The Rosenberg location was hopping for lunch today. It was crowded and it was a bit of a tight squeeze for the inside aisle seats. The service was good, albeit, a bit slow. Considering the packed room & my unlimited time for lunch today, I was okay with it. If I was in a rush, it would've been a concern. I ordered the Rodriguez. It has chicken and/or steak fajita nachos, a chicken enchilada, a chicken taquito, guacamole, sour cream, and a side of queso, served with Mexican rice and choice of beans. This is one of my favorite dishes because it has a of variety of dishes all in one. Everything on my plate was pretty good. The nachos were tasty but the cheese wasn't melted. Since the beans & meat were precooked it was ok but would've been better with gooey melted cheese. read more

My name is Madeline Culpepper. On July 8, 2026 my guest and I dined at Gringos in Rosenberg Tx and experienced a unpleasant experience. We arrived and was seated, and received the chips and dips. The waitress took our orders for salads. We sat for 40-45 minutes without receiving our food. We noticed a couple who had arrived after us had received their meal and we were still waiting. I requested a manager to ask why our salads were delayed. The manager gave no apology but said he'd check on it. A few minutes later our meal arrived but still no apology. we ate a little and then decided to take our meals to go. It was then that the manager returned to our table and offered us a free dessert. we chose the tres leches but asked for it to go. We both sampled the cake at home and it tasted awful. The worst tres leches we've tasted. It tasted old / stale. I am very surprised at this because my family and I spend many family dinners their on Friday nights. Now I question the service that use to be very polite, and considerate towards their customers. read more

Literally my favorite Tex-Mex chain to go to. Service has always been great in the Rosenberg location. Definitely get the fajita plate beef (medium rare). Most of their orders are shareable and everything is delicious. The red salsa on the tacos are a must! read more

I had delivery today because it's cold and raining plus I didn't want my eyes to get rain water near them until they heal. My Door Dash person was Evalyn. She came early and my order was perfect. Ten stars for Evalyn. I ordered my standby order of PACIFICO SHRIMP eight brochette shrimp with Mexican panela cheese, jalapeño & bacon with guacamole, pico & lime butter. We had an amazing experience at Gringo's thanks to our waiter, Carlo. He was an excellent server -- very attentive, friendly, and on top of everything all night. Our drinks were always full, and he checked on us often without ever being intrusive. Most importantly, he went above and beyond to make my 7-year-old daughter's birthday feel truly special. He made her smile, made sure she felt celebrated, and created a fun and memorable experience for her. She talked about it the whole way home! Absolutely the worst service I have received in my years of living in this area. CJ THE MANAGER WAS RACIST AND INPROFESSIONAL WOTH HOW SHE HANDLEd my mother in laws table this evening. She didn't want to service us and then proceeded to say "everytime You people come in here it's a problem" knowing we are regulars there and the servers and bartenders know us all by name I refuse to continue to pay my hard earned money in this particular location until she is fired or reprimanded for her poor unprofessional snarky behavior . We go to Gringos quite often, the food has definitely changed lately. Last time I had the Cabo salad and it was not the same. Today I had the fish tacos which are one of my favorites. They changed the tortillas, they were the corn street tacos which were not good. The taco had no flavor and no spice. Bummer because it's always been our go to restaurant. Been eating at Gringo's since the first restaurant in Pearland. I've moved to Richmond and this location is always busy and bustling, servers are knowledgeable and friendly. Food is okay. Portions are generous Nothing bad folks, just not my fav Tex-Mex spot. read more

Our family loves Gringo's! Lots of variety on menu. Good food. Nice servers. They do come check on you & bring more salsa & chips, drink refills. We also like the soft serve ice cream. There is usually a crowd, even if you come early or get on wait list. There are usually 6 or 7 of us, so we need a large table or booth. read more

The food is above average but what is upseting to us is we do eat later than some due to our work schedule and Gringo's kitchen closes an hour earlier than most of their competition. We have gone there about 10 minutes until close a couple of times and see many cars there with several people still eating and having drinks watching tv. The looks and the rolling of the eyes we have gotten were pretty clear that we were inconveniencing the staff. We were also told once at 8:50 once that they weren't supposed to seat us. Since January, my fiancé and I have spent about $1200-$1500 at this establishment. I finished with a degree in restaurant and hospitality and spent several years in the industry. My Fiancé was born and raised in Bryan/College Station, graduated from Texas A&M University and grew up in his family's restaurant business where he began as a dishwasher then 20+ years later he stepped down as Vice President of his family's restaurant business to pursue another career. It's ashame that this location is "hit or miss"at best. I can assure you that we won't be back. read more

Host: Two front girls who did not look at all happy. They look irritated, not welcoming and it's my first time here so right off the bat that ruined the mood. 1/10 Our waiter: MJ had good customer service, friendly, and made sure to check on our table every so often. 10/10 Chips and salsa: Chips are salty, not sure if it's made in-house since they couldn't do no salt on it. Salsa is not spicy at all but it was good. 7/10 Shrimp empanadas: lots of shrimps inside. 8/10 I liked it more with the green sauce that came with the chips. Shrimp enchiladas: 8/10 everything was good but I didn't like the block of cheese in the enchiladas. I enjoyed the dish more with the flour tortilla and put all the stuff inside. Charro beans: 6/10. I found 1 piece of small bacon in it and a few pieces of jalapeño only. Everything else is just beans which is fine but I would've like more stuff in it. Ice cream: I tried the vanilla only and it wasn't frozen enough, too soft like it was going to melt anytime soon and ice cream tasted watered down. 1/10 Atmosphere and music was good. I sat in a booth and there wasn't enough room to move. Space would've been bigger. 5/10 read more

Man, my sis was raving about Gringo's takeout for awhile. So, we tried it as takeout out twice as a family. All I've got to say is that they get 5 stars just for the portion sizes. Lol. Generous amounts of tortilla chips, refried beans, and rice. We've tried their chicken enchiladas family pack, which was pretty good. The chicken was slightly dry, but all the sauces we got did help with that. We did try their beef enchiladas the second time around, and that was delicious and more flavorful. We always get their southwest egg rolls too. These go great with their Amazon sauce. Yummy. Btw, we also had queso sauce, cilantro avocado sauce, and salsa. Tabasco also goes fantastic with their rice and refried beans for an extra kick. Online ordering with curbside pickup was so easy. If you're looking for an easy family dinner night, try out Gringos. read more

Have never been to this place so you know we had to give them a try. Service was great which is definitely a good thing to begin with when you ever a busy mexican food establishment. I had the Plato Soldado because we try and support our veterans as much as possible. YOU SHOULD AS WELL! The only thing that I didn't like off that plate was the dry AF tamale which didn't have much taste either. Wifey had some cheese enchiladas because she's sworn off meat & chicken for the foreseeable future, and you know I had to give it a try. Thumbs up! All in all, it was a good visit but not a place I would say that I'd visit twice. Honestly, a little too pricey for the quality of the meal, but such is life. read more
