that "these are good" as she pointed to a piece of paper with a list of drinks that she pushed across the counter. She didn't make any recommendations, just read this. Noting her dismissive attitude, I just ordered my plain coffee which took almost 10 minutes. I paid for my coffee and went on to my meeting. I took a sip and realized that was not what I ordered. She did not serve me coffee she served some kind of chai nasty tasting mess with almond milk. I had to throw it out. Needless to say the $7.00 would've been better spent somewhere else. I don't feel valued as a customer at this place. I can't take them seriously, if they can't even be courteous enough to listen to the order, and ensure it was right. Such a shame, it truly was a lost opportunity to be welcoming, and willing to take me from first time customer to loyal customer. Failed at delivering an amazing customer service experience. Well as the saying goes, "You get what you paid for", I sure did! There are better places to get a Great cup of coffee... go there instead. the inside is cozy and the employees greet you when you walk in. i got the tiramisu drink and the white mocha frozen latte. they're very good. The tiramisu isn't too sweet but very chocolatey. It taste's like one of those coffee chocolates from a box of chocolates. The frozen latte is creamy and sweet. Prices are similar to any big chain, but they have a student discount. Updating my review. Most of my regular spots were closed due to the pandemic, and grind was one of the few that reopened and kept measures in place to keep their employees and customers safe. I appreciate that. Their coffee has definitely gotten me through some rough work-from-home times. The couple of times I have been in, I saw some new faces. The new guy that works there was Friendly and informative. I took a peep at their social media's and it seems as if the nervous blonde boy and the hairy boys no longer work there? A welcome change from my perspective, and hopefully a change for the betterment of the cafe overall. I got to see some of their summer drinks advertised, so maybe I will swing by again soon to try them. Definitely a better experience in the last year overall. read more

The atmosphere as soon as you enter Grind Coffee Co. is warm and friendly. Upon entering, the barista always welcomes you in. They have books, games, and art all around the coffee house which really bring on a hip and cozy vibe. It's always clean and the baristas are always ready to help with anything. Sorry to say that I have to rereview this coffee shop with a far less positive review. I have only been here twice, but I probably won't be back. First, the place smelled terrible when we walked in. I don't know what cleaner they use, but it smelled terrible. Second, the barista was really rude. My friend tried to ask him a question and the guy just ignored him. He just looked at him and went back to what he was doing. He was steaming milk at the time and was looking right at us so it wasn't like it was an interruption. It's a great place to hangout or catch up with friends over a cup of coffee or play board games which they have there (personal fav: Hedbanz). It's also a good place to cram for tests seeing as they have purposed their cozy back room for quiet studying. Their menu is diverse enough that they have something for everyone: hand-brew coffee, lattes, cortados, iced coffee beverages, blended drinks, cold brew coffee, teas, hot chocolate, and topochico. Added bonus: they carry various milks! Soy, almond, lactose-free. It's there! They also carry some assorted pastries for you to munch on with your caffeine. Super added bonus: they also bake their own vegan pastries, that is, if you're lucky enough to snag one while they're still in the pastry case. They are absolutely delicious! Over my many visits, I've hung out, laughed, and talked with friends. I've gone to spend many, many nights studying in their study room in the back. I've lounged around on my favorite arm chair on slow mornings with my nose in a book sipping on a cappuccino. I've sat at the bar, chatting with the baristas as they crafted my drink (iced almond milk latte with chocolate and hazelnut is my indulgence drink lol). This is the best coffee and coffee house I have been to in ALL of Texas! The baristas are amazing women, coffee is high quality (not that cheep crap), and the environment is conducive to studying or hanging out. The baristas as Grind coffee are like your friends! Since the coffee shop is close the the university, the barista asked a couple of guys how their first day of school went. Which make the customers feel welcomed and a "at home" feel. The place is very clean and they have a section in the back of the shop full of books and board games. This is definitely something I hadn't seen in the valley aside from the board games at Roosevelt's. Grind coffee is well known for the designs they make on a hot coffee, however being that I went at 3pm, I had to order a cold blended drink. The marshmallow and chocolate blend is a unique combination that's frequently ordered. It's not too sweet and I can still taste the chocolate which is perfect. read more
