Concept is to order at the cash and they ll bring the meal to you. We ordered 2 burgers and chips (fries) on the side. Their burgers are huge and can be easily shared by 2 people. We enjoyed it as it wasn t dry at all. The service was Ok, they mostly stayed behind the counter to chitchat. They were running out of soap so I asked to have a refill only to be given another nearly empty bottle.... makes you wonder about the hygiene of the place when running low on soap... Overall decent burger restaurant, a few minutes of walk needed to reach the beach. Easy to find free parking.

Offshore has recently expanded into providing take away meals that are individually and freshly prepared as well as a home catering service. With the competition being fierce, the service and friendliness make for a place to go back to.

Moby- You've been a leader in Torquay with your menu options, buck the trend and offer table service! We usually visit in a fairly sizable group and we can usually get a table without a wait even in the mist of summer (Torquay's peak time) due to the large amount of tables inside and out.

I had the baked beans and I thought it was really tasty. Then beans weren't overcooked and the ham hock is just perfect. Amongst all the baked beans I have had around Geelong, this was one of the best. I had a taste of the lasagna as well. It was alright, although I thought some of the elements have been too mushy - but maybe because it was slow cooked, I wasn't really sure what to expect from it exactly. As it happened we ordered food and coffee at the same time and settled in expecting a loooonng wait for the food (and coffees). A surprisingly short 10mins later the food came out and it was pretty good. I had the Ploughmans Steak Sandwich which was tasty and didn't fall completely apart like some steak sangas can do. About 5 minutes after the food came out our coffees came out with the explanation of 'Sorry, we had some takeaways.' It seemed like the takeaways were unexpected which is weird. The coffee was really good and would bring me back for that alone. Overall, other than the space issues, there was nothing wrong with this place. The food was good but not spectacular. The cafe proper is sometimes open to the elements at the front when the weather is right. It was a cool and sunny day and open to the air was just the right feel today. I had difficulty choosing the food today. The Dagwood Bumstead burger, basically a hamburger with the lot with chips on the side, sounded pretty good. My partner selected the BLT with cheese. The food was old fashioned but good. It was just what we were after. The burger was big, tasty and generous. A substantial meal with done lovely chips. The BLT was very well received too. It was all delightfully retro. There was good music playing too. Nice service throughout as well and the staff seemed happy and engaged.
