In the winter, the bedroom is freezing. When it's humid, the floor is wet, and you know what? The owner got the audacity to ask us IF we broke a pipe. Like how? Also, 4-times already, we got dead mole in the furnace room. We cannot even use the furnace or water heater room (but it's attached to our bedroom somehow), and somehow, moles kept getting in there. The building manager is nice though. But, overall, shitty building. Skip this one.

It sold to a family that toured it the second day after it was listed and offered $2,500 over listing price! Prior to this, they assisted me in moving to my "forever home" this fall. They helped me decide what items I should move and suggested where to place them for maximum impact. They did some painting and made suggestions on the person that laid flooring and engaged the movers being there during the actual move instructing the movers where to place items. The move was flawless and almost painless! After that they went with us to help select several pieces of furniture and were here two months later when it was delivered. I was very impressed with them when customers approached them at the furniture store and asked them questions. Without hesitation they said what they believed. During the last five years and before these experiences, I had them for three consultations in addition to having them stage three "flippers". With the flippers, they looked at them in their original conditions and made suggestions on what to do to enhance their appearance, flow, and value. They always make economical suggestions and I firmly believe they have saved me more money than what their services have cost. They listen and encourage my input. For example, the bathroom flooding due to frozen pipes, not having water due to frozen pipes, inhabitable living conditions due to James forgetting to turn the furnace on, and numerous other complaints and concerns left unaddressed. This ultimately made me decide not to resign my lease. I requested to do a walkthrough with James after I moved out and it was noted some of the marble floor tiles in the bathroom were damaged. I told James some of the marble tiles had cracked due to my apartment flooding and being below freezing for well over a month. James then stated there were scratches on some of the marble tiles. I pointed out that it is normal wear and tear on flooring and according to the lease, my security deposit is not to be used for normal wear and tear. Not to mention, many scratches were in front of where the washing machine was. Due to the freezing conditions, James sent employees to come over to fix the frozen pipes. His employees pulled my washing machine out multiple times causing scratches. James stated he was withholding my $800 security deposit and requested I pay for all new flooring in the bathroom because he "can't find any to match the existing tile." I told James that it was not my responsibility to pay and that I am still requesting my security deposit back. It has been months without the return of my security deposit. Overall not a good experience and would not recommend renting from him!!!! Unfortunately, he has blocked me on all platforms so I am unable to leave a review on Facebook which is where his rental properties are managed.
