Stayed 20/3/18
Food Standards Rating: 5/5.
Tim and Lesley a very welcoming couple.
Room cost: £42 (incl breakfast) - Chosen the night before. An exceptional choice.
Easy to find, and I have read on other sites, one person struggled to find the place. TIP: Some SAtNavs Place the B&B at about number 85, 86, 87. Just follow the road down from the those higher numbers.
I found the parking ideal. I believe there is additional parking but I did not use.
Work has been taken since they took over, with a move of the kitchen and dining room. All completely renewed. Central heating boiler only a year old.
Room was well heated. This had also been decorated recently, and there continues to be a project to revamp all of the rooms. Not sure how many remain to be completed.
I had a room with a double and single bed, and en-suite. The bedding was brand new, and very comfortable. There were 4 pillows on the double bed, and these were fragrant. Not sure of the scent.
Plenty of electric sockets, but required a bit of reaching. Good number of mirrors.
A good en-suite. The shower had a good pressure, which I like. A thoughtful selection of extra toiletries.
TV was a bit small, but adequate, and I was able to view OK from the bed.
As I say plenty of selection at breakfast especially for the price.
Only one thing brought to their attention was the ironing board, which is situated downstairs. Needed a new cover, and secured so that the edges don't fold up when ironing. This was taken on-board, and I suspect will be changed.
Would I stay again: YES. read more
