He was at that time shy, hard to communicate with, and was overall stubborn with wanting to do what he wanted and when. As a father that always wants the best for his kids and worries about how they may acclimate to new places and experiences, I worryingly counted down the days until we ultimately had to let him walk through the threshold into Level Up. The initial drop offs were rough on us and him as he got used to new places and teachers, and every week I wondered if it was truly the right choice for us. However, thanks to the absolute patience, empathy from the staff here, and stunning attention to what our son needs and how to communicate most effectively with him he started to absolutely blossom. A kid that couldn't finish the ABC's was somehow talking in full sentences by the end of the year, telling his feelings in reaction to what we were saying to him, and somehow became the line leader of his entire group. While yes, some of this may have come naturally to him over time both my wife and I agree that this school has put him well over the top of academic and social expectations. He has become acutely aware and sensitive of others people's wants and needs, is quite the public performer thanks to the schools seasonal performances, and thanks to the learning curriculum is quite aware of how to conserve energy and help the earth thrive. While still the stubborn little guy he is, he continues to excel and be nurtured by the staff who is THE reason why we are still at this location. Ms. Shushma, the manager of this facility has lead her team in a way that is nothing more than admirable. It is clear during drop offs and picking up that she knows the personalities and needs of every single one of her students and makes sure that they are accounted for. Her door is always opened for questions, concerns, and she has always reached out with thoughtful ways on how to best take care of our son in the most respectful manner. Over the last year and a half she become one of the most influential people in our sons development, and we could not thank her enough for her time and energy. If you are looking for a care center where your child needs attention, patience, and a really fun place to play (the happy home indoor play area two doors down is really cool) I would highly consider the Fremont location. We are currently enrolled in a full time 5 day a week program with optional included meals and will be enrolling our daughter when the time rolls around.

After about 2-3 months at school and interacting with the children and teachers, his vocabulary has exploded. He talks all of the time now and surprising us with new words almost every day. When he started, the teachers assessed how much he knew already and looked at what they have to work on with him. They focused on phonics and getting him to use words more. They do have parent-teacher conference to go over his progress and what still needs to be worked on. He is still not the best at sharing but he is learning. He enjoys the songs and dances that he learns from school. He is slowly getting better at the worksheets needing less assistance than before. He loves his alphabets and numbers. He knows how to read a couple of words. Our son has been in the middle of his potty training journey, but it's been difficult for him to use unfamiliar bathrooms. The teachers remind the kids on using the bathroom. The school has part-time and full-time enrollment. The teachers are always so nice and patient with him and the other kids. The school has occasional events/programs throughout the year that we are invited to watch as the kids have fun and perform what they have learned. We are so happy with his progress thus far.

My older child (now 5) graduated from Safari, and my younger one is currently enrolled. The growth, curiosity, and confidence I've seen in both of them have been incredible. From the very beginning, Safari Kids has been supportive and nurturing not just in academic development, but emotional and social growth as well. There's a good balance of academics, arts and crafts, and activities. My oldest came home every day excited to share what he learned -- from phonics, numbers, and early reading skills to big, thoughtful topics like the circle of life, recycling, the planets, and more. The arts and crafts activities also helped spark his creativity. I was constantly amazed by how much he knew -- sometimes even more than what I'd expect from a kindergartner! One of the moments that really stood out for me was when we welcomed a new baby at home. The transition was a bit hard on my older child, but the teachers handled it with such care. They encouraged him to bring family photos and share stories about his baby brother during show and tell. That simple gesture helped him feel seen and proud in his new role as a big brother. Now, with my younger child just three months into Safari (after previously being in home daycare), I'm already seeing tremendous growth. He adjusted quickly thanks to the warm, welcoming teachers -- and the daily updates and photos helped ease the transition for us too. He's now picking up new words daily and becoming more expressive and independent. The teachers at Safari Kids truly care, and it shows in everything they do. This is a school with a strong sense of community, the teachers know all the kids (even if not in same classroom) and the parents invite other kids to birthday parties. I highly recommend Safari Kids to other parents as an enriching place for their children to grow.

From the very beginning, the staff were welcoming, and supportive. Our child's journey through preschool has been filled with so many beautiful memories, milestones, and moments of growth - and the teachers have played an important role in it. The curriculum strikes a perfect balance between structured learning and play-based activities. It has nurtured curiosity, encouraged creativity, and helped build the foundation for lifelong learning and friendship. We have seen our child grow in confidence, kindness and joy, and we are so grateful for the positive, caring environment. Communication with the school has been good. We receive regular updates, photos, and newsletters, which help us stay connected to what's happening in the classroom. As any other parent we also had certain concerns/suggestions, the staff were open for feedback and addressed our concerns. The facilities are clean, safe, and thoughtfully designed for young learners. Overall, I recommend Safari Kid, Union City to any parent looking for a positive and well-rounded early education experience. As my child is all set to start Kindergarten, a special shout out to the teachers - Ms. Sarbani, Ms. Maliha, Ms. Sathyam, Ms. Shobha, Ms. Anu and Ms. Shailaja - Thank you again! The teachers weren't just taking care of the kids, they genuinely cared about them. They felt like a second family to us, and you could tell they loved what they did. She learned everyday routines, how to communicate better, share with others, be more independent, and so many little life skills that have made such a difference. One thing we also really appreciated was how much care they took when it came to the children's health and well-being. During the entire year she attended, she was rarely sick, which we truly believe reflects how clean the environment was and how seriously the staff took hygiene and illness policies. As parents, that gave us so much peace of mind. Knowing she was happy, safe, and excited to go every morning meant everything to us. We always felt she was in the best hands. Thank you to all the amazing teachers and staff for everything you've done for our daughter. We'll always look back on her time here with so much appreciation, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this daycare to any family.

They became part of our family. Leaving your children in someone else's care is never easy, but we always had complete confidence that our children were safe, loved, understood, and genuinely cared for. The warmth, patience, and dedication of the staff are extraordinary. They supported our children through some of their most important early years, helping them learn, grow, build confidence, and develop friendships. They celebrated their milestones, comforted them when they needed it, and cared for them as individuals. Green Apple Preschool gave our family something truly priceless: peace of mind. We will always be grateful for the love and excellent care they gave our children and for the beautiful memories they helped create. It is difficult to express how much this school and its wonderful people mean to us. For any parent looking for a preschool where their child will be genuinely loved and treated like family, I cannot recommend Green Apple Preschool highly enough. It will always hold a very special place in our hearts.

The classroom is always clean, organized, and welcoming. One of the things we appreciate most is how much effort she puts into teaching and celebrating different festivals with the kids, while also exposing them to different cultures, ethnicities, and geography in such a thoughtful way. We have seen so much positive growth in our son since he started here. He has become much more confident with public speaking (thanks to show-and-tell), has developed a real interest in reading, can spell his name, and is learning new concepts so quickly, from shapes and numbers to letters and beyond. We also love how much focus there is on life skills and independence. He has learned to do so many things on his own, while also being taught the importance of kindness, sharing, and respect for others. This preschool feels so well-rounded, nurturing, and wholesome. The school is very well managed. One of the biggest reason is Ms. Darlene, the owner/ director. She is very hands on. She knows everything about the business and her school, including all the students in various classes and their parents. When you have concern or questions, she is always very welcoming and takes time to address your concern, whether it's related to the school or to your kid. As a parent, I feel very comfortable sending my kids there. We also love the teachers there. All of them are very caring. Even though not all of them are my kid's class teacher, most of them knows my kid's name and always have a big smile on them when talking to him. It is also a great school to get your kids ready for the kindergarten. In case you are curious, they use Hook on Phonics program. The program really prepares all kids very well, and lead them started on reading. So from a parent's point of view, they are very organized administratively, teachers are very caring, and your kids are beyond ready academically for the next step, what more can I ask for? Luckily, my younger one will be going there soon!

A Wonderful Start to Our Son's Early Years!…read more Our son Hrishikesha was part of the Little Mud Puddles family from age 2 to 4, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to support his early growth and development. What initially drew us in was their play-based learning approach--something we truly value at this age, instead of overwhelming kids with academic pressure too early. From the very beginning, the warmth and personal attention from the staff stood out. Every teacher greeted each child by name with genuine affection, creating a nurturing and welcoming environment. The bond the teachers develop with the children is clearly visible, and we always felt confident that our son was in good hands. A special thank you to Ms. Vanessa and Ms. Tanya, who were his teachers during his first year. They played a crucial role in helping him transition smoothly into daycare life and made that big adjustment much easier for all of us. In his second year, Ms. Emily and Ms. Becki continued this wonderful care. A huge shoutout to Ms. Emily, who greeted Hrishikesha every morning with a big hug--something that made daily drop-offs so much smoother. She also guided him through potty training, encouraged him to try new foods, and supported his language development with such patience and care. The school is led by the ever-approachable Ms. Darlene, whose thoughtful insights and regular updates about our child's development were always appreciated. The biannual assessments covering physical, language, and social development were thorough and shared thoughtfully during PTMs. We also loved the many memorable events and celebrations--from the Halloween parade and Christmas performance to Easter egg hunts and birthday celebrations. Even little touches like photo day every six months made our time at Little Mud Puddles extra special. We wholeheartedly recommend Little Mud Puddles to any family seeking a safe, loving, and joyful environment for their child. It truly was a second home for Hrishikesha, and we're so grateful for the love and care he received there.

Daycare is tough for parents since we entrust individuals with our kids and we don't know what they're doing all day. our kids may not know how to communicate (or just forget). Brightwheel is the app for all parent/teacher communication and they're very active in uploading photos, calendar events, reminders, and direct messages. There's always so many photos and synopsis of their projects, it's nice to be able to ask our kids on the details on what they did that day. Despite the open lines of communication, teachers and Ms. Kim always make the effort to talk to parents if issues arise or just to say some perceptive comments about our kids. They say it takes a village to raise a child and I truly see this childcare center as a community! The Newark city department workers are involved with events ( i.e. fourth of July parade, Santa visit, etc) and parents volunteer their gifts if they feel inclined.
