We went to Guanabana over the week for some ice cream and we loved it! We ordered a chocolate dipped cone with mint ice cream (bottom) and taro (top). Let's start with the cone - we originally thought the cone would be the size in display and were we surprised. Double the size of the display cone! The ice cream tastes very good, I enjoyed both flavors, they werent artificial tasting taro and mint, we enjoyed this. The place has a very healthy vibe, a lot of green inside. Stopped in here for the first time. I had only previously been to their food truck. The business was sparkling clean and the decor and murals are both beautiful and inviting. I arrived 5 minutes before they closed and they were gracious enough to still take my order. I ordered the Strawberry, Blueberry and raspberry smoothie and then a pineapple, papaya, strawberry smoothie. Both were extremely well blended, smooth and tasted delicious. We found this spot as we got in the car from having dinner in the area and decided to give it a try. I have to tell ya, we were super impressed, everything was super clean they have tables and chairs inside and outside to enjoy your tasty treats. The staff were fast and great! We tried a death by chocolate ice cream it has chocolate syrup with brownies, and chocolate ice cream! It was amazing! We also had a Cholada it was passion fruit and Strawberry gelato with fresh fruits and topped with condensed milk (my favorite). All of the desserts looked amazing! Thrilled to see GUANABANA open a gorgeously painted brick-and-mortar location! Their incredible treats and consistently bubbly customer service have been a staple in Jax year after year. These cold creations have definitely helped me survive some of the hottest days in town. No one deserves this success more than they do, and I couldn't be prouder. Convenient location with free on site parking close to the town center and IKEA on gate Parkway. The store was pretty quiet at the end of the workday. We will promptly attended to and ordered our smoothies to go! I have a sneaky feeling that they will get busier as they become more popular. They recently opened and had a food truck before the brick and mortar store. We waited about two minutes and were happy to receive our smoothies. They tasted great. Shoutout to this amazing venue!!! We got there 10 minutes before closing time and I was fast walking there for sure! We had time to sample some amazing flavors thanks to the friendly and welcoming manner of the wonderful man at the counter! This is such a fun place to get a tasty treat! I got a fruit bowl with the coconut base and added strawberries and bananas. The base was nice and creamy with a string coconut flavor. It wasn't too sweet and the fruit was very fresh. We also got an acai bowl that was also delicious. Last we got the #13 which was a smoothie with strawberry, guava, and pineapple. The smoothie was blended well but tasted really watery and only tasted faintly of strawberry. Overall a good experience and I'll be stopping in another time to try the ice pops! read more

This place is a must try! The atmosphere is amazing and the service is great! My friend and I stumbled across this place when the cafe next door was full and were pleasantly surprised. We got the smoothies and you can tell it's freshly made. The bathrooms and common areas are clean as well. My friend went back another day and got their açaí bowl and said it was 10/10, fruity, smooth açaí, and refreshing especially in this hot weather! The portion size was also really good for the price. Got an Acai bowl at Riverside Arts Market last weekend. I love these, I'm a big connoisseur of the acai bowl ever since I first had one in California many years ago. When you get a good one, it's a pretty amazing treat, especially on a hot summer day. I've had a smoothie from the Guanabana truck before, and it was very tasty. Unfortunately, I wasn't too pleased with this bowl. As you can see in the picture, it's mostly granola and very little smoothie. For a price tag of nearly $12, this was not worth it. It was a disappointment. If I go back to this truck, I'll be sticking to smoothies or maybe try a popsicle next time. read more

As part of a food truck event I spotted Guanabana and I thought that they may have some relatively healthy options. Smoothies and açaí bowls were on the menu next to their ice pops, ice cream, milkshakes, and lemonade. I ordered a pineapple coconut shake for $6. They mentioned that aside from their guanabana (soursop) smoothie and the banana, peanut butter, and chocolate smoothie, which are made with milk, the remainder of the ones on the list consist of just fruit. The first two sips were cold and refreshing, with an overwhelmingly pineapple taste. Although I could taste coconut flakes, the coconut flavor got lost in the mix. After a few sips, it just tasted icy. Given the lack of sweetness and the watered down taste, I don't think that the value was there. Perhaps adding another fruit such as strawberries or mangos would've helped the flavor. For a smoothie, I'll stick to a few places that I know make them fresh and well with higher quality at lower prices. Perhaps I'll try this truck again for an ice pop or for their award winning dessert. read more

We went to the food truck event today (9/16/17) and tried the soursop smoothie and strawberry fruit popsicle. O-M-G . That soursop tastes just like the fruit (probably because they use real fruits.) Soursop is one of my favorite fruits and it's super hard to find in Jax. I've been waiting to go to Vietnam just so I can eat a bunch of these, but now I can just have them in a smoothie. Love, love, love these popcicles. Out of all the mobile-popcicle businesses we have in Jax, Guanabana is by far my favorite. Mostly because they have peanut butter flavor which is a dream com true. The people are really nice and appreciative of feedback -- so tell them what was good and what wasn't (but they're all good!). I recently read that they sell these in Fernandina now at the little cuban cafe. These popcicles are perfectly sweet, but not too sweet and the texture is outstanding! Soft enough to bite into without breaking a tooth. Whether I'm at Art Walk RAM, whenever I see Guanabana, I stop in my tracks and buy one! read more

He did it well. I really liked their popsicles. There's not much to say about the truck cause it's a cooler box connected to a bicycle. It reminded me of the old good humor bikes that used to roam the streets of New York City. But, this guy has some yummy pops. I had the mango hibiscus pop and it was quite yummy. Guanabana Artisan Ice Pops IS a God Send! They were a beacon of light when at Welcome to Rockville festival this past weekend. Within the event, I quickly realized we were shepherded to buy and drink Coca Cola products ONLY with NO other alternative to the consciously aware of health and the agenda behind major corporations.. As you know, Coca cola products are filled with chemicals that induce dehydration and break down your system especially in the heat.... Pretty disturbing right? God answered my prayer when I seen a little cooler with a green awning tucked away on the side lines selling for what I seen as GOLD!
