As of 11:00 am they have called 4 people. Every time someone completes their appointment with the employee, they close the blinds and it takes 30 min to call a new person back. You can hear them behind the glass (with the blinds closed) laughing and giggling. No sense of urgency to do their job. It's sad that's what our hard earned tax dollars pay for. The waiting room is full and no end in sight.

Initially, I went into Bucees and asked if there were anyone there that could help jumpstart my truck. Unfortunately, they were unable to accommodate and suggested that I look around for someone that was currently at the pumps. I saw a NBPD vehicle and approached the officer there who was on the phone. He said he would be right with me, but apparently called someone to come see what I needed. Very soon, another officer was there and asked what I needed. I told him that I needed a "jump" for my truck. He said that NBP were not allowed to use their vehicles to "jumpstart" other vehicles as it was a liability issue. I told him thank you and started to walk back to my truck when a 3rd NBPD Officer drove up next to me and asked if I needed a "jumpstart". I said, "Yes, but I didn't think you were allowed to." He said, we are not, but I have my own little gadget that I bought on Amazon prime day and was able to jumptstart a diesel ambulance a couple of days ago, I could try your truck if you like. Of course, I said, "sure".... within less than a minute, my truck (that has 2 batteries) started. I was SO excited, I thanked him and asked if I could take a picture of his gadget as I thought I might buy one to keep handy. He was happy to let me. I do have his name, but don't want to get him in trouble just in case he was not allowed to help.....rules are crazy these days. However, I want to let him know that I really appreciate his chivalry and willingness to help. I have 2 brother-in-laws in law enforcement and I know they would have done the same. Glad to know there are Police Officers out there that really do "Protect and Serve". THANK YOU so much. Quick suggestion...maybe NBPD should pick up a few of these gadgets so their officers can help out in these types of situations.
