I went here several times before I finally understood that there was a pattern of bait-and-switch going on.
Initially, I thought either I misunderstood, or the clerk misspoke, because it always seemed that they told me one price when I left the film, and a higher one when I returned to pick up the pictures. There was always a different reason: sometimes they "forgot" to give me the free film they had told me was included, sometimes they claimed the lower price was for smaller-sized pictures, sometimes they said that was the old price.
But I caught on when a visiting friend broke her camera, and we came over here to see what they could do to help. The lady told us they didn't service that brand, and wouldn't help us figure out who did, because she wanted my friend to buy a new one instead. The man, who is the owner, then tried to sell my friend a camera from an already opened box, with a cord from a different model that didn't fit! Fortunately I noticed and pointed it out. He continued to insist that it was the right cord until I reached over and showed that it didn't fit. Since it was the only one left of that model, he then tried to sell her a more expensive model, and wouldn't give her the lower price (10 Euro difference).
The whole experience was so openly sleazy, that's when I realized that all along the price-differences I had been experiencing were no accident. Maybe they only do this to foreigners, since some Italians report getting good service here.
I also discovered during the summer that they tell you they're closed for certain dates for summer vacation, and yet they're actually closed much longer. I went back several times to pick up my pictures before finding they had finally reopened, no explanation and no apology. A good place to never, ever patronize again. read more
