The Grotte Chauvet 2 is a Disney production. It's great for children to have an educational experience understanding prehistoric life.
Nothing is real.
We toured as adults, and English speaking. The audio tour is timed differently than the other audio yours so the last three "stops" in the fake cave, you are still on the previous stop.
The tour guide confronted us angrily about why we had fallen behind. We held out our headset for her to hear where we were on the tour. We did not start these audio guides, the people at the front desk did.
It was not a factor in her insisting that the tours leave every 15 minutes, and we were messing up the timing.( My partner is French so he could speak with her.)
We were guided by her to the door. We never saw the last 3 stops in the fake cave.
We went to the desk and asked to see the last three stops, since we have a home in Vallon and would want be able to assist our guests.
They gave us an address, and my partner sent an email in French explaining what had happened.
We never got a reply.
If you have children and want to see science exhibits it's a good start.
If you are an older adult you will enjoy the real caves ( at least 3) located very close by. The guides are lovely, and if you plan ahead will have English speaking guides. There are steps involved but I already look forward to our next visits!
We loved Marcel and Madeleine.
Happy day to you! read more
